Texas is the daughter of a rock legend. Kitt is on the precipice of becoming a rock legend. Both are stuck together on a tour bus during their European tour. Everything will be fine. As long as Texas can keep herself from falling for a bad boy rocker and her dad and Kitt’s mentor doesn’t find out about the dirty things he wants to do to his daughter. Yes. Everything will be fine.

The book is told from a dual POV and laid out almost like a diary with daily entries across the span of their tour. While I probably didn’t need a play by play of every single gesture and conversation these two had (it made this book incredibly long) and Texas seemed a little too prissy, naïve and childish to have been the daughter of a rock god and someone who grew up around rockers on a tour bus; I have to admit that I thoroughly enjoyed the slow development of their romance. It made for some great tension between the two and Texas’ naivety actually made for a sweet romance.

The book is littered with cute and romantic moments, some jealousies that created angst and a host of sexy rockers. The two are trying to keep their attraction in check but their control snaps and passions burn. Watching the manwhore, rock god that is Kitt be brought to his knees was delicious and really the poor fool had no chance against his attraction to Texas.

With The Band also features some great secondary characters who fight for attention just as hard as Kitt and Texas. They all seemed like a family of misfits and the interactions and antics of this group was hilarious. Although this wasn’t my favorite rockstar romance, it was still an enjoyable slow burn romance and when the author writes Coop and Milo’s stories, I’ll be on that like white on rice.

'Can you love someone too much? Because this is so overwhelming that it almosts hurts'

This is a story about young love and just how beautiful & real it can be. I know because I experienced it myself when I met my 'person' when I was 15 years old and 28 years later we are still very happy and in love. You can eventually grow old with the person you were young with.

Texas Knight has grown up in the world of rock stars, touring the world with her father Mark & his band. Her dad has done a fantastic job raising her alone after her mother checked out on her to pursue her own dreams. She is now 19 years old, finished her years of being a student and has been kind of charged with looking after the new upcoming band Filthy Sound. They are making a name for themselves and Tex has enjoyed seeing them gain their own fans and success over the past two years. That was about the time that she also fell in love with the lead singer, Kitt.

'He's annoying. And beautiful. And I'm in love with him.'

Tex knows that Kitt is young and has the world at his feet. His band is hitting the big time, there is an endless amount of woman offering themselves up to him, Coop & Milo and they frequently indulge. They party hard and are just riding the wave of being a rock star. They all love to flirt with Tex but know their boundaries when it comes to her, her Dad would have their balls! However, the lines between her and Kitt begin to blur a little, especially when there is alcohol involved and no dad around to see.

There is a growing attraction between Kitt & Texas that they just can't seem to ignore, even though it means sneaking around behind her dad's back. Texas can't understand why Kitt would want her when he could have any other woman on the planet. A quick lay has quickly turned into something of no interest to Kitt anymore. What he has and feels for Tex is the most real thing he has ever felt in his life. Are they both too young to have already found 'the one' or will this be just a fleeting thing for them?

'She feels like answers to questions I'm not ready to even think about'

Rock stars.

I love me some Rock stars, but until recently, I haven’t been all that interested in the rockstar books. Mainly because of the fact that of the ones I’ve read, there is always a common lead singer is a man whore thing going on and for some reason, even though it might be true to life in terms of the way lead singers in bands are, it’s not usually my thing.

Which brings me to this book. Where looks can certainly be deceiving. Where this particular lead singer isn’t quite the man whore the rest of the world and even the heroine seems to believe. He’s the exception. He breaks the mold. While he may have started out that way, I mean, young, hot lead singer in a rising star band having access to all the women he could possibly want, probably having panties thrown at him nightly, let alone the propositions from groupies, what guy wouldn’t give in. So I cut Kitt some slack in that department.

Turns out, I was so right cutting him the slack, because what he may have done in the past, he just doesn’t do here. Not when the book starts. In fact, with the way him and Texas are with one another, it was clear right from the jump, long before they delve into the “relationship” waters that they were just plain meant to be. That she, despite his reputation was the one for him. Though getting him to admit that right away, let alone get Texas to admit she’s been in love with this guy for two freaking years, well that wasn’t easy.

But it was interesting to watch unfold.

