I received this book directly from the author in exchange for an honest review. Easy peasy. Honestly, these cozy mysteries are easy to love. No gory stuff, off-colored language, or anything offensive.

This time, Daisy takes a job decorating a movie set for a small budget film that will be shot in Cozy Creek. The first clue you get that there is going to be trouble is the trash talking, backstabbing, and fighting going on behind the scenes. From there, the murder mystery is laid out for you to follow the clues and watch as Daisy solves the case.

Daisy is down to earth and real. Granny Annie is hilarious. She doesn't know anything about whatever mystery Daisy is involved with, but she still has an opinion. Also, you’ve just got to love a girl whose best friend has a bakery.

This author’s books are easy reads and have enough suspense to hold your interest from beginning to end. With everything that is happening in the world these days, having light, cozy mysteries to distract your mind is a great thing. I find this series entertaining and feel as it continues; the characters will continue to grow and develop, which makes them even more appealing.

I haven't read the previous two books in this series, so perhaps I'm missing something here, but I do not see how this book has so many glowing reviews. This is a story completely lacking in both logic and suspense (an interior decorator who seems to think it's her responsibility to solve a murder? Seriously??) The characters are 2 dimensional caricatures, even the main character...perhaps especially the main character. Did I mention that almost every single chapter ends in the same way? With some mention of dessert. We get it, she likes sweets. But you don't need to beat us over the head with it every 2 pages. And using a variety of desserts does not make this any more fresh.

The only nice thing I can say about it was that it was blessedly short and I managed to zip through it in a day. I'm glad I don't have to waste anymore time on it. Will definitely be avoiding the rest of this series.

Book three of the series and these books are getting better with each addition. The narrator did a good job voicing the various characters.

This was an entertaining cozy mystery that I enjoyed listening to. Cozy Creek has another murder on their hands and as in previous books, Daisy soon finds herself involved.

Being the set designer for a movie being filmed in the town was always going to be interesting. Daisy is shocked when the arrogant unliked director is murdered.

With her trusted band of friends, including Samantha, Grannie Annie and Shamus, her West Highland Terrier, Daisy begins to investigate the murder.

Can Daisy and the gang sort through the clues and solve the murder?

A fun and easy reading cozy set along the Pacific coast. Daisy is amusing character with her love of sweets and chocolate. Daisy is very curious and good at matching pieces, longing for love and her of dogs The supporting staff needs to be flesh out.
Daisy is hired to decorate a movie set and the director is Murder. She is in good place to overhear the actors and actresses comment among themselves. Daisy want to solve the MURDER before the police.

Daisy McDare, amateur sleuth, saves the day again! K.M. Morgan does an excellent job creating a light-hearted, funny, quick read that also leaves you guessing until the end. It's hard to run across books that have a good balance that K.M. delivers. In addition, Daisy's love interest is moving along quite nicely. The characters are developed very nicely, especially considering it is a shorter length book. Can't wait to see what happens to Daisy next!

If you're just looking for fluff you might enjoy Daisy McDare and the Deadly Directorial Affair. The characters are flat. The mystery is solved on a hunch. No real clues to follow and the mention of food in every chapter gets ridiculous.

Cozy Creek (Pacific Coast). Daisy McDare (interior decorator) frequently took her dog Shamus (West Highland Terrier) to the dog park for walks.
But of course there was Gavin Watson & his dog Rosie (Corgi puppy).
Granny Annie Johnson (80, widow) had sold Samantha Johnson (Trevor’s GF, Daisy’s BFF) the Sweet Tooth bakery.

Daisy’s next job was to redecorate a B&B wharehouse for a up & coming movie set.
The film’s director is Hunter Hayworth (27). Isabel Foster is the screenwriter.
Nothing Bundt Homicide was the movie title.
David Foster (58, movie’s financier) also showed up to check things out.
The problem is Fiona Foster (oldest daughter, step sister) & Isabel Foster (24, youngest daughter, step sister, screen writer) both wanted to be a part of the movie.
Candy Caldwell (Hunter’s lover, Ethan’s ex-GF) played Wanda Whimsy (pastry chef).
Ethan Crabtree (29, waiter, Rizzuto’s Ristorante, Caandy’s ex-BF) played Drake Dalton (PI).
Logan Lark (assistant film director, Fiona’s BF) stayed/watched in the backgorund.

