Bunny and the Beast

Rate this book
[Siren Everlasting Classic: Erotic Consensual BDSM Romance, BDSM, sex toys, HEA]

Hard-working, strong, and sassy, Bunny Carrigan desires a simple life, far away from the complications of the big city, posh houses, and materialism. She makes her own rules and has no time for pushy men in fancy suits or playing games.

Joseph Hazelle enjoys taking control and has very set ideas about what the ideal submissive looks and acts like. In fact, his ideas are so set they might as well be concrete. Vibrant and full of life, Bunny challenges Joseph's preconceived notions and she's determined that if she submits at all, it's going to be on her own terms.

Accustomed to being the instructor, Joseph discovers that Bunny has claimed his lonely heart and has a thing or two to teach him. All he has to do is educate her about his world and convince her that she does indeed "do" submission. What could go wrong?

Heather Rainier lives and writes in South Central Texas. Her stories offer up the content of her fantasies, with humor, tragedy, and triumph mixed in.

Heather's love of romance fiction began as a teenager when her mom gave her copies of Kathleen Woodiwiss's "The Flame and the Flower" and Bertrice Small's "Skye O'Malley". To this day she's pretty sure that was her mom's version of the "birds and the bees" talk.

Heather writes the type of novel she loves to read: More erotic and edgy than the mainstream, with plenty of sweet romance mixed in and a happily ever after guaranteed. Heather's favorite type of hero is the gentle, lovable giant but readers will discover a wide variety of heroes and alphas on the pages of her novels.

When not at her keyboard, Heather is usually busy corralling her teenagers, or loving on her smokin' hot husband, who thankfully loves to cook.

Heather invites readers to e-mail her at heather.rainier@yahoo.com and also to visit her website at www.heatherrainier.com

I have read all the books in the Divine Series, and I have to tell you, this was THE BEST!! I laughed, I cried, it was amazing. Bunny was sweet, hilarious, and strong. Joseph was absolutely one of the best Doms ever! The interaction between them was sizzling hot and truly heart warming. This is a 5 star book in every way!! Ms. Rainier just keeps getting better and better! So looking forward to the next book from this wonderful town!!

I really loved this book. Bunny is a contractor working in Joseph's club and stumbles upon what goes on in the club. Joseph likes his subs to be proper and not give him any grief. Bunny is exactly what he doesn't want, until he meets Bunny. She is a brat. This story had humor, of course sexy times and I loved watching Bunny become Joseph's submissive.

Joseph Hazelle is a Dom and has his own BDSM club that he runs from the privacy of his home in the Texas Hill Country. Bunny is the IT Tech that the company sends to work on his extensive IT needs. She's good at her job, takes no crap, and Joseph is infatuated with her.

Not that he would ever admit to it. He senses that there is more to Bunny than she lets on, and that there is a submissive inside her that yearns to be taken care of. Oh, he knows that she is not the typical submissive in that she will take orders for the sake of taking them or even playing the part among his friends.

Bunny has had a rough life. Her mother dying when she was young, her father's quick remarriage to someone who could not care less about his children and a brother with a traumatic brain injury and a series of other events that led her to live with her grandmother and take custody of her brother.

Bunny likes Joseph but she doesn't understand the dominant/submissive aspect of his life. When she agrees to give it a try, she's astounded to find out that there are some aspects she does like. However, what she likes most is the fact that Joseph respects her, her decisions and her nickname for him - even if he doesn't admit it.

I enjoyed this book. I was able to get to know the characters as they got to know each other. Once again, Ms. Rainier has given us a peek into the wonderful world of Divine.

In the last book you could see this pairing coming. I wasn't too sure about it, didn't think they were a good match. Even as this one started I still wasn't too sure. Bunny seemed a bit timid when exploring BDSM, yet as things unfolded she seemed to buck the main tenets, but it worked for her and Joseph. He needed her sense of fun, she needed his steady hand. The best part of this book was how the other Dom's reacted to Bunny and the effect she had on Joseph. She was a breath of fresh air to them all!

Bunny and the Beast by Heather Rainier
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
EEEP! SO when I met Joseph and Bunny in the last book I couldn’t wait to see them get together in this book. Bunny is a SPITFIRE!! I mean OMG SOO FUNNY!! Joseph is a very well respected Dom…err…Sadist Dom who is all outta whack over this fiery IT woman. After a misunderstanding happens with Bunny and a club member, Joseph and her share an explosive kiss that sets the stage for this book.
Bunny is interested in Joseph but she is not a doormat and will not be bossed around or controlled by anyone. PERIOD! Joseph gets Bunny to agree to read and research on his lifestyle. The couple have some open commutation along with some sizzling chemistry. Joseph is trying to take it slowly because he can TELL that Bunny is the one his heart has been waiting for. She is everything he never ever wanted but can’t imagine ever not having in a sub. Bunny fights the name “submissive” never realizing that she was a submissive. The couple navigate the “learning phase” and right when Bunny feels secure in being with Joseph, we have a couple of “perfect for him” subs vying for his attention and affections.
I love how caring and gentle Joseph is with Bunny but still expecting her to accept his role as her Dom. I loved seeing her grow through the novel and how appreciative he is to her opening up. The couple handle a few challenges but the HEA is so sweet and well deserved. I am looking forward to Sampson’s book as I am guessing it will be next. He was a fun character to read and his heart needs some love too but just don’t braid his hair people!!!

