Successful lawyer Mackenzie Harper is not happy to get the invite to her 20th high school class reunion, since it only brings back bad memories of a time she’s long tried to forget. A time when she was teased by her peers because of her weight issues, and plagued by a hurtful nickname and hateful rumors—until the day she’s called upon to tutor the one guy who means everything to her, David Ashbury. David Ashbury has it all in high school...the popular linebacker catches the eye of every girl he comes across and is the buddy of every guy in his school. One day he discovers that the only way to stay on the team is to pass History class, and that will require that he be tutored by the shy girl everyone calls ‘Mack Attack’. He doesn’t believe the rumors about her but it takes an effort for him to break through her shell, improve her high school experience, and develop a warm friendship that both treasure. It’s been twenty years, but can Mackenzie and David recapture what they once had? First they have to attend the reunion...
Jamallah Bergman first started to write small stories when she was around 13. It wasn't until she was around 15 when she started to write about romance after she read her first romantic novel. It wasn't until she got older when she started to write erotica as well.
Jamallah writes about heroines who are full figured women since the fact that whenever she would read some of the stories she liked so much, she always wondered why there weren't many women like herself as the main character. So she started to write about heroines such as herself, full figured women who only wanted to be loved and show their love to the right man.
In Ms. Bergman's spare time when she isn't writing, she enjoys cooking and collecting cookbooks as well as Cobalt Blue Glass items.
She resides in Atlanta Georgia with her teenage daughter who is very artistic as well and loves draw and make little movies as well.
This was a really sweet story. It loses a star, really I just wanted to give it one star because of the lack of protection and defense during the flashback scene. I mean really!? What was he doing? All of them should have been laid the f out. I'm too angry with injustice.
The story was about a young lady who was curvy and smart. When the high school jock needed tutoring to pass his history class. He was paired with the ace student. She was the one the students bullied. The jock and the nerd became a couple, but went in separate ways during college. They were reunited at their 10 year reunion. HEA was just a foregone conclusion.
I love love. Really cute story about high school sweethearts that find their way back to one another. It was messed up the foolishness Mackenzie endured while in high school, but hey she turned out a okay and she got the guy. Really cute. I like when a book leaves me smiling.
