She’d captured his heart – and then disappeared. After a frantic search, Malik realized that his fiancée had not been kidnapped. She’d simply left him! Despite her cruel departure, Malik had tracked her and stood poised to knock on her door. But the sounds from the other side confused and concerned him – was that a baby’s cry? Had his former lover fallen into the arms of another man?
Jina just wanted sleep! If she couldn’t have the man of her dreams, she would settle for a good night’s sleep. But with a teething daughter and a full time job, finding sleep was as elusive as finding love… She had known love, of course, but no – she couldn’t think about Malik. He was better off without her.
USA Today™ best-selling author Elizabeth Lennox writes contemporary romance novels featuring sheiks, business tycoons, royalty, and other sexy rich men. Her male lead characters are smart, driven and determined, but can still be sensitive and vulnerable. Elizabeth’s female lead characters come from a variety of backgrounds. They are strong, intelligent and independent, while still feminine and caring.
Although she wanted to be a romance novelist since the eighth grade, that dream only became a reality for her in 2009 and a full time job in 2012. Along the way, she received a BS in History and held different jobs in the real estate, government consulting, and financial industries. All during that time, though, she was always writing, using her personal experiences, dreams, and travels throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as backdrops for her stories. To date, she has written over eighty books and sold over 5.1 million copies. Her free novellas have been downloaded over 8 million times since 2013.
Elizabeth lives in Virginia with her husband and two children. Their home is just outside of Washington, D.C., and many of her novels are set in this area.
This has got to be one of the worst books that I have ever read. I know that it is harsh but unfortunately this is my honest opinion. This is the first time that I have read anything from this particular author and the experience was terrible, that even considering reading another book by her makes me cringe.
The story is so weak and there are so many errors that one would wonder whether the editor actually read this story or was just too busy filing their nails to even care to read. The writer appeared to lack attention to detail, example: before the characters get intimate, the hero takes the heroine out to dinner - in fact he instants on it and it was described in a few lines that Jina barely tasted anything. From the restaurant to the car and then to the hotel, the writer clearly forgot that she had fed her characters and decided to order dinner again....(Whoops....major error to me as it says that editor and writer both were not paying attention....)
Apart from the errors and timing, the story itself did not make much sense. The characters meet, get intimate, get engaged and then separate. Almost like a classic romance novel but the reason for separation is so sketchy. The heroine to me looks like an idiot, I mean she hears a voice and gets threatening pictures and she does not question anything, she just decides to run. The man is a sheik, he is all powerful (lol...) he has round the clock security and you think someone will get to him that easily..... The reason for Malik being threatened is so daft. I understand threatening Malik's life due to money or politics but threatening his life in order to separate lovers is once again stupid because what exactly is the man gaining from doing that unless he has a thing for Malik.......
I could rant some more but I feel a headache coming on so I'll just leave this as is....It was such a disappointment reading this not even mediocre story when I could have been reading something much more better. I could have stopped reading it earlier but I hate leaving anything halfway (OCD can be annoying sometime...:-(....
I'm ashamed of myself for having read this book. It was so ridiculous that it made me laugh out loud. Nothing to redeem this story, not the writing, not the characters, nor the plot. Especially not the plot.
I Lika The Story Even If Timing of Events Were Off
Started out good and IMO a little too much Jina playing hard to get banter. A whole year it took Malik to go see her? I thought Malik and Jina were to be married the first time they arrived in Sarkrit? The story 's events, timings, weirded me out. What kind of in love man doesn't seek out the woman he loves after viewing airport tape seeing tears in her eyes? Her being ill before she left Malik didn't even give thought to, "Could she be pregnant?"
Jina Thomas should have slapped Sheik Malik Amari del Nader of Sarkit for touching her inappropriately even if she's attracted to him and he is a Sheik. Those are not excuses for letting a guy fondle a woman. Apparently, she's one those women who let lusts rule her.