That being said, there was a lot of push and pull and misunderstandings/arguments/situations that I felt were a little bit more drawn out and made into bigger things than they should have been, but overall it wasn’t often enough, or drawn out enough to hinder my overall enjoyment of the story.

I enjoyed the coming into one’s own feel of this story. For both Kitt and Texas, but more so as it pertained to Texas. She needed to find her place apart from being the daughter of a rockstar and I think that worked most for me, even if it wasn’t the most ideal thing for their newly found relationship. Kitt had a path, he knew what he wanted to do. Texas while having some ideas, wasn’t quite there so her going off to find that, walking away from touring with her father and Kitt and his band in order to do that (though not walking away from their relationship, I might add), it was a great addition. It added a sense of realism in a world that often times seems like it’s out of this world.

Their relationship worked for me on a couple of levels. Of course it was steamy and that worked, but it was the growth of them from friends to liking and then eventually to loving that hit me the most. It was a great progression, yet they still kept the core things about them together that worked. The humor, the fun, the hanging out together that friends do. It was like watching lovers and best friends in one and in a romance novel, the way you want it in real life, it worked here.

Now, I can’t end this review without saying something about the other members of Kitt’s band and Texas’s father, so here goes.

I need more of them. All of them. I want to see these “players” get knocked on their butts by love. Especially Cooper. LOL That guy was comedy gold and definitely one I want to see get what’s coming to him. Preferably by Peyton since it appears as though much like Texas and Kitt work, these two do as well.

And the relationship Texas has with her father. Now that I didn’t see coming. With the way Rockstars, especially aging ones get depicted in books, I didn’t really expect the bond that was here. I didn’t expect him to be such a protective and loving parent. But I’ll be damned, he was and it was fantastic. I know I was supposed to fall in love with Kitt, but I’m pretty sure it was the dad that stole my heart the most. But that just might be the mom in me speaking. Either way, this was a dynamic that while I didn’t see coming, added another plus in the win column for me, this book and the author.

If you’re a fan of Rocker romances, especially ones with humor than I think you’ll enjoy this. I know that I did.

My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me an ARC of this before official release. I’m definitely With the Band and even though the author was new to me, I can’t wait to see where she takes this band and these characters next!

I was excited to read this. Who doesn't love a rockstar book. But found that I was a bit disappointed. I felt that the "secret romance" between Kitt and Texas seemed to drag on a bit too much. I didn't feel we ever really got a big "climax" to the story. A band.....touring.....secret romance.... Where was the drama? The angst? When what could have been a wrench thrown into their relationship it fizzled. Never to be brought up again. Too many things just didn't connect with me as a reader. Maybe not all rockstar books are meant to be full of the drama and angst that I love. And for that- many of you will love this one.

Please know that it wasn't a bad book. Or bad writing. I personally just needed more from my rock stars

The difference between a good book & a great book, is when you miss the characters afterwards. I currently have a Kitt & Texas shaped hole in my life & a serious book hangover!!

I found the very start of the book, a little slow but as I've read several Natasha Preston books now, I knew it would get good & oh boy did it get good!!!

The emotions absolutely poured from this book & I was gutted every time I had to put it down.

It's been a while since a book made me feel this way & its definitely my favourite of Natasha's books.

While this wasn't a great book it was definitely a solid book. It had all the right components, love, drama, sex...it just never got great and never climaxed....at some points it dragged on and it just made me crave more from a rocker book.

Texas is a rock legends daughter who has grown up with her Dad and his famous band. She has been traveling with them since she was a baby. Her mom is a super famous model and basically dumped her on the father to follow her career.

Her Dad's now older but still famous band takes a tour with Filthy Sound a new and more popular band. Her fathers one rule while on tour with this band is to keep their hands off his daughter.

Kitt Daniels. Lead Singer. Tattooed. Bad Boy. Male Whore. What more could a girl want. Needless to say Texas falls for him and falls hard. She has had a secret crush on Kitt for a very long time but has always been in the shadows to him. Until this tour.

A relationship more then friendship develops between Kitt and Texas after a few chapters of dragged out flirting and indecision. It was cute to watch their attraction develop and seeing them sneak around but considering she is a teenager it was mostly rated PG to me. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing just would expect more from two hot bands traveling. There is alot of talk about sex and women but no details.

