“I’m imagining you in fuck me heels, a black garter belt, and sexy stockings and your tits and pussy at my disposal…”

“Oh princess, you’re playing with the wrong kind of fire right now.”

His fidelity is rarely given, but when it is, it’s fierce.Fidelity is the fifth and final installment of Charli and Nox’s story. I’ve been waiting to get all the answers and see how this would turn out since the first book was released, and I loved the way we got all the answers to our questions in this book! I’ll be the first to admit, a lot of times a 5 book series isn’t going to hold my attention. After a few installments, I’ll forget what has happened or get bored with the characters etc, but that DID NOT happen with Romig’s Infidelity series. Every single book kept my interest and I love how the story was weaved between not only Nox and Charlie, but other characters as well.
“Princess, I’d break any law for you. Remember, I’m Batman, and when it comes to comparisons…” I shrugged at my own realization. “…I’ll take that one as a compliment.”The fourth book in this series ended on the biggest OMG moment yet. There was a little recap at the beginning of this book, but I didn’t need it. Like I could forget all the madness that had happened between Alton and Bryce. Charli is such a strong heroine, but this time around, she did need some help being saved. Not just for herself, but because there were so many other lives at risk. So many other players in the game.
2 stars for this book and 3 for the series
Book 1 was amazing, 2-3 were captivating, 4 needed a plot while this was in serious need of an edit.
Look, we all know A. Romig is a queen of words. Words bow to her. Her Into the Light series was simply brilliant.
That said, this series was protracted, it did not need 5 serials to tell the story of Alexandra "Charli", Lennox "Nox" and the debacle that was the Montague family. I truly believe it would have been better as a trilogy.
Another issue I had was the numerous POVs. Did we need Oren's and Adelaide's thoughts? A resounding NO. Theirs were added as filler, utilized for word-count rather than import. Further, the story sort of sputtered, barely moving beyond what we knew as far back as book 3.
Then there was the need to inundate with every thought process, each step taken was excruciatingly divulged before, during and after. I skimmed a lot yet I doubt I missed any major reveals.
Seeing as I've read this intermittently over the past month, I'm just happy I finally finished. A good story but executed poorly, IMO.

His touch was the music that rocked my world. i was his instrument. Together our song filled the air.
"Mr Demetri, what did you just call her?"
"Princess, but in all honesty, she's my queen."
Alexandria was my drug and I would never let her go.

“She thought she could save those she loved. He thought he could save her. They’ll both learn the truth.”
“Sometimes the saying is true: the end justifies the means.”
“This is a game of chess, or if you like, make it a game of Battleship.”
“Every dictatorship comes to an end.”
“In the short time we’ve been together, you’ve given me back a reason to live, to wake, and to move.”
“…you’re like your son or maybe he is like you. His fidelity is rarely given, but when it is, it’s fierce.”
“There once was a beautiful princess…with flowing hair of red and eyes of gold. She lived in a castle with shadows all around. They darkened the corridors and rooms. They’d fly all around while soldiers stood guard, but the princess wasn’t scared. She was the bravest princess of them all.”
“Did Prince Charming save the princess?”
“No…Batman did. And she saved him too.”