Bunny Carrigan had her eyes opened to the happenings at Joseph Hazelle's mansion when she was called out for a service call during a fantasy BDSM wknd retreat. Knowing what she knows now she should avoid Master Joseph but just can't. He tells her she's a submissive but personally Bunny knows she isn't. Or is she.

Challenged to explore a BDSM relationship Bunny soon finds out what caliber of person she really is and what it means to be claimed by 'Beastly'

* * * *

Joseph Hazelle has made cameo appearances in previous installments so I guess it was time to give the man his own story. Appreciated the set up of brat vs conservative and traditional Dom. Made for humorous scenes the usually ended with Bunny over Joseph's knee. Gotta love the sexual tension and chemistry when the main characters fight the inevitable. lol.

The story line itself was meaningful and yes tissues may be required for certain portions. My thought though is that there was too much going on so no real depth. I did feel the author showcased meaningful current events and topics that I haven't seen many authors do in a likewise fashion. Vague non spoiler comment. As the great W.C. Fields said: Never work with children or animals. Yes, he stole my heart.

As for the BDSM content. Sugarkink quality scenes that are appropriate as Bunny had lived a vanilla life only just entering the BDSM lifestyle. That she took to it like a fish to water is an understatement. The adult content though did not factor in to any significant degree.......

Another enjoyable installment in the series that gave me that comfort food satisfaction. The next installment is a sadist Dom, Samson, so I do have to admit I'm looking forward to grabbing it.

Marie's Tempting Reads Review:

To say I loved Bunny And The Beast would be putting it mildly. More like this book ROCKED THE EVER LOVING HELL OUT OF ME! Bunny was outrageously fun, sweet, sassy, and just such a spirited woman and a surprisingly delightful submissive. Joseph was patient, sexy, caring, and enjoyed his spunky sub. Watching the sparks fly between these two was a whole lot of fun to behold as they each discovered things about themselves that were pretty freaking amazing, if you ask me.

The fact that we get a more playful book about BDSM was something I really enjoyed. Even though I LOVE me some BDSM, some books are so strict in the lifestyle that it sometimes can be a bit intimidating, so I was thoroughly pleased to see that Heather Rainier wrote a romance with BDSM that isn't intimidating, but fun and enjoyable and just plain irresistible. Miss Rainier's writing is pure amazing and the story beautifully written with charming characters and a place that is intriguing and scrumptious. Bunny And The Beast is the perfect blend of erotic and sexy with just the right amount of kink to make things sizzle. I adore these Divine Creek stories and devour them way too fast in my opinion, but its just too dang hard to resist!

I didn't even have to hesitate at giving this romance a SENSUALLY CHARGED FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its sexy as all get out and pure fun. A MUST HAVE READ FOR SURE!

Bunny has many misconceptions when it comes to the world of dominance and submission. She knows Joseph is deeply involved in that world so steers clear in spite of her attraction. But she is fighting a battle not so much against Joseph but against herself. Will she dip her toes in the water and satisfy her curiosity?
Bunny and the Beast by Heather Rainier is the twenty-second installment of the Divine Creek series. I adore this series by Ms. Rainier and I was not disappointed with this addition. Bunny is living with her grandmother, raising her brother, and working in a male dominated field. She doesn’t think she has a submissive bone in her body until she meets Joseph. Joseph makes her feel things. Things that make her uncomfortable. I love seeing Joseph slowly tempt Bunny even as she tempts him. I adored seeing this sweet side to Joseph front and center. We have seen Joseph in previous books but Ms. Rainier peeled back the layers of this man and I loved the character she unveiled. Bunny’s own curiosity was her undoing and Joseph was ready, willing and able to satisfy not only her curiosity but also her body.
I thoroughly enjoyed this addition to this series by Ms. Rainier and I am looking forward to finding out who is next to find their happily ever after in one of my favorite fictional towns.

I have all of the Divine Creek Series and the books just keep getting better and better. I have loved Joseph Hazell since she first introduced him at the beginning the series. He didn't spend much time on the pages, but he made an impression, he was so mysterious. Bunny is the perfect woman for "straight-laced I am Dom hear me roar" Joseph Hazell. She is the complete opposite of him. She kept me in stitches. I wish she was real, because I would go find that girl and get into trouble with her. I love how he had the idea of his perfect sub and Bunny is not perfect to say the least. She is the opposite of what he thought he wanted. She is so sassy and brat-tastically sweet. Her lack of filter and determined nature draw you in. You literally fall in love with her and with Joseph. He is such as strong dominant man, but so very caring and sweet. I will read this one again and again, just like all the others.

