Book gives holistic view of business performance and change management. Valuable book in a sense that in many cases I've seen how business performance management is a top down thing. This book shows it could and should have people in the center of it.

I really wanted to love this book, but in truth it was a struggle to get through. While the core message,
people operate processes that deliver performance
is a good one, the author expounds on this point in a painstakingly slow and repetitive fashion. No exaggeration, this text could have been 30% shorter.

There are moments this book feels like a lit review of organisational diagramming. While this might be useful if you are planning an offsite, books like the business model canvas do it better. Similarly SME leaders interested in org design, execution and culture could do worse than NOBL, Eight to Late and First Round Review - all of whom publish regularly on these topics.
