Divided Souls will have your pulse racing, as each character pulls at your emotions and takes you on a never-ending journey through their dramatic existences.
“Divided Souls” by Tara L. Thompson, took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride from beginning to end. The Author’s word choices, imagery and details paint a vivid picture of the hearts and souls of her characters.
The unfolding and revealing lives of Pastor Simms and his children, will at times have the reader scratching their head as their mouth hangs open. The secrets of the first family often read like the pages of today’s newspapers, while exposing unexpected soul damage that can destroy every life they touch.
Years of deceitful lifestyles finally collide in death for some and mental devastation for others, with an ending you will not see coming. (Jamesina)
The sequel to Ms. Thompson’s first novel is difficult to read because some of the characters I liked in the previous book are much more selfish & self-centered in this one.
I enjoyed part 1, Before I Say I Do, but this one is so much better. The author did a wonderful job showing the growth of Rachel Simms Perkins and the moments of self reflection were exactly what I thought Rachel needed in book 1. The range of characters, emotions, and drama kept the story flowing at an excellent pace. This is an interesting read with a moral that isn't the least bit preachy but highly effective. The book is appropriately titled as each character is literally torn between opposing desires and decisions. Great work by a budding author.
Wow I was not expecting this. I read the first in this series and thought it was good, but this one was damn good! Drama, secrets...lies. This was a complete 360 from the first book. But I enjoy drama, it makes the read engaging and more interesting. And Corey, that...well I'm not going to say. The one thing I liked was how Rachel had grown in this book, how she had found true gratification in just being her. Excellent read!
Many secrets and some unexpected relationships lead to a ending I did not see coming. Good story line that kept my attention and wanting to see what would happened once all was revealed. Good read.
.An awesome and emotional read from beginning to end. The lives of Pastor Sims and his children, will leave you speechless. Secrets can do more harm than good.
