Sir Richard Jefford has a reputation and it’s a bad one. The witch Edna Campbell seems to think he can change for the better, because she’s giving Richard a chance to redeem himself in present day San Francisco. Confused as to why he’s there and what he’s to learn, Richard wonders how he can possibly be successful. Will he get his chance at a new life, or will circumstances deny him what he truly desires and cause him to return to his old ways?
Angelina Lawson thinks she has it all figured out when it comes to love. She is a beautiful woman who could have any man she wants, but Angelina doesn’t trust any of them enough to ever be in love. Protecting her heart is first and foremost in her life, that is, until she meets a man so unexpectedly different, he could possibly change her mind and claim the heart she so fiercely guards.
Battling their pasts, as well as each other, Richard and Angelina find themselves running for their lives back to sixteenth century Scotland, while being pursued by Malcolm Granger, a man who would do anything to go back in time to recover a lost treasure.
This is a remarkable book about the most amazing bridge and a lady named Edna Campbell, who is controller of time travel across the magical bridge. Edna has the gift to see who belongs with whom in sixteenth century Scotland, even if they to travel to present day San Francisco to find their true love. This is an exciting book, full of twists and turns that you do not expect. Intrigue, heartbreak, joy, passion and suspense abounds in this great story. I'm sure you will love it as much as I did.
Completely enjoyed this next story in the series. Makes one wish time travel truly was real. Richard and Angie’ story is filled with twists and turn the evil Malcolm is an easy character to dislike. The story moved at a good pace. Once starting I could not put it down. Edna the witch throughout is quite the powerful and a great matchmaker.
This series is proving to be a must read and I highly recommend it!
Even without listening to the first three books listeners will find it very easy to catch up to the storyline and will quickly become enthralled with this time-traveling historical romance.
If you believe in 2nd chances this book is for you. Love between people that have been hurt in many ways show each other the love they want for each other in strong ways. And I really think it's nice that a author can put people in the life they deserve.
Another wonderful story! I loved it. It is so much fun to read about medieval people landing in modern day San Francisco and being awestruck by the 21st century. I've read all six of these books, mostly out of order (starting with book 5 and then I had to go back and read the rest of the series). I hope there is a book 7 planned. I think this could be an ongoing series because there are so many great characters who haven't time traveled yet.
This series just keeps on getting better. Jenna Vale has a knack for creating wonderfully animated characters. Edna is the keeper of the bridge is the key to the travel past to present and or present to past. She is caring loveable mother and a bit of something else. Each journey within the series has a message or a lesson to be learned. If you want something truly unique , a romantic romp through time then then this series is for you.
Well once again Jennae Vale has a very well written and interesting story. The characters come to life more and more with each chapter. I know book five is just around the corner. A lot could still happen with the characters in future stories. I have enjoyed this series and highly recommend it.
Any book with a story about the Bay Area is a winner in my book. Much of this book is set in San Francisco, and it gives a 21st century excitement to the book series.
I really enjoyed this story so very much. Love time travel and was glad Edna had a bigger part in this one. Richard found out what real love is and what it means to be unselfish. Really good.
