Shattered: A Broken Reflection of Love

Love is blind, right? Well, it's especially blind when you've got two black eyes and they're swollen shut. Raine knows this all too well. Sometimes, the beatings are so bad that she welcomes death. She longs for it. She just doesn't have the guts to do it herself. She thinks she deserves it. Rather the loving sound of a husband's beating heart as he lays next to her in bed, her home is filled with the sound of the flesh of his fists making contact with her bones.
However, Raine doesn't realize that not ALL men aren't abusive women-haters. Her blackened eyes have kept her from seeing real love--right under her bleeding and broken nose. The man that truly deserved her heart and would treat her like the beautiful soul she is--Liam.
Liam has been in love with her since he first laid his eyes on her. He knows better than to try to force an abused woman to leave their spouse before they're truly ready, but he knows he is running out of time as the beatings are getting worse and worse. Still, he remains steadfast in doing what he can to save her, though he feels it isn't enough.
Will Liam get to her before her soul and body are truly broken forever? Will he be able to save her, or are his efforts in vain? Only time will tell...

Beware: Shattered: A Broken Reflection of Love (Twisted Fate Series Book 1) by Haven Anne Lennox is a calculating story of; Drugs, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence rolled up in one dark book. If any of these topics are triggers or you're sensitive to, be warned Shattered: A Broken Reflection of Love (Twisted Fate Series Book 1) by Haven Anne Lennox is not for you.
This is a very dark, disturbing and intense book. Rain was abused and raped for years by her insane husband, and I mean insane with a capital "I!" This guy was a complete sadistic bastard to Rain (poor lady - my heart ache for her) There was one scene with him and his (2) friends and (Omg, I wanted to climb into my kindle and take a sledgehammer to his nuts) The way the author writes, it draws you in. Like you are feeling and going through what Rainy is. Prepare your self for an emotional roller coaster... But it does end on a major cliffhanger!

March 4, 2016what an GREAT book this was. it touched on subjects like addiction. and for some people that type of book is hard foe people to read. now with me being in recovery off of drugs i can relate to it. and (thank god) it is not a trigger for me. now if it was i couldn't read it!! but i just LOVE Haven put this story together! ! way to go Haven! ! i am looing forward to readind more of your books...

5 HEARTBREAKING STARS!!!
So i finished this book a little over an hour ago.. And I am still no closer to finding words to say but I am hoping that once I start writing it will just spill out. So I apologize right now if it sounds kind of repetitive.
My heart is officially broken!! No joke the end of this book broke my heart and had me in tears!! I DO NOT recommend this book to any of you who have triggers for abuse of any kind. I myself do not but there were parts of this book that had me cringing at what was being done.
Rain is stuck in a marriage and the few times she has tried to get out Tyler always finds a way to keep her there. the first part of this book had me literally pissed at Rain. I have not gone through this myself so I have no idea how hard it is for a person to get out of a relationship like this. But all Rain ever did was have excuse after excuse on why she couldnt leave. she has her children, her brother Storm, as well as the man she really loves and has loved for a long time (not her husband) Liam who keep begging her to leave. I seriously wanted to throw my kindle at all the times she kept telling them that Tyler was not the one who put her in the hospital.
Liam - That man would do anything for Rain. He has loved her since the first day he met her. He's always been a friend to her and has helped pretty much raise her children since their own father tries to claim they are not his.
Can Liam, Storm and the kids talk Rain out of going back to her husband? Can they really protect her? Will Rain finally make the decision to leave and let these 5 guys help her and keep her safe? Or will the threat that Tyler has made against her and the kids have her scared and running back to him to keep the children safe?
This book will have your heart breaking and melting (thanks to Liam), wanting to throw your kindle but it will also have you turning page after page wondering is she going to get out, what is going to happen to her next, how bad will it be next time.
For Haven's debut novel this was Phenomenal. This is not your everyday love story. Yes it tells the story of 2 characters love for one another but its about the pain and suffering domestic violence victims go through. Its also about a mothers unconditional love for her children and what extents she would go through to keep them safe and out of reach of an abusive jerk. I CANNOT wait to read more books by Haven as well as reading book 2 of this series.

Wow! Where do I start. Well lets get the formalities out of the way. I was gifted a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review. This book deals with some very dark things that you won't find in most books. To say I was scared to start this last night is the understatement of the year, but start it I did. Oh how glad am I that I did. This book is PHENOMENAL. It may seem like a book about violence and hate and all those bad things that sum up an abusive relationship, but it is not. It's about finding your inner peace. It's about finding who you are. It's about finding and knowing you deserve love. It's about a mother's unconditional and unrelenting will. If it takes you hitting rock bottom to find that, then so be it. I cannot wait until book 2 comes out!

Shattered ripped my heart out. I felt her pain, horror, and disgust. The author weaved the emotional torrent on every page and through every word. Rain is the character I grew the strongest bond with. I can't even put into words what she suffered. The author spared no detail. There is severe abuse and rape that had me nauseous and begging for Rain to get her HEA. This is not an easy, pretty read. It will destroy you. It does not contain a HEA. I did have trouble with the formatting. It was a bit distracting and threw off the flow, but wasn't undecipherable. I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It is an emotionally devastating read that displays the ugly truth about what some women face every day.

It hit close to home
They reason I give this book 4 stars is however I feel as it was very therapeutic for me as my ex husband almost killed me with a tire tool to the back of my skull, but I am not trying to be a grammar nazi but you are missing some words here or there also spelling here or there. Proofread and have someone else to help you because this is an excellent read. I am sorry she lost her life. Thank you for writing this book as I feel it make safe someone life. Thank god I had enough strength to get through my problem and I found faith, strength and unconditional love from them and after all they were my reason to live as I was crushed completely.

February 29, 2016this book will take you dark places you never want to be in a relationship , no messing about we are straight in to rainy being beaten almost to death by her husband . she is saved by her brother but still won't leave her husband tyler even after he attacks her in hospital . her kids , brother & best friend beg her to leave but she has her reasons for staying & to her its a good one .this story makes you feel so many emotions from anger to sympathy but once you start the book i can promise you will find it very hard to put down. can't wait for more

Wow, this story was so unexpected. My heart ached for Rain. She wanted to protect her kids, but she put herself in danger for it. I didn`t expect the ending at all. It broke my heart, I was really looking forward to her HEA with Liam.

Great read if...you enjoy dark reads, struggles, twists and an ending you probably didn't see coming. Side note: This was an easy flow, intense, and dark read. I enjoyed the style, the characters, and found myself unable to stop turning pages. Very amazing job and look frwd to book 2.
