3 ⭐⭐⭐ - OK decent reads
======================
I thought back four years ago to the first time I set eyes on Alexandria Gibson.

When her dress reached the top of her thighs, Xandria uncrossed her legs and exposed her bare snatch. It would take a fucking eunuch not to get ensnared in the crude, but effective web she was weaving.

She was everything I would want in a woman…if I was free.

After Alexandria, condoms were a must for me.

“I don’t fuck without a condom, ever,” I explained. She froze for a second and then quietly said, “Okay Cas.”

Well I'm in Love with how this book was written and I'm left like apart of me is empty I miss it already.
I didn't want it to end and once I reached the dreaded last page that holds those evil words I new I was going to be glum from it.
This book is my favourite yes I said it! and it's So worth these loveable 5 bright Stars.

This book pulled me in from the start and I loved how Sarah and Max where.
Sarah's a strong girl with a tainted past that changed hers and her brothers life's and made Him have to grow up fast. He became Sarah's world and tried to help her through things. Then things changed and Sarah moved away but once she returned home -Well home that once was.

Sarah has to push her past behind to move forward and when she meets Cas he has issues of his own to battle with, So they just have to keep it simple, That magic word (simple) yeah there's always more then meets the eye with that one word. Is it really that simple well you better read to find out.
Will they be each others rock or will there demons pull the strings for there futures.

This book is soul touching and with a little emotional pull and well it also had me laughing at times,
A great addition to the MMG series and well worth the read. I say read the series if you haven't. A pleasure to have read - Reviewing for my blog.

Omg I was so very fortunate to get an arc of keep it simple and wow I could not put it down once I started reading it. I finished it at 4;30 am and was still on book high.
Sarah is max's little sister and is coming home for his wedding . when she decides to go out with her friends and meets Cass it's only supposed to be a one time thing and keep it simple but as most of us knows it's never simple. Sarah has past issues she has been trying to keep them buried and Cass has been through hell and back and has issues he needs to deal with but when things come out can they stay together or will it destroy them.
RB is such an amazing writer and her books always keep you hooked onto every word. congratulations on keeping it simple! Awesome Book !

5 'WE WERE NEVER SIMPLE' STARS!

Another fantastic addition to RB Hilliard's MMG series! I love this series, and I've been anxious to read Cas and Sarah's story. It did not disappoint!

Sarah is Max's younger sister, and she's back in Charlotte for Max and Ellie's wedding after having been sent, for her safety, to school in Scotland while she and Max were in hiding. Max never really gave Sarah a full explanation as to why she was being sent away, and she harbors a lot of anger, hurt and confusion after having spent the last three years thinking it was her fault that she was sent away.

Caswell 'Cas' Ashford is a man weighed down by the baggage of his past, baggage he is not yet entirely free from. He hasn't dealt well with the pain life has handed him, and he is resentful for the all he's lost.

Cas and Sarah meet in a bar and hook up, agreeing to keep things simple. But love is never simple, and they both, while not yet ready or able to admit otherwise, feel a strong attraction and connection to each other. But Cas isn't free from his past, and Sarah is only in town for a week. While on her way back to Scotland following her week with Cas and Max's wedding, Sarah decides she's going to move back after she completes this semester.

Upon her return four months later, Cas and Sarah run into each other, and they are both surprised by their connection to each other through Max. Despite intentions to not get involved with each other, they have trouble staying apart. Cas keeps insisting that he's not free, and when his past rears its head into his present, the pain it causes both of them may very well be the undoing of this budding relationship before it even gets the chance to bloom.

I loved Cas and Sarah's sweet, sexy romance. These two fell for each other hard. Circumstances, time and geography separate them, but they keep finding their way back to each other proving that they are anything but simple. Suspenseful, steamy and sometimes heart-breaking, Keep It Simple was everything I've come to love about this series and RB's writing style.

I highly recommend reading all of books in this series in order; they are intentionally written to be experienced that way. The talented RB Hilliard was definitely successful in her efforts to wind the interwoven events of this series together, snapping them tighter and more vividly into focus with each book. She did this while still managing to present each book with its own intricacies, nuances and storylines. Never once at any point while reading this series have I felt like one of the books was just a rehashing of the same story. It was always a new and exciting presentation. I absolutely loved how she wrote this series! Just when I thought I knew everything, the next book comes along with new layers and fresh perspectives!

A fantastic series! Well written, well developed, interesting and exciting, it's one of my favorite series, and I'm hoping for more!! Great job, RB!

