Some heroes aren't born... they're built. Westley Worthington has found the love of his life in Cordelia. But when he pushes her away to protect her family, he fears he’s lost her forever.
Cordelia Cross has never felt about anyone the way she feels about West. Which is exactly why she is resolved to keep her distance.

Can he save the day one last time, before the technology that saved him finishes him for good?

The final book is written more like a comic book than the first two books. At least the first 3/4 of it. But this is not Gotham and West isn't Batman. For one, he has a sense of humour ; ) I wasn't sure how everything could be resolved by the time I got to 75% and then things became less predictable. I despaired of West and Cord ever pulling their heads out of their butts, but finally Mallory intervenes. I didn't find the ending at all ending at all disappointing even though the author wraps everything up pretty quickly. Not everything is wrapped up nicely so I do wonder if there'll be spin off books. There's only a wee bit of naughty in this books, as with the first two. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn't more discussion about what it was like with all the mechanical parts. He comes across as just a regular guy when they are intimate. Overall, it was another fun read/listen and I would definitely read more by this author!
Tasha Black never disappoints! She has done it again with another winner that in my opinion, should become a bestseller!! She has set the bar even higher this time & totally outdone herself with this book from the "Building A Hero" series! I loved the first 2 books, but this 3rd book is now my favorite and a multi-genre story! Once I started reading, I did not want to put it down, that's how fantastic it was!
A well-written novel that is a perfect example of fiction at its best, no matter the genre! An action packed PNR must read with romantic-suspense, sci-fi, shifters and fantasy blended so well, it will satisfy any genre of fiction for readers! A new & different storyline with twists and turns that will keep the reader engaged & the pages turning, while the vivid details & descriptions pull the reader right into the story :)
You can always count on well developed characters and fantastic dialogue that will totally entertain! One of my favorite scenes has this awesome quote, "Tables and stations full of mechanical objects filled the room. If the terminator had been Santa Claus, this would have been his workshop." LOL ;)
Yes, I was gifted an advanced readers copy in exchange for an honest review. Well I honestly loved Upgraded & recommend all books by this talented author :D I cannot wait for her next books to come :)
I couldn't wait to read the final of Westley & Cordelia's story, it has been a few months since I read book 2, but within the first chapter I was back inside their lives. 'Upgraded' is the last book in Tasha' "Building a Hero" trilogy, I HIGHLY recommend you read this from the start, as the story continues chronolically from book 1. Starting shortly after where book 2 'Augmented' finished we see Westley & Edward still trying to clean up the city, West discovering what life without Cordelia is like... We see Cordelia living her life away from West, working for Peter & trying to figure out why West would blow up like he did.
I devoured this book, I didn't wait it to end, I was at the 80% mark wondering just how things would finish, it didn't feel like enough pages where left for the storyline. Yet I never felt like I was rushed through. There were so many twists & turns, but all my questions where answered. Tasha kept me riveted to my ereader once again, I was gripping my seat, biting my nails (which I hate doing), all whilst FLOVING this final book in the "Building a Hero" trilogy. I can't wait to read what Tasha brings out next.
I received this book for a honest review: I was once again transformed into a city where there is a battle of good vs bad. I was on the edge of my seat threw the whole book. I have loved the characters in this series from the start. My emotional where all over the place. I can't wait to read what Tasha Black writes next :)
At last.....I was eager to read this and then wanted it to never end. Wes has been upgraded, his accident helped him to discover himself and open his heart to really see what's going on in the world outside his circle & life of abundance. His transformation is not only on the outside but it goes deep down into his heart, his love for Cordelia and her sister has no boundaries.
Cordelia was never in an accident but she has been upgraded too, she's always been very smart but lacked the confidence to be bold enough to take charge of her intelligence, Wes saw that in her and helped draw that out.
They both have their own insecurities about each other, this time around though Wes is a little..... tired of being.... frustrated, lol. Such a heartfelt plot, my emotions and shock meter were all over the place this time around. Their journey is not easy and sometime I was even doubtful that it would be successful, but it is soooo well written. Great series, I loved reading every drama-filled, action-packed page, it was so gripping that I couldn't put it down. This is definitely a series that will draw you in and pull you back to reread when you have a need to read something with depth, excitement, intrigue and love without bounds.
The finale is bittersweet for me because although Wes & Cordelia got on my last nerve at times, I am very happy for them yet I will miss their entertaining shenanigans.
Upgraded is the third book in the Building A Hero series by Tasha Black. Cordelia Cross is in love with Westley Worthington but she is determined to keep her distance. She thinks she knows what kind of man Westley is and she does not want her heart broken. She does everything in her power to stay away from Westley even quit her job and work for Westley's old friend. Westley is about to lose everything that matters to him, his friends, his company, his wealth and even his life. Will Westley and Cordelia be able to put there preconceived ideas about the other aside long enough to talk to each other and find out how the other person feels or will they go their separate ways without a second thought? I love this book, it's a great read with amazing characters. You watch the characters grow which each book.
