It happens all the time, best friends become more, but for Alesia, who realizes who Tiago may be in her life, the wait is getting horrendous. Tiago has too many ghosts in his closets, too much baggage to realize what is right in front of him. He has a secret that if misused in a moment of anger could make him an enemy to the entire supernatural world, and he is struggling to control this dark power.

Rogue shifters threaten the very existence of the Rock Run clan and they aren’t above using Tiago and Alesia as captive pawns to call the powerful alpha out. Tortured and abused, Tiago must find a way to save his pack, Alesia, and himself.

Rebecca Rivard is back, fueling the flames of sensuality and the love of the eternal battle between good and evil, Tempting the Dryad. Filled with powerful scenes, larger than life characters and high tension, Ms. Rivard gives her readers another fast-paced, high energy read where love and lives are on the line! Prepare for steamy sensual scenes, vicious and cruel scenes and watch one Fada shifter struggle to realize how he fits in the world and what the Dryad means to his life!
This is paranormal fantasy coming to life, thanks to Rebecca Rivard.

Another fantastic addition to this sexy series. I love following along each characters journey and discovering more about them and all the different clans as well. Everything always interconnects seamlessly and I can't wait to discover where the story goes from here. There's plenty of action, tension, suspense and of course alpha sexiness.

He was hers. 5 SMART OTTERS

It was time he acknowledged it. Please Goddess, don’t let this be another dream. Because Goddess, she wanted him. If there was one thing he’d learned in the past few years, it was how to tempt his dryad. HOLY FADA! What an ABSO-FADA-LUTELY FAENOMENAL story!! I honestly wasn't sure what to expect for Tiago's story OR if I would like it... But I guarantee I didn't see ANY of this coming and I love, Love, LOVED every single word of it!! Well almost every single word of it... I feel compelled to say that there were a few very small parts that were on the dark side, but thankfully they are not scenes you live, just the aftermath/recovery/etc. I think Rebecca did a great job with those parts too! Enough information so you know what happened, but not enough to push it over that dark edge that borders on bring too dark for me! But that is one of the many reasons why I am thoroughly LOVING this series! Rebecca knows exactly what it takes to create the perfect story & series to capture my attention & heart!! Like these complex characters of hers! The Dryad Alesia? WOW! She surprised me constantly, but always in a good way! As for Tiago, well, really, how bad can a guy be if one of his best friends is an otter named Fausto?!! Fausto is freaking adorable and had me giggling constantly! But to answer my question, apparently a guy CAN be almost bad, even with an otter trying to help him! But that's all I'm saying! I don't want to ruin it for you! wink I love that this one is set 5 years after the last book, giving Tiago time to grow up & mature into the warrior he now is. Plus we get to catch up a bit with the others, which is always one of my favourite parts of a "true" series! Meaning that while each book does involve a soon-to-be couple, there are storylines that follow from book to book. Overall I loved this book and all of its humor, friendship, heartbreak, passion, enemies, frustration, love, family, as well as all of the intense, nerve wracking, heartwarming & heart pounding moments!! In fact, I was so caught up in this book, I stayed up all night reading it!! I just couldn't put it down! Once again Rebecca has blown me away with the enrichment and depth to her Fada Shapeshifters series! Her rich, sensuous & perfectly detailed descriptions bring it all to life around me, making me feel as if I am REALLY there, seeing, smelling, hearing, touching everything that the characters are, all while pulling me in so deep that I can all but believe that I AM those characters, that the feelings I am experiencing are not my own, but Tiago's, Alesia's, Dion's, Cleia's, Rui's, Adric's & Marjani's! Rebecca is one exceptionally talented author who has also been blessed with a very powerful Gift - the Precious & most Cherished Gift of Storyteller! You should, no you NEED to read & experience this series for yourself! You will love, Love, LOVE it!! Come on! Would I Dryad to you? Nope! And that's no oak! wink ROTFL

Reviewer’s Note: If you haven't already read the entire series, I personally recommend reading them in order as it will deeply enhance the Reading Experience! However, they can probably be enjoyed on their own too. wink

Tantalizing, suspenseful fantasy romance! Discord and conflict continues among the water and earth fada. Triago is embroiled in personal conflict; while, Alesia and Triago are drawn to each other...Characters continue to grow as the action progresses. Satisfying read. Hope there's more to come!

