Major is looking to the future. After six months in captivity, Major wants more than revenge on his captor. He needs to change the course of the Sawtooth Forest packs. All the she-wolves have been sold to the highest bidder, and the wolves are a generation away from extinction. Major has a true mate, but she belongs to someone else. He’ll put everything on the line to make her his. Cass is trapped by her past. Being sold to a man who will never love her hurts, but it’s even more painful when her husband's sworn enemy should be her true mate. Cass never accepted her fate, and when Major walks back into her life, she knows things must change. Not just for herself, but to ensure her daughter has a future full of love instead of fear. Cass must decide what’s more dangerous—staying with her husband and guaranteeing the same fate for her daughter, or following her heart with Major.
Kristen Strassel is far cooler than she’ll make herself sound in this bio. She enjoys spending time with the voices in her head—nudging the characters toward those bad decisions and a happily ever after. When she’s not writing, she’s often still in the land of make-believe—doing makeup for film and television. And when she’s not doing any of that, she enjoys making her house look like a Pinterest board, watching football, and road trips to the middle of nowhere.
After six months being a prisoner in a fighting pit Major and his brothers are free. Major has his eyes on Cass, his mate, who was sold to the highest wolf family. She's been married to him for 12 years and he can't wait any longer. Will he be able to claim her and her daughter or will he spend his life alone. Fantastic story!.

I borrowed Her Renegade Wolf from the Kindle Unlimited program.
I loved that the 'bad boy' wolf gets his chance to find happiness with his mate that he has loved since childhood. Major Lowe has his issues but he knows how to treat his lady wolf and Cass loves it. He and his brothers show a tender side to Cass's daughter Emma too.
Cass's husband met his end in an appropriate manner for a bully, coward and evil man that he was, which made Cass's freedom just right to start a new beginning with Her Renegade Wolf.
I read this book under the original title of "Conquer Me" as part of a box set.
Major Lowe was robbed of his freedom when he was taken captive by Ryker and forced to fight as a wolf in the local dogfighting ring. When he was rescued and could finally shift back into his human form he was determined to bring an end to Ryker. Shadow Channing took care of that for him. But Major was robbed of something even more special, his mate. Ryker bought Cass when she was a baby to mate with his son Walter and she had no choice but to go when she was old enough to leave home. Now she has a daughter of her own and she is determined to ensure that Emma does not meet a similar fate, even though she is already promised to a rich wolf's son.
Major is sure the capture of him, his brothers, and the Channings was all because of his connection with Cass. He vows to take her from Walter one way or another. Seems Cass has the same idea. Nothing is going to stop these two from finding each other again.
Major and Cass were in love then Cass was forced to marry another. When they were young Major and Cass were in love and felt they were fated mates then Cass was sold to another Alpha to become the wife of his son. Twelve years later all Major can think about is getting Cass back. Cass now has a daughter Emma and is fearful that she will go through the same treatment that she had. Her husband Walter is vicious and unpleasant the fact that he is having an affair with a human woman comes almost as a relief. He and the rest of the pack treat her as dirt giving her no respect. The nanny Walter insists on having for Emma pays no attention to how she wants her brought up. Then she hear Major is back in the area and starts to dream of a better future. A shifter romance to relax and enjoy.

This is another fantastic story written by Kristen Strassel. I really love this series. It's different and wonderful. I loved reading about one of the women shifters who was sold to a wealthy male and what they really felt about it.
Sawtooth Forest is poised to change. The middle class wants things to change but it's taking time. Major has been back from his imprisonment and wants to get things back to normal. He also wants his mate, Cass but knows that this a foolish dream. She has been sold to a wealthy wolf for marriage years before. Cass hates her life and she is surprised to hear news of Major being back in the area. Will she get bold enough to step out of her life to get what she really wants?

Cass is a she-wolf, that means that even before she was able to walk she was already sold to an expensive family for marriage. Women wolves are so rare that only the wealthy families by them at birth.
Major and Cass have been in love with each other since they were kids. But her parents already secured her future. Major never expected Cass to fulfill the contract, so when she did, it devastated him.
Cass married Ryker's son, Walter, and has been in an abusive marriage ever since. She has a 5 year old girl herself and her husband just sold her as well.
When Cass heard gossip about Major from her friend, she sneaks out of the house to go visit him. It's been years since they have seen each other and Cass wants forever with him.
I was wanting a book about Major to smooth out his rough edges, but this didnt feel like the same Major at all. The background plot of saving the packs is making less sense and got no story time in this book even though Major is supposed to be one of the pack leaders fighting for it. Shadow is becoming more obnoxious. He was supposed to be the fair and righteous leader but between Baron's book and this one, he is not at all showing that. A major (not pun intended) event for this book was completely off screen and didnt involve either main character. No eyebrow was raised about Cass's change in circumstances and company but alot of emphasis was made on how vicious the Ryker family is. I had hoped for better.
This book is a very well done second chance in the shifter genre. Major and Cass were in love when they were younger and knew that they were fated mates. Cass' family however did not put any value on women and her father sold her to another to become the mate of a horrible alpha. Fast forward a decade and some odd years, and Major is searching for his mate. He has found Cass and she now has a beautiful little girl, whom she fears will be sold off like she was. Major and Cass have some trouble to deal with but I loved watching their story unfold.

