So, I don’t know how to start this. I usually start with a phrase and there goes, but sometimes when I’m so wrapped up with what I’m reading I kinda forget about it. And well, a new author means cherry-popping, so here goes.
I actually liked Sally from the get go. She was an embodiment of mostly female species, and I really mean species. Yes, the brave façade and very socially attitude to hide something within. I think what I like most about her is her want to explore her sexuality even if she didn’t know it.
Arkenon was cunning and mischievous and it’s actually quite refreshing. I mean I didn’t expect those qualities to be found in a man and yet I find them sexy in Ark. He’s also dominant.
It was, for the most part, a mix of highs and lows for me. The conversations were funny, and sometimes sweet and sexy. The interactions overall were endearing and cute. And the characters were actually you know you’ll love.
The setting were in a planet called Sirus so this is a case of some intergalactic love. What pique my curiosity most is because of the intergalactic setting and the Coalition Forces they were talking about. There was this also called as the Courtesan Guild of the Sirus, which they were most famous in. So there were different species and aliens and different colorings and shifter and it wasn’t actually hard to follow that about since most of the interactions were with Sirutians.
I think there comes the lows for me. This is the fourth book in the series and my first read so I’m not sure but I don’t really have the overall feel of what it’s like to live in Sirus planet. With all the classes Sally had to attend, the only thing I’ve known was the etiquette class. I think it would have been more great if I was to know the culture more aside from the practices I’ve already read. Also,I wanted to know what they would learn in the classes, and well, also her one on one apprenticeship.
I always hated when the descriptions were so vivid because it leaves nothing for my imagination. But here, I actually liked how everything was described, it wasn’t down onto little details but just to give you something you can imagine. But I guess, I was missing something. I think it would have been better if I get the overall feel of how it is to live in a different planet, and how it looked. I don’t know, all I’ve been where in the buildings and that well where the bond mating was. Speaking of it, it was quite sexy and hot and sensual.
So what else? I guess, there’s that. I’m not much sure with their tech aside from the comms and it’s all I’ve noticed so far. Aside from my other issues, I enjoyed reading quite well. I love Sally’s friend Eve and Benic and I don’t have issues with the sexual preferences nor the displays. Also, the addition of Kalista was quite intriguing. I look forward to reading her story, and of course the rest of the mates, so that’s like I think this series will grew on me.