Hot and sexy paranormal romance. The series keeps getting better and better as we get to know everyone better and see the dynamics of the clans and family. This one has some action and violence and a few steamy scenes.

Five years since book two and we get to see Tiago finally grow up and get over his crush and jealousy before it destroys him. But one lovely dryad maybe exactly what he needs to temper his beast. Can't wait for the next book.

Title: Tempting the Dryad
Series: The Fada Shapeshifters
Note: Book 3 and is a HEA with no cliffhanger
Author: Rebecca Rivard

This is my review of Tempting the Dryad, book 3 in The Fada Shapeshifters world. I got this third book through an Amazon purchase. This is the continuation of a great series but it does have its own ending. Be warned though you will not want to stop with just this one book and if you have not read the others you will want to read them right after this.

PLEASE NOTE THIS REVIEW DOES CONTAIN POSSIBLE SPOILERS THE OTHER BOOKS SO IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THAT YOU MAY SEE SOMETHING HERE THAT WILL GIVE AWAY PART OF THOSE BOOKS.

Meet the Fada, magical shapeshifters who can turn into magical creatures. They are looked down upon by most races because they are considered "mixed bloods". There are also the Sun Fae, magical men and women who seem to be the best of the best.

This book follows Tiago who is the younger brother to the river fada's alpha, Dion. If you read book 1 you know the issues that Tiago is dealing with. He still believes that he loves Cleia and is getting more and more upset the longer that he sees Dion and Cleia together. In this book Cleia is pregnant so Tiago is especially upset. In book 2 we met a Dryad named Alesia who lives in the river fada territory and is protected by the river fada. Tiago and Alesia have become good friends but Tiago wants more from her and is unwilling to try to go for it because he does not want to lose Alesia as a friend. The ironic part is that Alesia has feelings for Tiago as well and is just waiting on him to figure out what they really are to each other. By the time Tiago wakes up and realizes what is going on it may be too late. Tiago is one of the rare fada who has more than 1 gift and his second one is a dark gift that can get him shunned from all he loves so he hides it. For a second time in his short life he runs the risk of being kicked from all that he loves. When Tiago is made into a forced participate in a plot that would start the river fada, earth fada, and Sun Fae into war his secret is accidentally revealed to his enemies. Tiago is forced to do things he does not want to do and his only hope is the clan that will possibly shun him when they find out what he can do. Can he stop a war, save Alesia, and stay with his clan?

I loved this book and was sad when it was done. I had wanted Tiago to get his own story since what had happened to him and I was not disappointed with this book. I was very glad to read it and I am sad that right now there are no more books from this area of the fada/fae and I can only hope the author is working on more!

Tempting the Dryad is the third in the Fada series and probably by far my favorite!

Tiago is the youngest brother of the hero of the first book and hasn't always been hero-quality in prior books and he is far from perfect at the start of this one, making him very realistic hero with good and bad qualities. To be honest, I really didn't like him at all in the first two books. So I was worried going into this one.

Though still in puppy love with his brother's wife and loathing himself for it, he has worked hard to redeem himself in the eyes of his clan and his brother, whose opinion he values above all others. He has even been able to strike a friendship with a lovely dryad named Alesia who has been raised to be fearful of Fada and her animalistic ways especially after the events of the second book in the Fada series (don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't read it yet!). Tiago is coming into a dark power and is struggling to keep it hidden lest his clan find out or he could get banished and disowned by his family.

Despite her fear of the Fada and her mother's warnings, Alesia is drawn to Tiago and is convinced he is her mate, seeing only good in him. But she won't settle as second fiddle to Tiago's sister-in-law.

I really enjoyed this book! Though I wasn't crazy about Alesia as I was about the previous heroines Cleia and Valeria. She didn't come off as strong as the other two at first and I was expecting her to be more Fae-like similar to Cleia. Living as a Dryad, I also wondering where she was getting all of her jeans and blouses (ends up getting explained later though!) But I still really liked her and thought she was Tiago's perfect match. They were both very powerful but seemed to struggle to find their confidence or their place in the world.