I've been waiting for this one since we met Cas in Letting Go and I will tell you I wasn't disappointed. This story runs alongside One More Time and is taken from the view point of Cas and Sarah. What starts off as a one night stand turns into something entirely different.
When Cas discovers Sarah is Max's little sister and what she's been through things take a turn for the worse. We piece together flashes from their pasts which brings us to the present. Cas has baggage and wow she is a nasty piece of work. RB sure knows how to create a monster!
The developing relationship between Cas and Sarah is unstoppable. As hard as they try to stay away from each other sometimes somethings are just meant to be and I really enjoyed taking this rocky journey with them. The banter between them is hilarious. Sarah is a strong, sassy lady who knows what she wants but is still seen as the little sister. Cas is a hot alpha male trying to do what's right for everyone but himself.
As I have come to expect from RB Hilliard great storylines, action packed and full of twists and turns that keep you up at night telling yourself just one more chapter. She always keeps you guessing if you're going to get that happy ending which I must admit getting towards the end I was thinking to myself OMG how is this going to be okay. Definitely worth everyone of those 5 stars!!

Love is never simple. This simple statement is true for Sarah and Cas.
Sarah has had a rough childhood, after her brother has to send her away to another country to keep her safe. She comes home to visit for her brothers wedding, not expecting to meet anyone or to fall in love.
Cas has his own issues from his past. He's quiet and doesn't let anyone in. He's focused on his job, and getting rid of his past issues and moving on.
When Sarah and Cas meet, it was supposed to be simple, well that doesn't happen.
This story is about love, heartache, and secrets. Can two people make it together and fall in love , with horrible pasts? Or will their secrets destroying them?
This book will keep you turning the pages and wondering if the trials and tribulations of their relationship will conquer, or keep them apart?
This book is a great addition to this series, and can be read as a standalone, but I would advise you to read the other books in the series. Thank you R.B. Hilliard for giving me a chance to read and review this amazing book!!

Keep It Simple by R.B. Hilliard is anything but simple. The story of Cas & Sarah is complicated, muddled and at times heartbreaking. Cas: fresh from a relationship that tore him apart. Sarah: damaged from a very young age. Cas's motto of Keep It Simple and not jumping into anything gets thrown out the window when he meets Sarah at a bar one night. Sarah is use to alpha males in her life growing up around the men of MMG but Cas is different and she can't resist him. The electricity and chemistry between this two characters is unreal. This is the 1st book in this series I've read and I can tell you right now I can't wait to go back and read the rest of the books. R.B. Hilliard has a way with words that is unlike other writer I've read. If you love a hot romance, with a mystery/crime element then this is for you. 5 Star Read!

I was given an arc of Keep It Simple by RB Hilliard for an honest review before her release day on November 5th.

This book is number 4 in the MMG series.  This is the story of Cas and Sarah.  Sarah is the sister to Max, a main player  in the MMG series. Cas is a member of the LASH security crew in the series.

For many years Sarah was removed from the family for safety reasons and had spent her time in Scotland, only to come back for her brother's wedding.  It was only supposed to be a short stay, but then Cas happened.

Cas has his problems and doesn't need to compound them with the beautiful Sarah, but the heart wants what it wants.

This is a rollercoaster of emotions and there are times when as a reader I wanted to reach in the book and slap some people silly, but the end is worth the ride.

RB Hilliard is a fabulous writer and I can't wait to see what she does next!

4 stars!

Given an ARC for an honest review. The day has come to return home for Sarah. After she returns the wild ride begins. Sarah is a strong woman with a past that changed her life. Cas is a man that has some issues with the past as well. These two have built walls and are not wanting to let anyone break them down. This book is an emotional roller coaster. Is life ever completely simple? There are moments of heartaches, love and secrets. This is a fabulous read. Will Sarah and Cas be able to Keep It Simple? Will the past haunt them too much and keep them from finding what they are looking for in each other? Find out and read Keep It Simple.

I can't get enough of this series!!! I love everything about these books. When we really get to know Cas and Sarah in One More Time I knew that they were going to be awesome characters when they told their own story. And of course, Ms Hilliard didn't disappoint!!! I loved the chemistry these two characters had. This book is full of all the feels you want to have when reading a good story, heartbreak, love, pain, joy...This story has it all. Ms hilliard has a gift of storytelling, unparalleled by many. Love this book!!!

The plot twists and the emotional turmoil in this books are mind boggling. Just when you think one person is the Asshole, it quickly does a complete turnaround and points you in the opposite direction. This book in the series hit a little closer to home. The author did a damn good job of hitting on a touchy subject without going to far. It's a must read!