This is the third book in the Building a Hero Series. This story continues where the second book ended. Like the first books in the Series, the storyline is fast-paced, action packed, suspenseful, with some funny scenes. I love the conclusion of the Cordelia and West's story. The secondary characters are also very interesting. The ending is perfect! I love this book and this Series! The narration is well done. Mason Lloyd has a great voice, that suits perfectly the story. I enjoyed my listening! I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
Warning: this is book 3 of a trilogy. For the complete (and glorious) tale you WILL WANT to read all three books. It is a romance with paranormal elements. It is a page turner with undertones of sinister music in the subconscious. I found myself muttering "don't do it" and wanting to reach within the pages to smack somebody upside the head. And the finale -- wow. Note: do not skip to the end. Savor the building of the story. Bravo !! Bravo!!
I received a free copy of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was good, my paranoid was high as hell lol because when I got to the end where Wes saved Jess, I thought he died, I'm here like got me reading this and he died? come on man lol! But in the end, he didn't die, thanks to M. She saved him again, and Peter and the guy who threw Wes off his building got what they deserved. Karmas a B. I like when karma get people when they treat people wrong even if it's real life or fiction.
Listen to this on Audible, this book was good, didn't have any complaints I was happy when they finally gave it to Peter and that guy who threw Wes out that window. and I was also happy when Cordelia butt finally started talking to Wes again <3 I was stressed towards the end because I thought Wes was dead until he showed up at the business meeting :) Wes was babe, but he wasn't lol I just liked him and Dalton lol.
I read these books quickly, as I really enjoyed the characters and storyline. I have to say that it was well worth the time spent. Ms. Black knows how to develop characters and spin a fascinating tale. Definitely worth a read!
Book 3 tugs at heart strings. You think the book is going one way only to find it going another. We find out more about Dalton. West turns out to be a good guy after all. People find out there is payback when it comes to karma. Great ending to the trilogy.
I love reading Tasha's books and I have never been disappointed. OMG! This is another best seller in my opinion! Tasha is one of my favorite authors, she has set the bar even higher with this series. Book 3 from the "Building A Hero" series is a great addition! I fell in love with the first 2 books, but the 3rd book is now my favorite and a story! Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down, that's how awesome it is! This well-written novel is a perfect example of entertainment at its best! It's a action packed, must read, romantic, suspense, sci-fi, shifters and fantasy all in here. This is a storyline that's different with twists and turns that will keep you engaged, but you can't stop turning the pages. The descriptions are very vivid with details that pulls you the reader right into the story. The characters are well developed and the dialogue is fantastic and entertaining!
OMG! I have to say it again, what a absolutely fantastic book! This is book 3 in a trilogy. It's about West, a very spoiled billionaire who is living his life as if nothing and nobody matters. That is until he hires Cordelia, for his personal assistant. This series has action, character development and is fantastic! Each storyline develops quickly and is told over the three books. The series is full of good guys and bad guys and it has real life superheroes. This book is amazing and you can't help but love it. There is a surprising end and its not what you can have predicted. It is absolutely perfect. I fell in love with all characters even the secondary ones. This series can satisfy any genre you read!
I received a ARC for my honest opinion in a review, but I honestly loved this and would buy it, I recommend all books by Tasha Black. She is a very talented, creative author and I'm excited and can't hardly wait to see what new books she will write. This series is a Magnificent addition to your TBR list.
If you believe in the world of paranormal romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

I was given an ARC by the author in exchange to an honest review.
It is so sad to see a good series coming to an end but i have to say that Tasha has outdone herself and i have hopes that perhaps we will get to see more of allthe characters in a perhaps continuation ...
Yes i want more!
I feel Dalton's story and Sterling's are hardly done...to be true i think their story hasn't even started despite everything these two have been through. As for Wes and Cord....i am happy to see their story end and sad at the same time. They have been through hell and back and despite the fact that we went through hell as well to get their HEA i still feel that some things were not explained as much as i would like.
The story once more was like a rollercoster with some very highs and some very lows and you couldn't predict what was to come after the turn .I cried at points and laughed hard at others. I want to see more of Jess....still her story is hardly said and as with West and Cord i wanted a bit more of her.The eding seemed a bit hasty in contrast to how much the story was developed butstill it left me full of emotions and love and a sweet sorrow to have to say goodbye to them .An excellent job by Tasha Black and a must must must must must read from me for this series!!!
Title: Upgraded Building Hero (Book 3) Author: Tasha Black Reviewer: Stephanie Jordan #Romance #Fantasy #Superheroes ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Ohhhhhhhhhh My Goodness this has to be the Best ending ever. Wow I'm like really excited all three books are phenomenal I can't say enough, If you have read my reviews in the past you will know I only have a few authors that I consider Golden. So Yes I say Ms. Black is "Golden" everything she write supercedes in the next book. I feel that if you read book 1 and 2 whatever I tell you could ruin it for you on book 3. This is definitely a MUST Read. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

This series is the first time I have read something in the superhero genre. And I must say I really enjoyed it. Tasha Black has created characters that are engaging and a plot that keeps the reader’s attention till the very end. She has created a world in Glacier City where readers can get lost in the story and its charismatic inhabitants. There is a little something for everyone in the series. If you are looking for love, hope, redemption and a superhero, Upgraded: Building A Hero (Book 3) has them all!
