Liam O’Connor still loved Jocelyn Charles. They had been engaged almost a decade ago. Tragically, youth, distance, and life goals ended that engagement but not the feelings they shared. Liam, now a successful rancher, and Jocelyn, now a successful social worker, still had their issues.

They still lived a distance apart. He was still a man with traditional values, and she still worked towards ending violence in homes. He still expected the rules to be followed, and she still did not believe in his methods of enforcing those rules. He still had the burning need to protect her, and she still routinely put her safety at risk. Jocelyn still had needs that could only be filled by Liam.

Will the intensity of their re-ignited emotions still incinerate and combust them, or will they now heat and meld them?

USA Today bestselling author of Contemporary and Historical Romances. I'm a proud Texan living it up in Alaska's beauty who loves to write both sweet and spicy romances.

My heroes and heroines can be found in this time or another, modern or historic, professionals or not. All include a little naughtiness, sternness, seriousness, a taste of suspense and a HEA.

I have always loved writing about sassy ladies and have done it for fun but never thought I could do it for other's enjoyment. It's my dream job and I hope I never come back to the real world.

This is the second book in the series. We are 10 years past where the last book left off. Liam and Jocelyn were unable to make their relationship work. Jocelyn broke it off, even though she still loved him. She also could not reconcile the fact that Liam spanked her. As she put it, she did not believe in spanking.

Jocelyn is very stressed by her work. She is overwhelmed. Kelli tricks her into seeing Liam again and he just takes over. Jocelyn is torn by her feelings. She both wants him to take over and doesn't want him to. I'm quite sure this is a problem a lot of women in this day have. Our society says to be independent. But, our minds and souls crave submission.

I liked this sequel to the first book. It was well written and you get the sense that both Jocelyn and Liam have grown as people. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I give this 5 stars.

LET ME TAKE CARE OF YOU
From book 1, Her Sweet Complication to book 2, ten years has passed, the engagement of Liam and Jocelyn had ended and each had eventually moved on in this lives and careers. Kelli and Jocelyn are still friends and both living in California. When Kelli needs Liam’s help in a business venture she insist that Jocelyn to attend dinner as a go-between, Liam and Jocelyn still seem to have some spark left. Neither has married, she is out of a bad relationship, his engagement to another has ended, but apparently their love for each other hasn’t died. Can Liam and Jocelyn find a happy meeting ground? She has just about worked herself to death while trying to further her education for her career. Liam lays out rules for her, deadlines and expectations. Jocelyn working in child and family protection consistently tells him she does not believe in spankings, that she is against violence and hitting. Can this dominate take-charge alpha male prove to his independent feisty female his love for her is for life, he will not bend on rules and spanking is different than hitting?

Book Two of the O'Connors Series.

The continuing story of Liam and Jocelyn several years after book one. They have separated and grown in their careers, but are pulled back together as Jocelyn spins out of control with too many irons in the fire. The chemistry is still strong, and they decide to marry.

The story feels rushed as they marry quickly and move to Liam's ranch. Jocelyn finds herself surrounded by O'Connor men (each worthy of his own novel) and at odds with her husband as their schedules have them missing each other.

Wonderful book for a couple entering a domestic discipline relationship. The description of the roles and how domestic discipline releases stress, adds conversation and brings a couple closer together is one of the best I have ever read.

Liam and Jocelyn represent so much of the world today, at odds with each other but drawn together by forces stronger than themselves. Second book in this series but can be read alone. I liked it because it seemed real to me. Characters had real emotions. It was real life. Characters were developed. The Spankings were where you would expect them to be. Not harsh or overdone. The surrounding O'Connors was fun and added to the story without overpowering it. I want to hear more about the brothers and Kelli, the wayward sister.

Sex was there but not center stage, same with Spankings, the story was the meat and man did they spark. Going back to read the first book and then hope there is more.

I started reading this series several couples ahead. I enjoyed those books well enough to commit to going back through the series. The early books seem to have a little less adventure than the later books. The romance was good enough though to carry the story without all the drama. The couple was likeable and I really liked the ranch setting and family atmosphere. This book leaves me looking forward to the next book.