I can't wait for the next book, which I belive is focusing on the land Fada. I just love the mythos of these books. If you're looking for a new spin on shapeshifters and Fae, this series is a must read!

An excellent series - Book #3 in the Fada Novel series

A very complex world of conflicting Fada clans. The Rock Run River Fada is rival to the Baltimore Earth Fada. Fadas are a mixture of fae, human and animal. They are ruthless, untamed – and irresistible to the one person fated to be their mate. I did not read the first two in the series, but the author starts the book explaining the world and the dynamics between the main characters.

The Fada received their “gift between puberty and age 30 – Tiago the main character in this book has the gift of communicating with animals – but he has a second “gift” of compulsion – he can bend other to his will. He keeps this second “gift” a secret as it makes him very dangerous. The River Fada keep an eye on 3 Dryads who tend the forest and animals. Tiago is attracted to Alesia the middle dryad, but is not certain if the feeling is mutual, or he is unwittingly using compulsion to create her attraction.

Tiago has an altercation with River Fada who had been banished, but somehow made it back; finding himself drugged and beaten – his beast emerges to the detriment of those attacking him. Locked up with Tiago is the sister of the Earth Fada who has also been attacked; someone is trying to start a war. Alesia feels Tiago’s pain through their mate link (which Tiago does not yet recognize) and goes to him.

Can relationship between Tiago and Alesia, Fada and Dryad, work out? Will those trying to incite war be successful, and will Tiago be able to control his second “gift”? It would be smart to read the series in order, but I still thoroughly enjoyed this book, and the author does a good job of providing necessary background.

Tiago is brother to the clan alpha. He's made mistakes in the past, but now he's trying to find his place in his clan. He's holding onto the past and can't see that he just might lose his future.

Alesia is a dryad, and Tiago's best friend. But, he's also her mate, even if he doesn't realize it.

I had a bit of trouble getting into this story at first. I agree that this is a stand alone story, but I think reading the previous books would have made things a bit smoother. That being said, once I got a handle on the characters and their world the story started to flow.
This was unlike any other shifter story I have read before and I love that. it was interesting to see shifters that were not locked into being one animal. There are different factions of shifters and fae, some are good, some bad, and some straddle the lines. The author does a great job of bringing all of these characters together into an exciting and multilayered story. The settings are described vividly, the characters are interesting and developed, and there is plenty of drama and excitement.
The journey of Tiago and Alesia to their HEA is not an easy one, and these two really had to work for it. From kidnappings, violence, clans on the verge of war and so much more, there is not a dull moment. From sexy alpha shifters to their strong loving mates, this is a story I whole heartedly recommend.

This is the third novel in the series, and my favorite so far. I may be biased because of my affinity for Greek mythology, but Alesia quickly became one of my favorite heroines regardless of what she was. I have also been waiting for Tiago’s story since his obsession with Cleia didn’t end when she became Dion’s mate. I have been rooting for Tiago to find his own place and mate in the world, and I was glad to finally see his story develop. Alesia is a strong female lead who is the woman to put Tiago in his place.

I personally feel that this is the best in the series so far. While there is nothing missing from the previous installments, Tempting the Dyrad just seem to add a whole new dimension to the series. It feels more fleshed out with a more dynamic storyline and characters, as well as a finely developed world and mythology.

If you are new to Rivard’s writing, expect erotic scenes, action that will have you on the edge of your seat, a fantastical world filled with powerful races, and alpha males who sometimes just need a clue. Rivard continues to deliver toe curling, steamy scenes with couples you can’t help but root for. With a nice balance between action and development, Rivard expertly delivers a dynamic story that wants for nothing.

I highly recommend the series to those looking for a steamier paranormal romance.

What an awesomely delightful & enchanting PNR fantasy page turner, with the unique magical 'Fae' and other shapeshifters. This was the first I've ever read by this talented author, but it won't be my last! ... Ms. Rivard has woven an amazing modern day Fairy Tale that will captivate 18+ adults. Wonderfully crafted details & descriptions that pulled me right into the book with technicolor imagery... Once I started reading I did not want to stop, but of course I had to when real life got in the way, LOL, then I couldn't wait to get back to it! ...The characters were fascinating and there was just the right amount of back-story provided that I could understand the dynamics, since I haven't read the first 2 books yet. Fortunately, these books are written to stand-alone & I will definitely be reading the others and soon as I already own those! Oh, and you better have a fire extinguisher handy for the sexy, hot & steamy romantic scenes ;) ... I never write recaps or spoilers, but I do know when a book is fantastic and when to highly recommend one and this, my fiction reading friends, is definitely a one-click must read! ... Even though I was fortunate to receive an advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review, I really did enjoy this and strongly recommend adding this to your TBR list, with the first 2 books in the "Fada Shapeshifter" series.

