I was looking for art books to borrow on the Libby app and found this. I’ve been fascinated by how popular Bible journaling has become. I got curious and borrowed this ebook version. I quickly peruse the artwork, which I found to be average, nothing spectacular. It did inspire me to do more art journaling, though, in my sketchbook. I still have a hard time making marks on God’s Word, so will never do Bible journaling. I have seen enough of them on social media that made me cringe as the multimedia stuff covers most of the Bible, as if the artwork is more important than Scripture. I get that some find this practice meditative. It’s just not for me. And this Bible is not something I’d purchase myself.
This is a very nice coloring Bible with room to place notes, doodles and for journaling. I liked the larger print, thicker pages, the ruled lines, beautiful artwork and that it is NIV. I do like having a ribbon to keep my place and the beautiful, heavy cloth covered cover will last for a long time and take a lot of use. Very nice and good fit if you are wanting to start journaling... I was gifted a copy and my review is voluntary...
I really like this Bible, and since I didn't finish coloring the pictures last year, I am going to keep working on those this coming year as well! It has great pictures and verses to color.
One thing I have found to be true about myself and motivation is the prettier it is, the more likely I am to get excited about using it. I like nicely scented cleaning products and beautifully designed organization items-anything to make ordinary tasks more lovely. And while reading my bible is certainly no ordinary task, but a privilege-I admit to still being drawn to the prettiest version. I have loved seeing the beautifully curated art journal bibles pop up in my social media feeds but know, without a shadow of a doubt, that will never be what my bible looks like. While I have a great appreciation for all things created lovely, I cannot create said things; it is just not in my gifting. So when I got the chance to explore the Beautiful Word Bible I was pretty giddy with excitement!
First, the great features of this bible- It truly is beautiful! With 500 full-color illustrated verses interlaced through out it's pages and a lovely cover, it is a coffee table treasure. I love the variety of illustration styles and there's something about putting these verses in art form to make them jump out and stick with you. I really do love that I will get the "look" of an art journal bible without the talent to make one. Not to say, I won't be putting my own notes in the margins of these pages! In fact, I will say with the lined spaces for journaling and the illustrations started too, this bible is a a lot less intimidating to just jump into and mark up! The day it came in the mail, I grabbed a pen and having just read an amazing devotional went on a note jotting spree. The devotional reading that got me so excited was Jesus is the Promised One that was part of She Reads Truth advent series. I adore their studies and ministry, partly because they too make the studying beautiful. This reading was chalk full of scripture references and sent you on a scavenger hunt all through out the bible pointing to all the little (and big) hints leading up to Jesus' arrival and who He would be. It was fascinating to me and I wanted to be able to remember and run into all those little sign posts in my future bible reading. This was great way to break in my Beautiful Word bible!
Now, a couple downsides- it is a some what small bible, making it easy to throw in a bag on the go but the print isn't the easiest to read. Additionally, because of it's smaller size and the large quantity of illustrations in the margins , you do tend to run out of journaling space at times. Also, my copy had several almost double printed pages that are very hard to read. The pages are thin making it a bit more compact of a book, but also a little less sturdy for writing in. Personally, I love the ESV bible for intensive study but will be glad to have this version around to journal in and admire. It seems safe to say, you can never have enough bibles! I also saw that they are going to be releasing a NKJV version of the beautiful word.

Easter is going to be here in a few months. Are you looking for a meaningful and beautiful gift? The Beautiful Word Bible is a unique bible with 500 full color illustrated versus. This is more than just a bible. This makes a neat gift for a mom, aunt, sister, or special someone.
The New International Version of the Bible is the most read version and most trusted version in the English language. This version is a result of 60 years of work by a committed that translated it. The translators of this version come from a variety of denominations. This has helped created a version that is relevant.
This New International Version of the Bible has all the great scripture that we expect to be in the bible. I love that it has beautiful and artistic words next to the scripture. This helps explain the bible in more depth. It makes it a neat experience to read.
I have personally wanted a copy of the bible for the house. I have it on my e-reader, but it is always nice to have a paper version when I want to read something with my children. This is a great version to have around just for that.

This is one Bible that every woman should own. The dust jacket is beautiful, the hardcover front cover is beautiful, the warm and muted colors and calming and peaceful. It is just beautiful inside and out. What a wonderful idea to have a Bible that ladies can color, draw, write in, and customize it as their very own. The margins are very wide so you can have plenty of room to make notes and draw pictures as you want. In addition to all this, you will also find these neat features: Hundreds of verses and art throughout the entire Bible to color as your own; Full text of the NIV; Black font that is easy to read; Thicker pages to make your note taking and coloring easier; Lined margins so you can write and draw in a straighter line; Easily lays flat on your desk or in your hand; and it has a beautiful ribbon marker. Now I'm waiting on the amazing men's version of this Bible.

I find this Bible is pretty compact in height and width at 8.25" by 6.6", however, because of the heavier paper used for the illustrations and such, it is a heavier Bible, weighing in at almost 2.5 pounds.
I was a little disappointed when I received this Bible and thumbed through it. I was hoping for a little less color on the artwork, so that I myself could color in more. That disappointment was offset by the fact that there are lines in the wide margins for notetaking, which I absolutely love because I am definitely a note taker. I am happy though that someone else took the time to make the illustrations, because I definitely could not do anywhere near the incredible job that was done. Heck, my stick figures look deformed :).
Overall, this is a beautiful Bible, just know that these illustrations are completely colored already, so if you are looking to individualize the illustrations, it probably won't work.
I picked this bible because I wanted another bible because I normally read from a King James version bible and sometimes I have a hard time understanding so I wanted to have a NIV bible that I can look at the same time to get another understanding. The bible is beautiful and very well detailed I love how it has art and blank journal places where you can take notes.
I also love the 500 illustrated verses that offers a one-of-kind visual treatment of Scripture, encouraging you to understand and experience God’s Word in a fresh way. I really love this bible and am glad I got the opportunity to review it.
This is a beautiful Bible. There are hundreds of lovely illustrations throughout this Bible. If you enjoy Bible journaling this is a great choice for that.
