However, here Fergus Garrett, Christopher Lloyd's head gardener and his successor at Great Dixter, greatly expands and develops the theme of meadow gardening. Garrett's introduction is accompanied by brand new photography by Carol Casselden. This edition is completely redesigned.

not only does christopher lloyd describe how meadows develop and how much they've changed in the past century, but he incorporates photos, instructions, planting suggestions and a warmth that makes you want to run out and plant five acres of grasses and flowers.

Very interesting resource for dedicated landscaper. A reminder to average gardeners how little we know! His reputation for clear and approachable writing is well deserved.