ARC for review.

The third book in the series and fantastic!

I loved the story of Tiago and his mate Alesia. Tiago's struggles in the previous two books become more apparent in this story and it expands on Tiago's ability and his reluctance to use it, as powerful as it makes him.

Alesia is his 'port in a storm'. Offering her own type of calming effect; nature and her gentle loving ways as a dryad. I particularly loved Alesia's story. She is a strong possessive female in her own right and one that will show the shifter who she knows to be her mate, that she will stop at nothing to love him and bond their mating even despite Tiago's slowness to acknowledge the mating.

The story surrounded itself with Alesia and Tiago; BUT also showed snippets of hopefully forthcoming story lines, for other shifters in the Baltimore Earth Clan and also the River Run Shifters. The story enveloped more characters and seemed more in depth showcasing further characters and brief looks at their pasts for future expansion!

This third installment was again a steamy, romantic and erotic tale of love and its challenges in a mythical and other worldly earth! - It was another fantastic read and one i devoured in just over a day! It was hard to put down - Those looking for a shifter romance with erotic paranormal writing - Rivard is an Author for your list!

Fada and Fae

In this third standalone book in the Fada Shapeshifter series, the author again features fada and fae. This is a different, wonderfully suspenseful series that draws the reader in and continues to entertain to the ending.
I can't wait to read book #4.

Tiago do Rio, youngest brother of the fada Rock Run river shifter clan alpha, Dion, was the last aquatic shapeshifter ensnared and seduced by the Sun Fae queen, Cleia, five years earlier. When she learned his age, she sent him home, telling him to return in seven years. Then she met and mated with Dion, leaving Tiago feeling jealous and resentful.

Alesia is a fae dryad who lives in an oak tree on an island in the Rock Run Clan's territory. Over the last five years, she and Tiago have become friends during his visits to her island. But as his feelings for Cleia finally begin to wane, he realizes he is attracted to Alesia as more than a friend. Tiago has been keeping a dark secret, though, one that is revealed when he and the earth shifter alpha's sister are drugged and kidnapped. And it finally hits Tiago that he has found his mate, just as his life may become forfeit. This is an excellent 4.5 star KU Library read.

Another amazing book this one following Tiago and Alesia . We find Alesia has felt the mate bond for sometime now but in the 5 yrs since Valeria's kidnapping, Tiago has trying to hide his gift of compulsion and keep his dark beast down. He believes he needs to have Alesia and get her out of his system... Until he and Marjani are kidnapped by none other than Benny and Jorge. Banished some 5 years ago to the desert for kidnapping Valeria they are back and all hell is about to break loose. Marjani is Adric little sister and has been drugged and rape by Benny,Jorge and other shifters. Tiago fights the drugs and kills Benny making Jorge run and hide. Jorge is trying to create his own clan and the last thing Dion or Adric need are ferels running loose. Whilst Dions clan and Adrics clan are looking for the ferel shifters Adric sees Rosana do Rio... Little sister to lord Dion. He first saw her at the mating ball for Dion and Cleia and has held a wanting for her ever since. This book is a great read very hot and steamy with sad moments, but a great HEA ... Then on to book 4 Adric and Rosana... Now that will be a great book X

Well, Rivard has written her best installment yet in the Fada Shapeshifter Series. In this exciting (you can interpret that in more than one way) book, Tiago sets out to make up with his alpha, who also happens to be his brother Dion, for things that happen in a previous installment. He is becoming darker in his thinking and habits, but has a great friend who is the alluring dryad, Alesia. Though she may be justifiably timid around him, Alesia starts to have a healing affect on him. She also learns what her life is like in the radius of a brutal (when necessary), yet compassionate and disciplined fada male in his prime. The adventures are interesting and unique, and Rivard takes great care to develop characters who stay true to their natures throughout the story. This series is well worth the time to read, and will have you mulling over the details after you have finished.
I can't wait for book 4!

