Home isn’t what Sophia remembers, and who she used to be feels as far away as the Axis powers do in Europe. Though she is finally safe with Adrian in the U.S., both of them are finding it hard to put the war damaged pieces of themselves back together. With their marriage in a fragile state, Sophia clings to her secrets as she tries to keep from completely falling apart...
That is, until a chance encounter with a familiar face blows the past wide open for both Sophia and Adrian, propelling them on a journey to liberated France. As Sophia struggles to deal with her past and her trust in her husband disintegrates, it’s not just their relationship that’s at stake, but their very lives.

Wow. A house made of avocado and a yard full of foxes. I think that would be my heaven.
If you write WWII fiction, don't hesitate to contact me so I can add your book to my to-read list! It's probably obvious, but I love reading about WWII and am always eager to communicate with fellow authors!
I couldn't get anything accomplished once I began this last book of the series. I fell in love with Sophia and her courage from the very first time I met her. I grew frustrated with her at times, when she didn't seem to have any sense of what was upon her. In this book, everything was wrapped up with the happy ending that Sophia and Adrian deserved.
What a wonderful ending to a wonderful series. I am a WWII fanatic and I have read too many books to count on the subject. This series is right up there with the best. Sophia and Adrian are characters that we can all relate to. If you are a fan of WWII, this series does not disappoint!!
5 stars for wrapping up all loose ends. 5 stars for a great read and ending to a 7 part book series. Great series to read from beginning to end. Highly recommend it! I felt like the characters developed beautifully throughout the novels and wouldn't change a thing that happened.