A second chance love story, that will warm your heart. Cass was sold into marriage as had become the norm for wolf shifter females. They were sold to the highest bidder when children, to be climes when they grew up. Major fell in love with Cass as a teen, they both knew it could never be because he didn't come from money so even though they were fated it did not mater. This is their story and that of their pack. A 2 hour or less of easy reading.

This is the third book in this wonderful series and like the first two there is plenty of drama and suspense
Major has finally returned to Sawtooth after serving his prison sentence Sawtooth is in the grip of change. He is determined to get his mate back. When they where younger the mate bond struck them put Cassie was promised to a wealthy wolf shifter by her family Cassie is surprised when she sees Major back she wants to be with him but knows that could start a war Will she put her love first You will have to read to see.
I love that the other group of wolves is getting a chance at love. Cass and Major may of grown up together and knew they were meant for each other, but in a culture where females are few she was sold to be a bride to a rich wolf. Too bad being rich also seems to coincide with being a cruel and unloving jerk (to put it nicely). The story has several ups and downs. I love that the bad boy is trying to change his life. Something about the character of Major is just so great and makes you totally root for him.
I love this author's work and second chance romances. She knocked this one out the park for me. The storyline drew me in and kept me in the world she had written, and the characters were so well developed that I fell in love with them and felt every emotion that they went through. You cant go wrong with her books. This one was definitely a gem.

My least favorite so far. I read Shadow's & Baron's stories and they were pretty good considering the fact that this are short stories. But Major's story feels way too incomplete, seams like a couple of of chapters on a book with major loop holes. Major does mostly nothing and can't follow Cass sudden change. Totally hated Connie's participation and even more her "change" at the end. Everything seems forced.
Cass and Major have a past together but pack law kept them from one another. Major is determine to get her back but this just might cause a war. Cass desperately needs Major but she know she must be smart about it. These two broke my heart and then pieced it back together again. Excellent writing.
The third book in the series brings Cass and Major's story. Their characters are strong and the story is a page turner. I was hooked from start to finish reading. Emotions run deep in this one and I loved seeing them come together in this steamy romance.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
Cass and Major were mates and he went to prison. Cass was sold to the highest bidder as per pack law after he left because she could still breed. Can they find their HEA since Major has been released or will it cause a war amongst the shifter community? Good suspenseful read

I love happy endings and I believe in fated mates. So I am glad that Cass and Major have their second chance at love and bonding as mates. A steamy romance that was short and quick to read but very entertaining.

A really good shifter romance with a second chance. 💞🐺💞
Major needs his mate, Cass, back in his life but he has to be careful so she doesn't get hurt worse than she has been. Cass wants things to change but she's scared of how it will affect her daughter.💗🔥💕

Walter dying unaided was the perfect solution to the problem. That way, there was no vengeance necessary against the Channings and the Lowes while also preventing any fighting between the two classes. It totally wiped the slate clean for everyone. And I love that the pompous ass from the first two books has a tender side.

Fantastic storyline about mates that should have been. Great characters and the book was thrilling throughout. Wonder what choice she has. Not to be missed
Book 4 Major and Cass: I am NOT a fan of cheating and there is definitely cheating in this book. I understand it is under semi-typical circumstances and no one was really getting their heart broken. But, unfortunately is did really taint this story for me. Aside from that, this story really starts to tie together the whole Sawtooth Shifters saga. The pack is dying out because very females were born in the last generation and those who were had been sold off to the wealthy wolves at such a young age that reproduction was limited to a few families. Sold, not mated. Major may be a disgruntled wolf, and he may have been the better choice for Alpha than Shadow. He is definitely a take charge guy in that his mate and love of his life is in a contract marriage with a daughter and Major has decided enough is enough. He is going to be with Cass come hell or high water. Cass has finally had enough too. She makes up her mind to leave her husband and run back to Major with her daughter in tow. *Insert all the cheating here*. Risking his family, her daughter, their Pack, and the future peace and well-being of their community, Major and Cass decide to be together. Walter (the husband) gets his, so yeah, no worries there. This story could have been my favorite. Cass re-discovering her she-wolf, running in the forest for the first time in ages, claiming her mate, trying to make a better life for her daughter, re-uniting the Pack (in a way); this story is packed with great angst, drama, love, and promise. But the cheating. If you are this far into the series, you won’t want to stop! Shea, Lyssie, X and some new characters hold a lot of promise. I definitely want to know how they are going to resolve the issue of the Packs dying out. On to book 5!