Tiago’s story, this was my favourite of the trilogy.

Tiago was in a bad place, he felt untrusted and disappointment towards him every time he turned. Yes Ok he had given the base location to the enemy, but he meant well, he thought he was saving his Love- the Sun Fae. He was still infatuated with her, even though she had chosen his Brother, Dion as her mate.

His brother was also the Alpha, so he had disobeyed his leader and managed to upset his family all in one. He tried not to care, but it tore him up. The only one who understands him is his best pal Alesia the Dryad he’d become friends with on the islands.

As Tiago tries to control his temper he discovers a new Gift... or is it a curse. Darkness is taking over him and he struggles to keep it at bay.

His light of course is Alesia (he just hasn’t worked it out yet)

I RECEIVED THIS ARC IN EXCHANGE FOR AN HONEST REVIEW & I’m so pleased I did as I’ve discovered another great author & a brilliant new shifter world.

The third installment of this series and Rivard is still going strong! Alesia & Tiago's story jumps ahead five years in the lives of the Rock Fada clan. Alesia is a Dryad living on one of the surrounding islands that Tiago had befriended in Valeria and Riu's story. In this installment you have bad guys, new love interests (yay future books!) deceit from inner clan and some allies being made along with battling true inner demons. This is another must read as Rivard doesn't miss a beat spinning another shifter/fae tale BUT best of all you can read all these books as stand alones!! So far so good as I have given all books thus far FIVE stars. I can't put them down from the time I pick them up until I've read the last page.

This is the third novel in Rebecca's "Fada Shapeshifter's" series. Tiago and Alesia's story.
Tiago very quickly has become one of my favourite characters in Rebecca's Fada novels, so you can imagine my excitement when I learned he would be getting his own story. Well, Tempting the Dryad certainly didn't disappoint. Tiago and Alesia's love story is filled with plenty of eroticism, drama, adventure and all the varied feels. At the same time it advances on previous characters and introduces new characters and story-lines for future books. Rebecca has this knack for creating interesting environments and strong characters. So many book boyfriends to choose from. Adric is my new favourite now Tiago has found his mate. Can't wait to see what Rebecca has in store for him and Rosanna.

I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Rebecca Rivard. This is book 3 of the Fada ShapeShifter series by the author.

Tiago knows if he stays with his older brother things would be a disaster because of his lust for the wife. When he goes to see Alesia they think they might be mates but danger threatens the
Rock Run clan and puts Tiago in a difficult situation and could cost him more then he bargained for. Alesia feels for the troubling Tiago but can their passion wipe out the memory of his brothers wife from his mind and his heart.

Ultimate Rollercoaster Ride

With every single story in this series it just keeps getting better and better. All the way through this story I went from biting my nails to yelling at the characters not to do what they were thinking. This it was to the author about letting them do that. I was laughing and crying.

I just love how all the characters seem to grow with each new story. Everything seems to get better and better. I just can't say enough about this series other than if you don't read it you are truly missing out.

Please hurry up and get involved in these stories so you can join me along the journey.

Tempting the Dryad follows five years after the end of Claiming Valeria, with Tiago and Alesia’s story. With a simmering attraction, but only friends Tiago and Alesia are forced to face what they really are…

Younger brother to Lord Dion, Tiago has his issues, betraying his brother/alpha, has left him less than trustworthy. Determined to show his worth, Tiago gets caught up in a plot to bring Lord Dion and Lord Aldric head to head. Sniffing out the traitors, isn’t as easy as one would think, especially when the Fae are involved.

Tired of waiting for Tiago to get over Cleia, Alesia is determined to have Tiago anyway he will let her. Only now, because of Tiago’s involvement, Alesia becomes the focus of the traitors.

Overall, I am not sure how I feel about Tiago’s story as I had a hard time liking his character. Nevertheless, Rivard creates a seamless transition between the stories and leaving tidbits for possible storylines…I am looking forward to Lord Aldric and Rosana’s story.

3.5/5 stars Tempting the Dryad was provided by the author for an honest review.

Paranormal romance
