Corrine Ayres was a werewolf with a charmed life. Until her love was taken from her in a place called Mesa Diablo.
Javier Roque’s wolf never rose, so he left Angels Rest to make his own way. Until a deadly threat to his pack brought him home.
Can the widowed she-wolf and the tattooed bad boy missing his wild side find what they desire? Or will they lose everything before they can claim their fate? ___________________________________________
GHOST WOLF is a standalone bbw wolf shifter paranormal romance with a Happily Ever After for the heroine and her hero, although some of the other characters first appear in the earlier books of the Wolves of Angels Rest series. And some might appear in future books! So watch out for sexy shifters in need of a true mate.
I grew up reading SFF, buying the biggest books I could with my chore money. While I loved the action, adventure, and exciting worlds, most of those stories were missing…kissing! Now I read and write paranormal romance and science fiction romance which I think mix the best of all worlds. I also write urban fantasy romance as Jessa Slade and sexy contemporary romance as Jenna Dales.
I spend most of my time at my computer thinking about stories, in my garden thinking about stories, or walking my dog thinking about stories. Hmm, I think there’s a theme… 🙂
My Thoughts - 5 out of 5 Unicorns - I loved it!!! ***Received the ebook for an honest review
The cover is awesome and makes me want to grab the book by cover alone :)
This is the 6th book in the Wolves of Angels Rest series. It is for adults only due to the steamy content. Even though, you can read the book standalone, I highly advise against this. You will miss out on so much of the characters background and how the world is if you do. So I highly recommend reading them all and in order :)
This is Corrine’s story of moving on, and we learn about a new (old) pack member Javier. They both have things to work through. I really loved their story because they have this strength that no one else knows or understands. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series :)
I highly recommend this series to all shifter lovers especially if wolf packs are your favorite and if you love Elsa’s work like I do :)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Corrine and Javier’s story delivers emotional weight with a second-chance twist. Javier’s quiet longing and Corrine’s grief-infused strength make their reunion feel earned. Their chemistry is subtle but effective, and the story adds meaningful stakes to the series’ arc.
This is a tear-jerker with a happily ever after as two wounded souls find a fresh start with each other. I absolutely loved it.
'Ghost Wolf' is the sixth book in the terrific Wolves of Angels Rest series by Elsa Jade. It is also part of the multi-author Mating Season Collection of short, stand alone paranormal romances and I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved this story and really couldn't put it down until I got to the end. Corinne's story begins in the previous book (Lost Wolf) and was heartbreaking, so I'm glad she gets another chance at happiness so soon.
Javier Roque is a werewolf without a wolf. His wolf never rose and he's never been whole, despite his father using brutal methods to make it, so in werewolf society he's considered a ghost wolf. He tried to get his wolf to rise until he was seven years old and nearly killed himself. At fourteen he stole a car, took off for Los Angeles and became a sought after tattoo artist. He never looked back until now. His beloved grandmother is dying so he's back in Angels Rest to look after her and finds ....
The whole Mesa Diablo pack, as well as some trusted humans, know who Corinne Ayres is, and what happened to her. Her true mate Felix was tortured and destroyed by the Kingdom Guard and although he's still alive, the mate bond is broken forever and he's got a new mate. The only reason she's still in Angels Rest is because she's helping to track down the place Felix was taken and turned into Zane. Half her soul, all of her heart and her entire life were brutally ripped away from her and she wants to destroy those who did it. It's the only thing keeping her going, until ....
I'm trying really hard not to give spoilers here, but this book has a lot of really wonderful characters and I especially loved Javi's Mee-Maw, who made me laugh out loud at some of her antics. I also has action, lots of steam, and the happily ever after we all expect when two wounded souls who find each other and both get someone who loves them. I cried a few times over the course of this book and at one particularly heartbreaking point had to wait until my tears cleared before I could carry on reading. I really can't wait for the next one. I love Elsa Jade's books and have read a lot of them, but I think this series is addictive and it just keeps getting better and better. I absolutely love it.