There is mild drama and our course Texas's father finds out about the secret relationship and its all pretty much taken in stride. Like I said it was a bad book and the storyline was good it just never took off for me.

I love me some rock star books!!
And, I enjoyed this one. Kitt and
Texas are friends to lovers and
parts of this story I really connected
with.

I FLOVED Texas and her relationship
with her rock star father. It was sweet
and endearing and very believable. I
also enjoyed how Texas's mother showed
up toward the end and how the author
gave Texas confidence through that
relationship.

Kitt rubbed me the wrong way at first,
I don't know if it was his whorish ways
or what, but I did end up really liking him
and how he loved Texas.

What made this a 3 star read was the
constant push and pull of Kitt and
Texas's relationship. They could not
let her father know about them, because
of her fathers past experiences and
the fact that Kitt was a "love em' and
leave em'" type guy. So this was their
secret. BUT, after a while it just got
sooo old. So much back and forth.
Then when they decide to come out,
Texas then decides that they need time
apart for her to suddenly "find herself".
I am all for a girl knowing who she is
but this came out of left field.

All in all it was a good read. I think it
should have been shorter, but I would
read more by this author.

Ok when is the next book haha, Natasha Preston has me completely captivated by this series. I've loved everything I have previously read by Natasha and have always loved them and again another book from this lady that I didn't want to put down.

First off the Relationship between Texas and her dad is so god damn beautiful and the way its portrayed is spot on. Every character is well developed and I found myself wanting to get to know all of them, so I am really hoping for more of this series maybe even Enigma's story too.

From page on this book dives right in, we fall right into the angst of Texas and Kitt which fit the way of their relationship they are a full throttle couple well once they get their heads on straight that is. There were some parts I wanted to knock some sense into Texas however she has insecurities and good reasons for them too.

Another fantastic read from Natsha Preston, she never fails :)

I was so excited to read this book!! I've been following Natasha's work closely since her wattpad days and every book of hers has been good so far! I really enjoyed this one. I really did, but I personally think it should've been shorter. I had to stop so many times... if it had a few less chapters I think it would've been perfect. I also felt like there were some loose ends with some parts of this story... But overall it was a fun and light read. Very romantic. If you're a hopeless romantic like me, and love rock star books without a lof of drama in it, you'll love this one! :)

The book was pretty fun with rockers on the road. Texas on tour with her dad, Mark and the support band of young men of which Texas has had a crush on for a couple of years. They are a great bunch and this is fun!!!

Although I really liked the story, the "conflict" dragged a little too much and seemed to be never ending. Kitt and Texas had great chemistry when they weren't walking out on each other.

I was so into this book, I loved the characters and the family feels the guys had when on tour.

The banter was great, I'm a bit gutted there are no other books with Cooper and Milo the other band members who bought humor to the plot.

About WITH THE BAND
Tex was Brought up by a famous rockstar single dad, Texas I felt was a little bratty at times and immature but putting that down to her age I tried to not let it bother me, although I did roll my eyes at some of her words and actions but I suppose it brought added drama.

Tex has had the hots for Kitt for two years, they have known each other a while, and she has been secretly falling deeper for him and also feeling the hurt when she watches him go off with groupies, especially as his band gets more famous.

Kitt also has the hots for Tex, they are close friends and when they all go on tour again together Kitt fights his feelings and doesn't want to take advantage of the man who has been his idol and mentor who is Tex's father and rock legend or cause problems on tour. Kitt and his band was the supporting act of Enigma but now Kitts band are the ones being supported by Tex's father's band this time around. Filthy Sound is making it big and although Tex is along supporting her father she is also along for the man she's growing to love.

Things start to get hard to avoid on tour, sharing a bus and spending so much time together, Kitt and Tex are inevitable.

This is one of those stories were rockstar manwhore turns into adorable swoon-worthy bbf, I loved it.

I also loved that Natasha kept the Britishism if that's even a word. The guys were crude, rude and very British, like I said earlier, I loved them and wish this was a series, I would definitely follow it and with this book being a few years ago, no doubt there would be maturity in Natasha's writing style too.

I love a good rockstar read, man-whore, bad boy doing a one-eighty over a girl and this is definitely one of the good ones.

In summary, a bargain buy, a good rockstar and coming of age romance that I enjoyed.

