Rate this book
Alex and Prudence return in Loving the Candidate, the second book in the Capital Affairs Series, following Loving the Senator.

Alex and Prudence finally have everything they ever wanted. Years of push and pull have concluded in a storybook wedding complete with a romantic and bliss-filled honeymoon.

But, that is short lived.

When a tragedy strikes, they land back in the news and find themselves at the mercy of the paparazzi.

But the Senator from Virginia isn’t one to let his politician aspirations suffer at the hands of a vicious and vindictive media. He has a keynote speech to give at the Democratic Convention.

Unfortunately for Alex, it isn’t the media he has to worry so much about. Prudence discovers a family secret that had long-sense been buried which makes her question everything in her life – including her relationship with Alex.

Can they remain strong despite all that comes their way, or will LOVING THE CANDIDATE turn out to be harder than Prudence ever imagined?

I can't believe this book ended on a cliff hanger and book 3 was never published.

I can only sat WOW!

Both books were good. Love Prudence but thought Alex a bit of a selfish jerk.

Definitely worth reading if you don't mind that there is no HEA !

This is the second book in the Capital Affairs series and like all this authors work I was not dissapointed.

We end straight back into Alex and Prudence's life's. They are starting married life and overcome every obstacle that life throws at them but the love between these two characters truly melt your heart.

Alex is now running to become president and Prudence is having to realise what exactly it means to be married to this hot highly powered senator.

In this second installment we see not only their marriage tested but for the love and trust they feel for one another. As the reader you feel yourself hoping and cheering on that this hot high powerful couple come through the other side.

The secondary characters play a big part in this book.

I am afraid I want to say more but I don't want to give any spoilers away.

All I can say if u loved the first book then this book will not dissapoint you in anyway.

It leaves you with a major cliffhanger

I had a hard time at first getting into this. Then it got good, then more drama. Then it was getting good then guess what???? A major cliffhanger so NOT happy. That is why I am giving in 3 stars. I am not sure if I even want to continue with this series. But I will have to thanks to this huge cliffhanger. I hope the next book, will be the last one.