Ms. Jade out done herself this time, this book kept me glued to my seat. Reading each page, one after another to see what happened next to these two. Knowing that both of them had been through the ringer and deserved HEA. (Happy Ever After) Corrine Ayres is a she wolf from the Villalobos compound but she had to leave with Zane and Mahalia there (from book 5) See before Zane was kidnapped, drugged, lost all his memory, not even knowing his name and made to be a killer. He was sweet, gentle Felix, Corrine True Mate before the bonds were broken which left Corrine broken. So now she's at Angels Rest, but she will continue to uphold her promise to the Alpha of Mesa Diablo to find the Kingdom Guard's Outpost. Javier Roque left Angel Rest and went to Los Angeles and never looked back. He owned a Tattoo Shop and over the years he's made a name for himself. But he's came back to Angel Rest, driving back and worth because his MeeMaw is dying and he has to make sure she is being taken care of and not doing things she shouldn't do. Since he made arrangements for someone to take care of this shop, he has decided he was going to help Corrine find the Kingdom Guard's Outpost. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

I was given a copy of 'Ghost Wolf' by Elsa Jade, in exchange for an honest review.
After recently reading the last book in this series, I had read the sneak peak of this book in the back... I couldn't wait to read this. I jumped right in once I had received 'Ghost Wolf' I was VERY intrigued about the heading & then the lead characters within. I do HIGHLY recommend you read this series "Wolves of Angels Rest" in order, it's not needed, but it does make alot more sense if you do.
Corrine is in pain, to learn what was done to her mate & be able to see him, but not feel the connection anymore, to see him have the connection with someone else.... But she remains in Angels Rest to help his new pack find the Kingdom Guard responsible. A wolf without a wolf, Javier has sealed himself off emotionally, but something in Corrine draws him in....
What can I say, other than WOW!! You felt Corrine's pain, her need to be close & yet the need to stay away, then when Javier crosses her path, things become very interesting. I can't wait to read what Elsa has in mind when things finally come to the Kingdom Guard & how the Pack are going to deal with them.
Ghost Wolf is book 6 in Elsa's "Wolves of Angels Rest" series, which in turn is a part of the "Mating Season" pack series. A set of books from 6 authors, 6 different packs & an individuals story on finding their mate. I'm hoping that Elsa continues to write more of the "Wolves of Angels Rest" I've really enjoyed what I've read so far. I can't wait to delve into the other authors work in the "Mating Season" series.
Once again Elsa Jade brings to life the Wolves of Angles Rest with such passion. Corrine and Javiar story rocks!!
Corrine Ayers, wolf shifter, is trying to overcome her loss of her mate Felix, who the Guard killed and resurrected Zane as he is known now. Her well laid out life for her has been shattered, she feels broken and lost, how will she pick up the pieces?
Javiar Rogue, wolf shifter but not the typical type, he is what is known as a Ghost Wolf, one who has never shifted. He's not even sure if his wolf is inside. Tortured while a child to bring forth his wolf, he hides his pain with a life teetering on danger. His whole body is inked, it is his own story about his journey to find his wolf. His return to Angels Rest to be with his MeeMaw who is dying is one that will ultimately be his most dangerous.
In a seductive game of wills, Javiar and Corrine must decide if they will let their inner demons win, or will their wolves souls sing once and for all..
This is book 6 of this very sad yet hopeful story. In book 5 Corrine found her long lost mate Peter only to find that he was now Zane in love with another woman since his bond sigil had been removed by the Kingdom Guard.
Corrine can't forget her bonded mate since she still bears the bond sigil, unlike Zane who remembers their life together yet feels no bond pull to her. She feels like a widow with no hope for love again, she tries to drown her grief in tequila and fast sex with a tattooed, pierced bad boy. What she hadn't counted on was liking it.
Javier is a were that never shifted, a ghost wolf. Javi has returned home to Angel's Rest and decides to go out for a good time and finds Corrine. Sex drowns both of their problems in a moment of wild passion, but they have more then passion ruling their joining they just don't know it yet.
Wonderful story, can't wait to continue reading the plans to bring down Kingdom Guards.
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
I am soooooo loving this series! Can two hurt and broken people mend their torn apart souls to become one whole couple? Corrine after hunting for her lost mate found him and yet last him as well. The kingdom guard took her true mate and tortured him until the Felix she was mated to was gone, and their mate bond cut but his body lived. With his memories gone he became Zane and be came life mate to Mahalia. She saved him and in doing so Corrine lost Felix. Sitting in Gypsy's bar trying to drown her misery she meets Javi a rockin' tattooed bad boy who is on the hunt for her. Javi is half a werewolf, he was born in the clan but his wolf never showed up so he is called ghost wolf.
I love the new chance both Corrine and Javi were given. Very emotional and streaming it's a great addition to this series and a fantastic read. Don't miss it. Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.

