Peter Challenge jumped into bed and gazed around his bedroom. His eyes took in every minute detail of his new but strange wallpaper. There was a burning in his stomach that he hadn't felt before. He sensed something wasn’t quite right but he just couldn’t explain why or how he knew. Questions swamped his brain. Why did the old lady in the shop give him the roll of wallpaper? Why had he felt compelled to accept it? She'd called him by his first name, how did she know who he was? Peter was about to find out the answers...
If you read this book at bedtime be warned – you won’t sleep until you’ve checked every centimetre of your own bedroom wallpaper!
John's been writing since the 1980's and has several children's books published traditionally and independently.
His latest book called, i4Ni is one for the grown-ups and is a science fiction/dystopian/thriller. There are lots of aspects to Artificial Intelligence, both good and not so good, and the problem is, how will we ever know? With science fiction quickly becoming science fact, should we be taking a pause, slowing down a little?
Besides working in all types of professions, he has worked in schools in Special Needs Dept and as a Primary School Governor.
A charming children's story about a boy who travels through a portal in his wallpaper to save a king from his evil twin brother. This is definitely a story young children will enjoy. They will laugh along with Peter when the car his father thinks is a "classic" begins to fall apart. And tremble when the hear about the dragon-newt. The author has vivid descriptions of the creatures that will bring them alive. It will teach children a valuable lesson about bravery and trusting in themselves. Despite the occasional punctuation and grammatical problems, this was a pleasure to read.
