This is the sixth volume in S.L. Shelton's unfolding story of corporate corruption in the world's governments and the adventures of a young Scott Wolfe, who is unknowingly swept into a secret war of massive proportions. Coming out of battle, but feeling confident, Scott Wolfe is prepared to operate outside of Langley oversight. Someone has been breaching security, passing secrets that could get everyone killed and Scott is not taking any more chances. A windfall of information is disappearing at an incredible pace and Scott only has a short window of opportunity to follow the trail before it goes cold. He's closer to Combine than he's ever been but a new predator has entered the game, something he's never faced before—something bred for killing. Running silent, with his incredible skills and with no Agency rules, might not be enough this time. Hanging in the balance are the lives of his friends and coworkers at TravTech and his dream girl, Kathrin. With all he's learned, and as far as he's grown, Scott is pushed to his absolute limit in an attempt to end the secret war. It's not clear if his best is enough to keep him and those he loves alive.

He lives on a tiny little farm on the banks of a tiny little river in the northwestern part of Virginia, where his semi-secret identity is somewhat protected on three sides. Despite deep misgivings about writing on subjects close to his own life, he has penned a series of books about a similarly broken, similarly gifted young man who similarly doesn't have a clue when to stop and re-evaluate life decisions.
Before building his career in the computer field for nearly two decades as a developer, designer, trainer, and a CEO, he had the honor of serving in the US Armed Forces in several roles, most involving explosives of some sort. After selling his successful micro empire in 2011, Shelton retired to his study which he hasn't left since. On most days he writes, but when left alone and to his own devices, breaks his troll like existence long enough to sneak into the sunlight and fire a weapon or two, snap a few pictures or pick some vegetables from his wife's prized organic garden beds.
Though his climbing days are behind him due to injuries (several to the head), he was an avid rock climber, having climbed for decades since his teen years. His three children are grown and living very adventurous lives of their own.
Waking Wolfe is the first novel in the Scott Wolfe Series, followed by Unexpected Gaines, Danger Close, Wolfe Trap, Harbinger, Predator's Game and coming in 2017 Splinter Self. He has also published a Crime Novel and a Back Story Novella to the Scott Wolfe Series.

When we first met Scott Wolfe he was just a regular guy out to save his girlfriend from terrorists... wait, what? do regular people do that? No, maybe not - but exactly what makes Scott Wolfe so different? Predator's Game, the sixth book in the series, continues Wolfe's story and with the end of the series drawing near we are getting more and more information, but the answers are still elusive. When the whole world is out to get you, just who can you trust?
Part spy novel, part political intrigue, part techno-thriller this fast paced book will keep you hooked. S.L. Shelton does a wonderful job creating characters you love & those you love to hate. They are back in this book, but are they all what they seem? Something is going on and the suspense is building, I can't wait for the final installment! Write faster S.L. Shelton!!

The Stakes are rising!
I was provided an advanced reader’s copy an exchange for an honest review.
I loved all of S. L. Shelton’s previous works, but he really hit this one out of the orbit! The plot moves amazingly fast, expands the story on various fronts and holds some terribly shocking twists, especially near the end!
You root for Scott and his friends from the very beginning, but the baddys (a new adversary in particular) are just too smart to go down without a hell of a fight.
Shelton again nails the characters, making the reader care for them, or – in case of the antagonists – despise them with a vengeance!
Since this is book 6 out of a 7 part saga, you can probably guess there are casualties and gut wrenching tragedies along the way, but I don’t want to spoil anything.
Suffice to say, that our heroes are in a very dark place at the end and I can’t wait to see how all the shit hits the fan in “Splinter Self” the conclusion of the epic Scott Wolfe Saga!

I just completed the series and am a fan forever now! Every book was more exciting than the last and 6 will blow you away! Exciting, funny and a unique main character

Like any Emmy-winning cable drama, the Scott Wolfe series has cleared the chicanes of the twisted middle of the season and hits 6th gear with an angry roar. All of the training and experience from the previous books leads us to this adventure with a better, badder Scott Wolfe. Past allies are back for this ride, bringing back the romantic tension, the fun banter, and the always tense incursion scenes. With the extra support, Scott will finally address his growing mental rift and wade deeper into the secrets of the enhancement program, even as more ‘assets’ are released into the field. Meanwhile, as the pillars of the conspiracy finally set to shaking, a heart stopping conclusion signals that one hell of an ending waits around the corner in the final chapter.

Once again S.L. Shelton has delivered a true best seller! The plot twists and turns and ramps up the momentum as we live in the moment of the pages. Scott Wolfe is the guy girls want to fall in love with and guys want in their corner when the going gets rough. A book this good should be savored and enjoyed!

This series should never end.
The grip of the many characters just keeps turning the pages, not wanting the story to end. Book 1 all the way thru 6 just make you want more so don't stop now S.L.. You got me hooked, what's next?
