A cognitive approach to changing ideas that many of us may have in our brains. Although I am not so much in favor of pure cognitive approaches to enable deep and permanent change, I believe this book is helpful in that direction.
You may not agree with all of the author's ideas, the authoritative language at some points, or the simplistic suggestions on how to overcome specific "toxic ideas". That's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
However, many people will find a lot of help in this book, especially people that have never been exposed to cognitive psychotherapy or studied mental processes. Even if specific author's suggestions do not make sense to you or seem not so effective, just focusing on the toxic ideas and thinking how to overcome is a huge step to a better life, even to healing for some people.
