Ugh, this one was the worst out of the series. It was like Ms. Snow ran out of ideas for the men in the MC.
Rook has a dark past, it's never explained why it's sooo dark, but he's just so tainted. He doesn't feel he deserves Bobby because his past is oh so dark so he pushes her away. Bobby is a sweet butt who has been sleeping with just Rook for months. She loves, loves, loves him but he only sees her as a sweet butt. For the first four chapters this gets repeated over and over and over. I get it. Geez.
They finally get together but his past catches up to him. Dun dun dun... Hang on to your panties everyone! Brace yourself. In his man whoring days he had sex with a crazy chick with a husband. He comes back for revenge 20 years later to hurt Rook. What! I mean really? No other plots popped into your head. A jealous husband. (Rolls eyes).
And that is all folks. After crazy husband, Rook and Bobby sail into the sunset together.
The next book does seem interesting. So I'm sticking with her series :)

Rook, sexy, mean, cold, violent, dangerous biker, who was so messed up, then he gave up on the one bright spot in his life.... Bobbie. She changed him, he opened up his heart and realized that he loved her, he almost didn't get the chance, but they love each, soulmates, two people who accept each other as they are

I absolutely positively love this series!! At first, I had a love/hate relationship with Rook. A few times I wanted to jump through the book and slap the ever loving hell out of him and then jump his 'bone'. I loved Bobbie!! I have seen some reviews not liking the fact that the she was a 'club whore'. She isn't your typical sweet butt. She doesn't sleep with all the guys, she has slept with only Rook for quite some time now. She loves Rook, has for a long time, if she could only get him to see that. I loved Rook and Bobbie's story! Can't wait for the next one!!

I don't normally do books with club girls as the heroine, but it's Jenika and I'll try anything with her because I love her books! That being said, I loved this one!

4.5 stars!!! Rook is such an asshole and I want to break his stubborn head but then things happen and you start to see another side of him!!! Bobbi is such a honey and you can't help but love her even though she'd been dealt a shitty hand!! Bobbi looks after everyone she's a part of the MC.....

Rook's Control - Book 7 - The Brothers Of Menace MC - Jenika Snow
This is book seven of the Brothers Of Menace MC series and it was really enjoyable and smoking hot but just to say that some parts may not be for everyone as some scenes were intense and the heroine is a submissive/masochist so some descriptios of the pain she enjoys may not be enjoyable for everyone to read. That all being said, this story is about Rook. A hardened, alpha, dominant biker who needs control in all things, likes his instructions to be followed and his sub to listen to him intently. Bobbie whom we previously met in Tuck's Wrath book of the series has been hanging around the club to enjoy herself. At twenty four she is searching for some fun and enjoys the club lifestyle. Personally I loved Bobbie but would say that she was more a girl enjoying herself and partying than labelling her a sweet butt 24 former sweet butt she didn't go with everyone in the club as they would, however just my opinion. Anyway Bobbie is in love with Rook, adores his dominance and rough biker attitude, he knows how deliver pleasure that brings the submissive and masochistic side of her to life and to its peak. That being said all along Rook has made it clear he does not do relationships so Bobbie struggles to not let her feelings be known. When Rook pushes Bobbie away both of them are hurt more than words can express because they know that they need what only the other can give them. Their push and pull was equally beautiful and frustrating lol. Rook needed a wake up call and I am glad he came to his senses. They work it out and make a go of things because how could they not, they are destined soulmates and that is when the pain comes, heartbreak out of either of their hands trying to rip their newly found happiness to shreds. Such an emotional push and pull between Rook and Bobbie. The story is filled with spicy heat, Rook will have you swooning for sure with how he loves his woman just like all of these bad boy Biker's. Lots of action and heat with a splash of emotion, what more could you ask for. I loved this story as I have all the others, which probably explains why I have read this series more than once and hope that you will too.There were some spelling mistakes but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story. Happy Reading.

Let me start off with I have read this entire series (feel like I wasted a lot of time and my money, $30.00 in total) and although the editing has been awful and makes the read difficult I do enjoy the characters. That being said I have a very very big problem with an author copying and pasting the same scene throughout the book. This has been done throughout the entire series but really was ridiculous in the book. 3% in "She looked over her shoulder, her heart stopping, her throat closing. He stood there, his pants unbuttoned but zipped, showing that V of muscle, that line of dark hair starting beneath his navel and disappearing beneath the jeans. His t-shirt hung free from the waistband of his jeans, and his leather cut showed the danger, the power, and the masculinity that poured from him."

Really your that uninspired you are using the exact same wording for two scenes. This along with the countless grammar and spelling issue brought this series down to 1 stars. I cannot believe this book is selling for $4.99 based on what I read they should be paying us to read it. Lazy writers shouldn't be rewarded. The only good thing about the series is there was good character development. Would not recommend or waste you money!