Ethan was trying for real to smooth on Candy, that wasn’t going to happen.
Why was Ainsley Adamson (Hunter’s fiancé) upset with?
Daisy arrived on the set the next day Hunter had been murdered.
Detective Chris Crumple (60, Cozy Creek PD) wanted to interview her.
Somebody whacked him in the back of the head with a frying pan.
Fiona, Ethan, Logan, Candy, Isabel, & David were next.
A funny thing is what happend to him was in the script.
It seems everyone had an alibi.

What did Logan (new director) tell Candy?

A very awesome book cover, great font & writing style. Another very well written who-dun-it murder mystery book. It was very easy for me to read/follow from start/finish & never a dull moment. There were no grammar/typo errors, nor any repetitive or out of line sequence sentences. Lots of exciting scenarios, with several twists/turns & a great set of unique characters to keep track of. This could also make another great who-dun-it murder mystery movie, or better yet a mini TV series. To be continued. A very easy rating of 5 stars.

Daisy Mcdare is at it again. Now she's working on decorating scenes on a movie set. Unfortunately once again her client winds up killed and she's pulled into another murder investigation. With the sheriff continuing to bumble his way through the case Daisy knows the only way for the killer to get caught is for her to once again do some sleuthing of her own. It's a race to catch the killer before her decorating job is done.

The mystery was good. It was interesting with all the catty back stabbing and fighting going around behind the scenes. It makes you wonder if movie sets are really like that. I really like Daisy. And Granny Annie is hilarious. I love how she doesn't know anything about the mystery and still makes a random guess of who the killer is.

The editing was better in this one than the last. There were less typo’s which was good. I do feel that while the mystery was good it was a little simplistic in places and it could be kind of cliché as well.

If you want a quick cozy mystery, then I recommend this story.

Daisy McDare is a talented interior decorator but she's even better at solving mysteries. Who would believe that her latest job as a set designer on a low budget movie would see her trying to find who killed the director? Daisy is an interesting character. She is tenacious in her pursuit of the murderer and in feeding her sweet tooth. I loved her. She is a charming and humorous. Her sassy dialogue made me laugh and the secondary characters were perfect foils for Daisy. I loved the touch of romance that Gavin added. The story was fast paced and well plotted. The identity of the culprit was a surprise. K.M. Morgan kept me guessing to the very end. This cozy mystery hit the spot. I'm looking forward to more of Daisy's adventures.

Another sweet murder mystery by KM Morgan.

This time, Daisy is out decorating a movie set. And finds out just how much everyone involved with the movie hates Hunter Hayworth, the movie director. As she snoops around asking guestions, the more confused she becomes. Everyone has an alibi as well as a motive to kill Hunter. With a bit of help from the man she hopes to have a romantic relationship with, Gavin, and a phrase that keeps running through her head, Daisy figures out the who dunnit.

This is a lighthearted, sweet-tasting murder mystery. I like how K.M. sprinkles tasty treats throughout the story, making me hungry for more (and I'm not gaining any weight reading the book). Once again this turned out to be a great read.

Daisy is at it again! Absolutely love how you get the background of the cast of characters and their interactions through the first twelve chapters. You know one of them is going to die and are tryinig to figure out which one it will be.
Then she finds the body and the rest of the book you are completely taken in trying to figure out which one of them did it.
Quick read; keeps your interest; involves you with the characters and leaves you wondering what will happen in the next book with Gavin.
Taking a line from the book: "They're addicting as brownie bites. You can't stop at just one," Granny Annie said.

I wanted to say upfront that I received a free copy from the author. This book was just as good as the first one in the series. Daisy is a spunky smart decorator that has been hired for a movie. unfortunately, the man who has hired her ends up murdered. once again the detective on the case inspires Daisy to investigate on her own. The descriptions of characters and the places are wonderful. The characters are very interesting and keep the story moving. It's very easy to like Daisy and her friends. The book is well written and I like the author's style. Hopefully there are many books to come in the Daisy McDare series.

The Sheriff is once again bumbling his way through the investigation. Daisy knows the only way the murder will be solved is if she helps investigate. I really enjoyed 'Daisy McDare and the Deadly Directorial Affair'. The storyline was well written and the way it played out was fun, cozy and fast paced. I enjoyed this quick read. The characters were great. Daisy makes an excellent interior designer with some great sleuthing skills. She definitely has a knack for being nosy and uncovering the truth. Plus I can't wait to see how it plays out with Gavin. I look forward to reading more in this series. A great add to your tbr list.