Final book in a Trilogy that is Divine, love, love, love it!
Oh my, what an absolutely fantastic book. This is the third book in a trilogy. The trilogy is about West, a spoiled billionaire living his life as if nothing and nobody matters. Until he meets Cordelia, who he hired as his personal assistant. No, this is not one of those love at first site billionaire romance books that I see often (and also enjoy). This trilogy has depth, a lot of character development, a fantastic storyline that develops quickly, evolves, and is fully realized over the three books. The book has good guys and bad guys and in between guys that become good or bad and it has real life superheroes. No, this is not a paranormal romance per se, but is has some amazing things that you will love. And the ending was not what I would have predicted. It was perfect. But I hope a couple of the secondary characters like Dalton and Mallory and Jess get their own story. I loved those characters and want to see what becomes of them.
And Upgraded rounds up the trilogy Building a Hero by Tasha Black and although I knew this was coming, I feel empty inside knowing I will never see West and Cordelia again. Brilliant books, it's been an amazing journey and there couldn't have been a more fitting ending to this amazing saga. The characters evolve and transition into their better selves with every turn of the page, action and heartbreak and a feel good factor throughout. Jess is a force to be reckoned with, Dalton is loyalty and integrity personified, Cordelia was probably the most unsure of herself....even though she redeemed herself in my eyes and West... Holy goddess of hotness...Mallory deserved a medal for hardwork and persevernce and that Peter...oooh I might have virtually kicked him where the sun don't shine a couple of times. It's a sad sad day when a series comes to an end, but knowing that all these beloved characters still reside on my kindle puts a smile back on my face. I was gifted an ARC in return for an honest review.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
West said some horrible things to Cordelia in his fear and now she's gone from his life. She works with Peter now and he's busy being a superhero. But things aren't always what they seem and strange things are happening all around them, starting with the increased crime rate.
I LOVED this ending to the Building A Hero series. West started out at this unbearable spoilt entitle rich guy and turned into a hero. Granted he doesn't communicate well and for this reason may have lost Cordelia forever. Cordelia is just as stubborn, but the hurt from West is easily understood. This book had be anxious to know if they can work things out as a couple. But also anxious to know what happens to the side characters, like Jess and Dalton. I needed to keep reading to know if they get their happily ever after. I got sucked in and was unable to leave until the end.
Dude, I was about to say nooo not Wes, I liked him even though he was a perk in the beginning II still liked him. And Peter wasn’t truly his friend in the beginning because what friends does you like that? Like come on now, you choose to work for someone like that, I was glad that Peter and the other guy got what they deserve, and Wes didn’t die I was upset, for like 2.5 seconds lol. Ugh. Heart all racing and stuff. Lol!!
this is a stellar continuation of the other two books! and also the end (i'm secretly hoping it is not thought!) with this book we get the ending to many of the ruling conflicts that have arising in the previous two books, albeit is human, supernatural or cybernetic. once more a lot of soul-searching is needed before any of them manage to make the right decision. conflicts are coming left, right and center, even from the back! this was a thrilling ride to be a part of and this last book in the trilogy gives it the ending it needed but it also doesn't cut of everything (that's why i secretly hope for more someday!)
a must have if you read and liked book one and two!
Oh wow just wow. It needs a 10 star rating Were to start this is the 3rd book in the series. To get the full feel if the series I would recommend staring with book 1. Westley and Cordelia are the main characters in this story BUT not the only ones. Edward, Jess and Mallory are all working together to help Glacier City. Peter (West's ex best friend) plays a big role and up to his games. I LOVE this series. I think I just might be my favorite one! Love the twist and turns the author takes you in the story and the role a coster ride of emotions lol my mind is just blown away right now. It's full of action, mystery, intreg and storyline ! It's fantastic Book gifted for an honest review and I honestly loved it.
** I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review **
West and Cordelia had a bad break up in the last book, and even thought they still care for each other, West has some explaining to do and an apology to make...West is slowly deteriorating from the prosthetics he is using...and the city is in almost an all out war...Also there are people in the company that do not have West's best interests at heart...
I liked the way this wrapped up..I like that Cordelia and West worked it out and I am sad this is the end for these books!! LOVED THIS SERIES!!!!
I really liked this series! It's not everyday a rich man finds himself broken down and built back up. It's only thanks to Cordelia showing West how worthless his life was before that, that made him change. As their connection grew stronger, and their struggles progressed due to West's hidden heroism, I was transfixed and couldn't put the book down. Unfortunately, as I was getting to the end of this story I was startled to find how West was ending his legacy. It only made this story that much sweeter!