Review for WOLVES OF ANGEL’S REST: GHOST WOLF I received this as a gift for an honest review Corinne Ayres is shattered when her mating bond is destroyed with her true mate, Felix. Or should I say Zane ? He was captured by the Kingdom Guard, tortured, burned and drugged and came out with no memory. He has his memory now but not their bond. Javier Roque is a werewolf who has never shifted. He is referred to as a Ghost Wolf. He has been alone his entire life. Never accepted by his father , who was disgusted his son couldn’t shift. Now these two lost souls find each other. He makes her forget, she makes him feel. They both know the Kingdom Guard is still out there and needs to be taken down. Both have agreed to help…but will their attraction bring them both something they so desperately need ??
This is the sixth book for in this series and so far my favorite. Javier is a ghost wolf, or a wolf who has never shifted and Corrine ( love that name) the wolf from book five that has had her heart broken. ( You must read book five to understand my prior statement.) Corrine is struggling to overcome the worse heartbreak that a wolf can have but she is willing to help in bringing down those who have hurt her. Javier is still coming to terms that he has never shifted and never will. These two come together to try to forget their hurt but instead bond over their troubles. Ike that this wasn't a instant love but one born of strength in helping each other. This is a standalone in a continuing storyline with no cliffhanger and a HEA.
I received a copy of this book for a honest review
Corrine is in a bar trying to get over he mate . Who lost his memory and now has a new mate. Not sure what she is going to do because she know he will never be her's again. Javi has come home to take care of his Grandmother and spend time with her. He really does not want to be there . He is known as a Ghost wolf a shifter who was never able to shift. These 2 meet ,but can they help each other heal from their unseen wounds. They are also trying to find the Kingdom guard who were kidnapping shifters to brain wash . Her husband had been one of them. I was given this ARC copy for a fair review and this is one fantastic read.
Lost souls coming together Corrine lost her true mate who was once known as Felix. After the Kingdom Guard changed him be became Zane and Felix died along with their mate bond. Javier was born into a Were family but never found his own wolf, never shifting and is what is called a Ghost wolf. Can these two lost s reach out to each other and help each other to heal? Hauntingly beautiful story that at one point brought me to tears and happy in the end. Well written and very entertaining to read.
Loved this story! Corinne had lost her true mate due to violence. Not to death but from their bond being broken forcefully. Javier is a ghost wolf. His wolf never came forward at all. He left as a teen and returned to be with his grandmother as she is sick. To broken hearts find each other and struggle to over come the past to start a future. Steamy and hot this story with catch your attention and not let go.
I was given this e-book by the publisher for the purpose of an honest review. My conclusions are my own. I was not compensated in any way.
Elsa Jade's Ghost Wolf brings the wolves of Angels Rest into the human world a little more. We finally get to see what it's like to be a human without a wolf. Javier wants his wolf so bad that he can't imagine actually having it. The feelings...hurt, anger, loneliness, sadness, heartache, depression, lust, love and family are all part of this story. With this story the readers will get closer to the wolves of Angles Rest.
Kindle Unlimited standalone book in series. He's a ghost wolf because he can't shift. When he returns to care for his grandmother... He meets a woman who lost her mate due to a medical procedure to make him a killing machine. Can they save each other??
This was better than I thought. We follow up with Zanes Ex and what she is going through. We see her struggling and her strength. We meet a ghost wolf with some issues. They hang out and realize that they need each other. Will they become mates? Will they save themselves? Will he find his wolf? What will happen next?
I received this free copy from the Author for an honest review.
I got this in exchange for an honest review, I have not read all the series but I will soon and I can get them even if I dont follow the correct order or read them all Corrine and Javier are great characters I loved their interactions together the emotional struggles the pain the hurt the desire the love everything was wonderful amazing I cant wait to see what happens next so worth it big time
New to the scene at angel s rest Corine finds herself in an uncomfortable situation. Enter Javier. I like that this series has a common thread through each story, and that each story stands on it's own. Like werewolves you enjoy this book and this series
Another great book by Elsa. I love the wolves of Angels Rest and was sad for Corrine in the last book, but am happy she found her place . This book has love lost and love found. It's an exciting read and I recommend it
Can't even imagine the loss that Corinne and Javier must have dealt with. I felt for both of them. It was wonderful to read their story. I was a little confused when they went to the Kingdom Guard camp. It went by so fast.