A great cozy read that I found to be as good as the first one. Daisy doesn't let anything stop her from solving the mystery and there are lots of suspects to choose from! Supporting characters are a great addition to the book. Watch out you don't gain weight while reading this book - Daisy has quite a sweet tooth! Will follow this author in the future.

Daisy McDare is at it again. I enjoy these mysteries because they are quick and easy to read and I'm a sucker for a good cozy. I hope that we will see more character development of Granny Annie and her granddaughter (Daisy's best friend) in future books. Daisy is bold and a bit "in your face" which is rather refreshing.

I chose to listen to this book after receiving a free audio copy from the author. All opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.

Daisy McDare & the Deadly Directorial Affair is a novella with a listening time of a little over 3 hours. It’s the third book in the Daisy McDare cozy mystery series.

Daisy is an interior decorator and can’t believe there’s a murder where she works for the third time. It’s not something she really wants to do, but she doesn’t think the detective on the case will figure out the killer.

This time she’s a set decorator on a movie and the director is murdered. Unfortunately, there are several people who are suspects. She spends so much time investigating the murder, she almost gets fired from her job. Fortunately, she finishes her job in time and figures out the murderer all on the same day!

The narrator, Caroline Shively, was good. Her pronunciation is great and timing were good.

I recommend Daisy McDare & the Deadly Directorial Affair to anyone who likes cozy mysteries and quick reads. I’m looking forward to listening to more of the Daisy McDare series.

After reading The Deadly Art Affair, I wanted to see what happened next to Daisy McDare. In The Deadly Directorial Affair, Daisy is busy working as a set designer on an independent movie--Nothing Bundt Homicide, that is being shot in Cozy Creek. And soon it's another decorating job, another dead body. Daisy needs to put her decorator detective hat on when Hunter Hayworth, the director, is found dead. There are a lot of people involved in the movie who weren't happy working with him, making things hard for Daisy. As she solves the murder mystery she also hopes a romance with Gavin Watson might be in her future. I like Daisy and the other characters in this series. In this book, the author did a good job of describing the characters on the movie set. I can relate to Daisy's sweet tooth!! The books in this series could be longer for my taste.

Low Budget Murder

Daisy could be considered deadly to a donut but comes in second place to Detective Crumple in her relish for that sweet. Not the book to read if trying to diet! Daisy again adds the clues and uses a stray phrase plus her direct eye contact lie-meter to solve the crime. Once more Caroline Shively's bright and cheerful narration perfectly complements the story. (This is book three of a multi book series and I enjoyed listening to a set comprised of the first three novels.)

Daisy is working as the decorator on the set of a movie, when tragedy struck and the director was killed. The clues leave no one ruled out as a suspect.
While Daisy is sleuthing, she is also thinking about the hunky man she met at the dog park earlier in the series. There’s never a dull moment when Daisy is involved.

Daisy McDare and the Deadly Directorial Affair, my fourth read/listen from author K.M. Morgan, although I own sixteen of her books I’d never gotten around to reading one until I read The Deadly Floral Affair. Each book has been better than the one before, a well-written clean cozy mystery. Since I own both the Kindle & Audible editions I was able to read along while listening. Narrator Caroline Shively talented narration added to the book's enjoyment. Up next is Daisy McDare and the Deadly Real Estate Affair (Daisy McDare #4). The idea behind the story is great. The characters are enjoyable and interesting. The thing I didn't like about the story is that it was too drawn out. The murder didn't happen until Chapter 12 or so. The majority of the book is drama amongst the film cast and crew. The Police Officer is bumbling and incompetent and is featured minimally in the story. The underlying romance between the MC, Daisy and Gavin is cute though. The book has a couple redeeming features that I liked so I'll probably read one more to give the series a fair chance.

Daisy McDare and the Deadly Directorial Affair was another good read by K.M. Morgan. Cozy Creek sees another murder happen to the little tourist town. The victim is an arrogant film director who Daisy worked with as the set decorator. She decides to do some sleuthing but needs help from her best friend, her grandma, the man she's crushing on and her dog. I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more by K.M. Morgan.