I have been waiting..somewhat impatiently...for Rook's story. Since he was first introduced I have been intrigued by his character. Let me tell you...I was not disappointed!
Rook know that hes a f*ck up. Hes an all around bed person so has done some deplorable things and is not unknown to take what he wants and leave the dregs behind...no matter the repercussions. This is why he thinks he can't have what he wants for keeps.
Bobbie is a club girl. A sweet-butt. MC property to be passed around like an offering plate. Although shes not the typical club whore. Sure shes slept w/ a small handful of members, but once shes in Rooks hands and realizes her feelings for him go beyond the D/s relationship, she refuses any other mans attentions. The club, seems to respect that. They see her as more than just a sweet-butt. Her mettle has been tested before and shes always come through for the Brothers.
Rook fights his feelings for Bobbie. He too has stayed faithful to they're D/s 'non' relationship. He makes mistake after mistake and every time one of them attempt to tell the other the truth of they're feelings...something gets in the way. Either another woman (don't worry people...Jenika stays true to her characters) or Rook's big mouth.
When they come together will it be the beginning of the end when Rooks sordid past comes back for revenge? Can he keep Bobbie for good or will he lose her to his mistakes?

Rook is one yummy Dom. I'd Sir him anytime he wants. Bobbie use to be a sweet-butt until Rook took control and told her only him. Of course he's a tough alpha biker and won't put a label on their relationship. Eventually Bobbie gets tired of this song and dance. Can Rook give up his control and admit he wants Bobbie for his old-lady or will he destroy any chance at it? Rook's past comes calling and this maybe the wake up call he needs but is it too late? Rook is one of The Brothers of Menace MC harder bikers and doesn't show or deal with feelings. He's a Dom 24/7. But man is he super hot in the bedroom. I'd let him tell me what to do. Bobbie is one lucky girl. Jenika Snow did a great job with this story because Bobbie and Rook are such different characters than the others in this series. They are unique and there's lots of hot bedroom action and plenty of excitement to keep the reader entertained.

I went into this book afraid. Afraid that Rook wouldn't be able to redeem himself. But he did. Thank god for Jenika's amazing writing skills because I saw no light at the end of the tunnel when it came to Rook. Now lets get into those amazing sex scenes! Wow! Jenika has written some good scenes in the past but these blew me away! Bobbie is one tough chick. I think right now she holds the #1 spot. When Rook shows up at her door and is a total douche had me so mad at him. But she held strong and was able to resist him. When Rook and Bobbie finally get together I cried. Yup, cried, that's what Jenika and her amazing writing do to me. Rook blew me away when I read that he teared up. That man had no feelings until Bobbie came along. I wont spoil it for anyone else with my details. This is a MUST read! Can't wait for Tank.

I have to rate this a 3 because I liked the story, but there are so many points against it that it needed to be downgraded.
Editing and repetition takes a lot of points away. It was Cheesy, for lack of a better word, in several scenes.
So a club whore and a man whore walk into a bar......yeah it really isn't my big turn on, but somehow Jenika was making it work, even if I felt dirty reading it sometimes.
I like that Rook finally realizes how important Bobbie is to him. I'm glad she isn't being perceived as trash for the rest of her life. Their HEA is good for them, but was just kind of cheesy for me.

Drugs, drinking, and danger make up just another day in the life of Rook and his MC brothers. In my opinion, adding in the BDSM element sends this story into some seriously treacherous territory. I also feel that the violence these men surround themselves with overshadows any real connection to a true BDSM lifestyle. Passion burns hot and deep, but at what cost?

I have read all of Jenika's MC books and I have loved them all. After reading the blurbs of this one I was determined not to like it. Not much into the D/s theme and what I had read of Rook in the previous book; I didn't really care for his character.
But being the faithful reader I am , I was determined to read this one ... like it or not!!
I am really glad I did ... I absolutely loved Rook!!! I think this maybe my favorite! !

Definitely heavy on the erotica. I skipped a lot of that. I did like the h Bobbie. She was strong, knew what she wanted,didn't play any games. She even told Rook she loved him-a huge risk, but ballsy. Rook is rough around the edges but genuinely cares for Bobbie. It just takes him a little longer to man up. The epilogue was awesome- I'm ready for Wrath and Lila or Tank and Bunny's story .

Redeeming.

Out of all the books that I have read so far from this series this one I would have to say is my favorite. If you like your bikers hot, sexy, loyal, but can be mean, cold, dangerous and a sadist Dom to boot then you are in for a wild ride. Now throw in Bobbie and you have a perfect mix between her and Rook. I was so pulling for them to make it work and have their happy ever after.
