Reindeer shifter Cooper Landry liked his life as sheriff of the small town of Troubled Peaks, Alaska. He was well respected and his family line was impeccable—his Uncle Rudolph even now a shining star (no pun intended) in Santa’s family. He intended to keep it that way by mating another reindeer. When forced to take a prisoner into his home near the holidays, he could never have imagined falling for the beautiful coyote shifter. Sadie Thompson had gypsy in her soul and enjoyed moving around with her best friend, Petunia, a sweet bunny shifter and fellow teacher. When the two landed in Troubled Peaks, they both felt accepted among the town full of various species who had somehow managed to form a peculiar pack-ish unit. Until Petunia was unfairly kept from participating in the town’s annual Christmas pageant because of her size. Sadie, a big girl herself, fought the injustice the only way she could—by vandalizing some of the city property. She never thought it would land her in so much trouble—or in the arms of her true mate.
Calling someone a skinny bitch is still mean Just because the plus size main character is comfortable in her body and the mean girl is slim doesn't make it any more discriminatory to call her a skinny bitch. I understand that big beautiful women are often put down for their size but flipping that doesn't mean that it's not a bitchy thing to say either. And the whole "pure bloodline reindeer" bullshit was so pretentious and made Cooper kind of off-putting. He's the sheriff so he had a stick up his butt anyway but Sadie went too far in the other direction. I appreciated the spirit of what she did to get in trouble, she was defending her best friend, but the action taken was childish and in a way that it was a common occurrence for her rather than a one-off pettiness. In theory they should balance each other out but there was no romantic chemistry, only sexual chemistry. This didn't work for me.

Well thought out storyline with likable characters and a believable “villain”. I thoroughly enjoyed the humor used throughout this tale; it became more real-life and made it relatable for many readers. (Yes, I know there were some editing errors and misses, but I believe that reviews should be about the story and how the author uses the words to tell the tale.) I look forward to reading more by T. S. Baed.
This was a wonderful holiday read full of friendship, laughs, and love. Sadie was the perfecting and protective friend with a great heart. And She was also the perfect mate for Cooper once she stopped fighting his feelings.
Entertaining and christmassy enough to please. Just too many errors slipped through, an abrupt ending, and I never felt Cooper’s change of heart well enough to feel good about it. Like having two strong female leads taking no guff due to their plus size curves.
I loved this story from the start! It’s so fun to read a spicy book with the push and pull headstrong characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes spicy love stories!
A fun light hearted sexy read. Definitely needed during the stress of the holidays. Added bonus of the body positivity going one with the curvy vixens in this story.
I was not expecting Rudolf and Santa Clause that made this book for me. Loved the variety of shifters with there was a second story for the two best friends.

I was looking for a quick winter/christmas read and this definetly filled the criteria. The book had some spelling mistakes and also the plot wasn't really interesting to me.
What does a reindeer, a coyote, a bunny, and a hound have in common? An absolutely funny and wonderful romantic story. Petunia, a bunny, is heartbroken because she is not allowed to enter a beauty contest and she was actually told it was because she did not weigh one hundred and twenty pounds or less. How dare they! Sadie, a coyote and bff, will have none of it. "Real women have curves." So her and her friend did something they should not have. They get chased by the deputy, a hound, and the sheriff, a reindeer. Of course Sadie is in her coyote coat and Petunia is in her bunny fur. They don't get far. As with all shifters, it's a little awkward when they get caught. From this point on there is some house arrest, community service, maybe some romance, and definitely a coyote with attitude. Don't miss this one, you will regret it.!
Quick & cute with a bit dash of sexy. I didn't really feel the "love" connection between Sadie & Cooper til the end, but it was still an entertaining read. And the Chris cameo was cute. :D