Got to love this series! <3 Though I do think this is one of the shorter novel in the series. I was kind of expecting it to be much longer. Either that or I was enjoying it too much and it just ended too quickly for my tastes.

I absolutely adored Joseph and Bunny! I love Bunny's sass and brat and how she keeps Joseph on his toes. I love that she makes him laugh. And that she braided a sadist's hair to make him laugh. She's utterly hilarious and definitely someone I'd love to have as a friend. I'm glad that Joseph finally found someone to spice up his life! Though he is a sadist, we don't really get to see much of that side of him which makes me question if he is one or not. But I do love how he tortures Bunny so sinfully.

Definitely a love for me! I do hope Master Samson's story is next!

I think this book will go down as one of my top favorites. I love when an author injects as much humor as hot love scenes. BDSM is usually such a serious, dark and ominous subject but Heather Rainier has injected so much humor into this book you can't help but think maybe it's not so bad after all...not that I'm interested in having my hieny et on fire with a flogger...NO thanks just the same lol. This book was so much fun to read and as always leaving me wanting so much more. I can't wait for Samson, Cassie & Ivan's story. With Bunny in the background it's sure to be a hoot as well. I'm so glad Samson is getting his HEA so soon. Something about him touched my heart and I actually hurt for him. I know it's silly to care about an imaginary character in a book but that is me. I never claimed to be all there lol. Anyway, AWESOME book Ms Rainier, looking forward to the next one. ღ(ˆ◡ˆ)ღ

This book is so hilarious, I was in stitches! OMG, when Bunny first went to Hazelle House, I about busted a gut! I love Bunny's sassy mouth!!! And Samson... he has got to be my favorite side character. LOL Heather, you have the best books!! Very interesting the way you ended the book. Just maybe a hint of who might be in the next book. Didn't see that one coming. Loved it!!!! Thank you SO MUCH! I can't wait for the next adventure in Divine!

Ok attempt at BDSM

After not being able to finish the last book in the series about BDSM, I really didn't want to read this book but I had already bought it. This was a better attempt at the BDSM world. Not great but it was ok. I loved the beginning of this series but these last two stories have not been up to par. The characters are not very likable and the instalove just doesn't fit. Bunny was out of control for a submissive.

Bunny is a woman with a lot of responsibilities and doesn't think she has time for a relationship let alone learning about being submissive. She doesn't do submissive as she tells Joseph, a Dom who also runs a BDSM club. Their interactions has everyone laughing. Bunny keeps Joseph guessing and changing his mind on what his type is.

I love this series and this book. I would highly recommend this book and series.

Has this book been re-released because I am 99% sure I've already read this book. I stopped reading at the "almost falling off the roof" scene because at that point I know I've already read this book before. So yeah I was disappointed because I'm a firm believer that if books haven been republished, the description needs to say that so I don't buy something I already own.

Another winner in the Divine Creek saga. A really terrific read and one that I read twice. Characters that didn't seem would ever be attracted to one another or if they were, would probably never be able to find a way to relate on a more permanent basis. Surprise . . . they did it, but the story is the thing.

Bravo

Yet another wonderful story by Heather Rainer. I have been hooked since Grace and her wonderful men.
Joseph definitely meets his match with Bunny. She is a feisty women who knows here mind. Joseph shows her what is means to be a sub even if she is not what he is used to. She gets into delicious trouble at every turn. Bunny makes him laugh with her sassiness.

Had to read straight through cover to cover.

Greatly enjoyed the Dom and sub relationship. The relationship between them as normal people falling in love, that is if can call Joseph Hazel normal people. The story made me laugh, at time feel deep sorrow for Bunny and her life. I greatly enjoyed the scenes between Dom and sub. Well written, I hope you enjoy it.

Loved It

I loved the back and forth with Bunny and Joseph and how Joseph stepped in the help when Bunny and Tristan lost Geinnie. There was the right amount of sass from Bunny to keep Joseph interested in making her his.

Playful BDSM? Yep. This was a fun book to read. It pairs two likeable people with very different outlooks on life in a very real relationship. There is a loving relationship developed with some great humor along the way.

Love Bunny

I loved the journey that Joseph and Bunny went on. It was sweet and hot and I loved it. I love that Bunny was taking care of her family and I loved how Joseph stood beside her. Bunny antics are very funny and it's just what Joseph needed in his life. Now foe Samson.

OMG, I loved this book. I'm so glad you paired these two together. Joseph is the epitome of Dominance. Bunny is a typical redhead, fiesty, quick tempered and passionate. I laughed so hard at Bunny's antics. How could he not fall in love with her. This is a must read.
