When Julius Earl gives Jo a phone, and tells her that she must answer it if it rings, and come to him when he orders, she carries it everywhere, even in bed with her husband. She knows it’s wrong, she knows she shouldn’t, but she can’t stop.
Julius Earl owns her.
And when he calls, she leaves her husband and runs to him, committing any depraved act she’s told to do on the way. Jo believes it’s worth any humiliation just to be near Julius Earl.
But something has happened to Jo. Her first encounter with Julius Earl has awoken a burning passion in her that seems unquenchable, and Jo has no idea where it might take her.