Reviewing Keep it Simple from the story side of the book, the book was great. It was out of my normal reading zone, which normally is paranormal romance. There was nothing paranormal about this book, but it was a great contemporary romance. I like being brought outside my box from time to time. Cas and Sarah’s story was something that I did not expect when I first started reading the book. Sarah is truly a developed character and I enjoyed learning about her past. In order to know why she was the person she is today, you had to have that back story. As a young girl Sarah dealt with many things that a young girl should not have to deal with. Sarah’s childhood was terrible. I felt for this girl. I could not imagine those things happening to me, especially the things that her father did to her. My father was a loving man. He was, however, an alcoholic. Although my father was an alcoholic, he was a funny drunk. He was a father, and acted how a father should. He was not a very good husband in my opinion, but he was the best father than I could ever have hoped for. He is no longer with us, and I miss him every day. I feel sad that Sarah cannot feel this way about her father. That she could not see him as a father through a child’s eyes. Of course she didn’t know what he was doing was wrong at the time, but once she was old enough to understand, I am certain her feelings toward her father had changed.
I loved what living in Scottland had done to this characters speech. It made the dialogue funny at times and it was a good twist on the story.
I enjoyed reading Cas’s background too. I hated what happened to his son. I have 4 children and I have no idea what I would do if I lost one. It would probably tear me down to the point of not being able to function. The reader can tell that Cas cared for his son deeply, but hated his mother. The fact that he loved his son makes me wonder how in the world he handled what happened to his son so well. How was he still able to function? He was definitely a strong soul.
I felt that Sarah could be a bit ditsy sometimes and did not always make the best decisions. Especially when it came to her love life. Of course we all make mistakes because we are all blinded to the aspects of our own relationships. I wanted to smack Sarah at times and definitely wanted to smack Sally! That stunt she pulled was not the best plan in the world. I am not even sure she had a plan I think she just winged it!
Cas is definitely an ass. An attractive ass, but that’s besides the point. That is probably the only reason any female put up with his attitude. His male friends cherished him as well. I wonder if he was a Sagittarius? Ha! With all that charisma he had going for him. I also loved the business aspect of the story. I have an entrepreneurial spirit (probably why I am one class away from an MBA) and I loved the business aspects of the story, however small they may have been they were an integral part of the story. PI and bounty hunting is an interesting business venture. Of course there was no bounty hunting in the story, I was just pointing out that those two fields were interesting to me.
The story ended a little differently than I expected, but the outcome was more than I could have hoped for Cas and Sarah. I would love to hear more of their story.
From an editorial point of view on Keep it Simple, there were only a few words misused, little to no misspelled words, and the story flowed well. I love it when I am never questioning who a character is! There were not so many characters that you could not remember what part one character played in the story and how they related to the main characters. This is definitely a very well written book!
Five stars all the way!

Overall Rating: 4.5 Rockin’ ★★★★☆

Do you believe in second chances? Can a person go through hell and back and actually find happiness? In R.B. Hilliard’s newest novel in her MMG series, Keep it Simple both main characters have been through unspeakable pain, anguish and heart ache. Only to find that maybe happiness is possible. With a plot filled and interwoven with suspense and anguish, the author creates an unforgettable crossing of two lonely people who long for love.

Sarah McLellan was tormented at a very young age by her abusive father. The only light in her life was her older brother, who sent her away when she was a teenager, to protect her. Now back from Scotland Sarah is ready to live, love and forget her past. She loves her brother even with his overbearing ways. With a chance meeting at a bar, Sarah is thrust into the arms of Cas Ashford. From that moment on she can’t think of anything else but him. However, Cas has a secret of his own and just wants to keep things simple between them.

Caswell Ashford has been running from his tortured past for the past five years. Getting mixed up with the wrong people can do that to a person. Now things are beginning to come together for him, until he meets the woman that can change his mind about everything. Sarah McLellan. Cas wants her in a way that he never dreamed possible, but she’s Max McLellan’s little sister and off limits. Not only that, he can’t let himself fall for someone so hard when he can’t forget or forgive himself for his tainted past.

In continuing with the MMG series, the author graces us with past characters from the series as well. I loved the fact that we had the chance to learn more about characters in her previous books. She has crafted a beautiful story that touches the reader and begs for more. This is an excellent addition to your library. If you haven’t read anything by R.B. Hilliard, I recommend picking up the rest of her MMG series today and read them. They will take you on a journey of passion, love and reconciliation.

