This book had me laughing so hard that i felt tired of laughing. The heading says '
Sweet Rosie O'Grady' but the books mostly about Nellie and Molly than Rosie.
The story is set during the Hitlers war in a place called Liverpool.
Usually we expect a book set in this period to be kind of grim and serious but let me tell you it was a complete opposite.
The main two families are The Donoughs and the Bennets. It revolves around their familes and how they adapt to the changing situations. 15 year old Rosie her real name is Rosemary enters a bit later. She has been sent from Ireland to live with Molly Bennet's mother and father because her family was in hard times and she wanted to earn for them. She is a very big welcome addition to the Bennets and Donoughs at this tough time with the war and all as she is completely different from her speech to the things she says to how she acts.
This books was a mixture of largely funny parts and a few serious parts.
All in all I loved it enough to give it 5 stars.

This book made me laughing so hard that I felt tired of laughing. Usually we expect a book set in this era to be kind of grim and serious, but it was completely opposite of what my view point. When took this book to read at times it got me so involved with the stories and families that I can’t put down the book and I have to admit I have become huge fan of author Joan Jonker and will definitely going to read lot more from this author.

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read Joan Jonkers books. They still have it all. Laughter, tears, love, camaraderie you name it. The warmth practically flows from her books. You get drawn in. If you need a pick me up, read one of Molly and Nellies stories. You couldn’t be disappointed

I am a huge fan o Joan Jonker and her Liverpool sagas. These books move along at a leisurely pace, which I generally enjoy and find realistic, but this installment moved a bit too slowly for me. The characters remain likeable and believable and the setting is so strong, so I can overlook the pacing. I highly recommend this series to individuals who enjoy character-driven historical novels.

I have read all the Molly and Nellie books two years ago. Great stories and I do feel part of Molly's family. Reading again and still love the books great stories. wish Joan was still here so I could e mail and tell her how much I love these two. Its a pity no one can carry on the books and I am sure Joan would approve.