And her reason for leaving is sooooo shallow. I don't think I'll read another Elizabeth Lennox books after finishing this series. In "The Russian’s Runaway Bride," book 2 of this series, Livia Morgan should have confronted Stefan Kozlov first about the phone call she heard instead of fleeing immediately because of fear. Another superficial logic for running away. Sheesh..
Love Malik, he’s so forceful yet sweet when it comes to his girls. Loved the diaper changes, so funny. Three men trying to figure out how to take care of lika, to funny. Wasn’t thrilled that Jenna left with out telling him why or trying to be secretative to let him know he was in danger. I wanted Malik to go get her as soon as she left but he took awhile to get to her. Such a great book. Love how the guys came to help him.
Malik makes for a real heart throb, wickedly seductive and enticing. And as a powerful man, a serious lure into his seduction, but Jina isn't accepting the lure. Malik is more accustomed to women chasing after him and finds Jina to be an irresistible challenge. But danger and threats lurk when he gets her back home to his own country. An intriguing confusion...
He pursued her relentlessly. She was a linguist and so he made sure she was his. When he finally gets her where he wants her, engaged to him she disappears. What made her run a way? What secrets does she keep? What happens when he finds out that she had a child? Will he forgive or is revenge on the menu?
I have red this several times. HEA duh, but love when he finds his love. That's the best part. New to fatherhood but steps right in and reclaims his women. Lovely story with a glass of wine.
The writer knows how to keep you intrigued and looking for the next showing of spitfire anger and the ease in which it can be calmed, with the right touch.
Sheik Malak is an awesome, smart possessive, hunk who falls in love with the lovely Jina. There is mystery, romance and an adorable baby in this story. Linda
Elizabeth Lennox is one of my one click authors and this book is so funny. This is one of a series from The Boarding School and I have to say you dont have ro read the series to understand what is going on but I would highly suggest at least reading The Boarding School Introduction. It will help you to understand Malik and why he is the way he is. I do highly suggest all the books in this series though.
Elizabeth Lennox has written two very strong and stubborn characters in this book and at times I wondered if either one would ever take the stick out of their rears and get their act together. So much i want to say but can't because i do not want to spoil the book for you. Read this book and all of them and I am so waiting for the last book! I have been waiting for it from the start!
What a disappointment. I've read most of this author's books but this reads as if it was written by a novice.
Apart from the story reading like something Enid Blyton wrote, it looks like it hasn't been read through after completion. Typos were also the way through and facts were muddled, like 3 women in the pool when there were four. At one point the writer had forgotten that she had written in a dinner scene and introduced another on the same night. And don't get me started on the number of times the heroine's cheap shoes were mentioned, serving no purpose other than to add to the word count.
Read this in a hour and I have decided to find a dark mysterious man to nibble on.
It's a really short book and not really anything too it BUT it does have that alpha-make thing to it. I don't know what it is about these dang "I left my love and he found me; oh wait, yes this is your baby, yes we do belong together!" stories that gets me every time.
You know I really like this author and this series in particular but what I cannot stand is the abrupt ending in almost every book! There is NEVER an epilogue it seems like and it's nice to know how things turn out and I find this to be bizarre. It would be a much higher rating if this one thing were different.
I love this book. It's probably my favorite so far in the whole series. I loved that Elizabeth Lennox was even able to weave in a little suspense and mystery - not a lot, because, overall it's a romance book but enough to get me excited. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys easy-to-read HEA love stories.
So far I have enjoyed each book in this series. This one was the most enjoyable. I really like that each book includes all of the group. I can't wait for Scarlett and Grayson's story.
This is an awesome story ( just like the others before in the series), I really loved it. I especially loved the diaper changing parts...hilarious but beautiful. Can't wait to read Grayson and Scarlett's story
I love it. I love it. I love it. Elizabeth Lennox did it again. I can't wait for the next one. I love the twist and the involvement of the wives in this story. Keep up the good work.
Cute love story but a but far fetched for the realists in some of us. Busy trying to save each others lives they find there way safely back to each other with a baby in tow.