Keeping it simple, this is a fantastic five star read that you need in your life. This is the fourth book in the MMG series, the final book is coming in a couple of week’s I finally broke and read this book, I bought it months ago but knew I was going to miss the MMG crew too much while waiting for the final book, so I kept putting off reading it. The series goes from strength to strength, with every book more details are revealed, in this book it was Cas and Sarah’s chance to reveal themselves. What a story they have to tell.
Caswell Ashford has always been a character that you see but don’t hear, he’s always around but never reveals much of himself. This story changes that, I always used to think he was an arrogant douche now, like the other MMG guys he has a tiny part of my heart. I just hope he gets his happy ever after in the end. (Sue me I’m a romantic) He has been running for so long can he ever stop?
Sarah Ann McLellan and myself have something in common we have both always seemed to be known as someone’s little sister, and that’s a hard burden to over-come, you love your brother but sometimes you want to throat punch them for being over bearing. Thankfully that and the name is about it, as there is so much more to Sarah’s story that she never revealed before. Will she return from Scotland to help with baby Mac or will the freedom she has in Scotland be too much of a pull for her? All she wants is a nice man to look after her and allow her the independence she desires, something she doesn’t get from the alpha domineering men in her life, basically she is looking for the opposite of Cas, but sometimes your heart desires the opposite of your brain. Will love concur all or will the running from both and Alphaness of one be too much for both of them?

I was lucky enough to receive an Arc from R.B for a review.

Well i never thought i would be saying this. This is my favourite book in this series to date. I know, i know i cant believe it, it beat Max's story.

I have been dying to read this ever since we met the illusive and mysterious Cas in Letting Go but this book goes beyond what i ever imagined. Epecially after all that angst in the previous book.

Both Sarah and Cas have known their fair share of pain. Sarah still has secrets about her childhood where Cas' pain is more recent.

There are so may feels in this book, from heartbreak to utter joy. It's a wonderful journey from what went from a simple affair with the motto 'Keep It Simple' to a happy ever after. But first they both have to heal and be honest with each other and themselves.

R.B hit yet another nail on the head with this book and it was well worth the anticipation. I was captivated from the first page all the way to them hated words 'THE END', those are never good words when it comes to this authors books. I really can't wait for more from this author.

I have been waiting forever for this book. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author. I started this book one evening and didn't, no I couldn't stop until I got to the end. Like the rest of the books in this series the story line and the characters pull you in and never let go. I honestly start to feel like I am right in there with them living the plot. Keep It Simple is about Sarah and Cas who have immediate attraction when they meet at a wedding. Because neither of them is looking for a relationship, they agree to one hot night. They agree to keeping it simple. But it is anything but simple. When they meet again and Cas discovers who Sarah really is and Sarah learns what Cas is hiding will they be able to act on their feelings, or can they even remain friends after all is said and done. Trust me you do not want to miss this, you will want to find the answers to these questions and more. This book is an amazing addition to the MMG Series. RB has done it again and then some. I wish I could give it more stars.

I honestly can't express how much I've enjoyed this series and group of friends

Sarah is Max's little sister. To say her childhood has been rough is putting it mildly, but she has come out on the other side a strong, beautiful (inside and out) woman. I love when she throws out some Scottish terms! Cas has had his share of rough times too - when you find out just how bad it's been you can better understand where he's coming from. The pull between these two is so strong it's just the timing that sucks. They meet when Sarah comes home for Max and Ellie's wedding but never exchange pertinent information. When Sarah moves home from Scotland Cas and Sarah are both shocked at their connections. What follows is two people trying to ignore their hearts....and you know how that works. This is a great story from start to finish

The MMG Series is my favorite series ever and RB doesn't disappoint with Keep It Simple. I loved everything about this book from the instant connection Cas and Sarah have to the secrets that could destroy them. Cas is mysterious and charming but definitely has a bad boy side to him. He doesn't like to get too close to anyone then he meets Sarah. Sarah is smart and sassy. She has been through a lot but she has a huge heart and is extremely kind despite the tragedies she has endured. Cas is everything she wants but everything she knows she doesn't need. Can they just Keep It Simple or will things become way too complicated?

RB writes the perfect romance novels. They have something for everyone...love, sex, twists, and suspense. I can't wait to see what happens with the MMG crew next.

I have been waiting a while to get my hands on Sarah and Cas’s book and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Going back and seeing how they met and the circumstances that they were under, ugh it just broke my heart. Sarah is an amazing character, she is so strong and has been through so much in her past…its hard not to love her. Cas, having an emotional rough past himself, you find yourself just hoping this two work things out and make it through. I loved this book, and found myself not wanting to put it down. I highly recommend, especially if you have been reading this series from the start! Cant wait to see what happens next in the MMG Series!

I couldn't put it down!

I am so happy I found the MMG Series. Each story, each couple goes thru so much self discovery, each having to face hard truths and accepting that sometimes life gives you the shaft. The chemistry between Sarah and Cas is sharp and incredibly sexy. I wanted to yell at both of them for being stubborn and stupid. This is a book sucks you in and you can't put it down till you know what happens. Love this series!