If you love hot rock stars you’ll love this

This is my first read from Natasha and it won’t be the last! I loved every second of this book there is so much emotion in it!

Texas has been hopelessly in love with kitt for two years and Kitt has had feelings for Texas too but he doesn’t want to act in them feelings because she is off limits her fathers band are supporting his band on a tour he doesn’t want to anger her dad or mess up the start of his bands career so he tries to ignore his feelings for her during the tour they grow closer and give in to their feelings for one another and become kexis

I loved the chemistry between these characters this book had some really comical moments too I loved how they were always winding each other up with their antics and sarcasm one character that really stood out to me was coop he literally had my crying with laughter

I highly recommend this book

I freaking loved this book! It had heart and it had soul! Plus rockstars and a steamy romance! The perfect combo! Texas’ relationship with her dad was just beautiful! He managed to raise her all by himself whilst in the road with his hand and kept her grounded when she could have so easily have gone off the rails due to the celeb life they lead. I loved Texas being on the road with her dad’s band, Enigma and Dirty Sound so I was so sad when she decided to go back to the UK so that Kitt could enjoy touring to the fullest without worrying about Texas. My heart kinda broke every time they’d fall out. And then I’d cry when they’d make up and the end! Omg the end! It was so romantic and magical!! The perfect happy ending!

I would loved to have read more about Texas and her modelling career and where it was gonna take her! I also would love for there to be a sequel! I adored all the characters and really would love to know more about them! Like, what happened with Milo and Lexi? Did they get their happy ever after? And Mark? Did he find someone to finally settle down with? Ohhh and Coop! Did he carry on being a Casanova? Sooo many questions! I just didn’t want it to end! This book was everything!

This has taken me a while to read. Nothing related to the book, just busy schedule.

With that said, I am in love with this book. It sorta reminds of Reliving Fate in a way, especially the sarcasm, but there is way more emotion to these characters. Texas and Kitt grew up with different backgrounds. Kitt was raised by his grandparents, and Texas by her father, after impregnating a groupie. Yes, her father is a Rock Band legend, and that is how Kitt and Texas meet. There is tension, tears, laughter, and just plain "cry your ugly cry" points in this book, but I couldn't have it any other way.

I generally enjoy Natasha Preston with her mystery/thriller books. As for her teen fiction novels I just don't have a pull to read them.

I've tried to read a couple different ones, but just can't seem to get past the grammar mistakes, different meanings and the fact that they are set in the UK.

Not saying that's bad, just that I have a harder time grasping what certain phrases are said and why some sentences don't seem like they belong at all to the stories.

Couldn't get past chapter 1. That's why there's no star review.

I think I Got A Toothache From The Sweetness in This Book

OK this book has some seriously unrealistic fantasies about what happens when bands are on tour and how they actually tour but if you can get past that it’s a cute read. The chemistry between Texas and Kitt is excellent. I loved their banter and playfulness. My biggest issue was I felt like the ending was rushed and not near as thought out as some of the earlier parts of the story. Even with the rushed ending it was still a fun read.

i really liked it until she started acting like a bitch. all of the sudden shes not sure of kitt or thwir relationship after so many times she said nothing would break them apart. and then she leaves and breaks up with him . stupid.
then the whole mother daughter bonding time. "lets get naked and forget i nwver wanted to be like you, im knowing myself real fast and i want to model!" (rolling eyes.)

now ,anyone know about milos and lexi story when is coming out?

Firstly, the banter in this book is hilarious, I was laughing half the time. This is why I gave the story 4 stars. Cooper is your typical rockstar, and I loved his character thoroughly. What bothered me about this book was the over-the-top romance between Kitt and Texas. It was over dramatic way too often, and their fights got old and annoying. I get that couples fight, but this was excessive and unnecessary.

Amazing book

Kitt and Texas are such a cute couple. I really enjoyed reading this book. It saddens me that this book is not part of a series because I'm sure that Milo and Cooper could have great stories of there own. This is the first book I read by Natasha Preston. I'm going to be looking at her other books next. This book was amazing.

Started ok

I liked the first half and then it just got stupid. She pursued him and then dumped him over stupid stuff. She never thought of his feelings and the conversations got even more dumber as she was making drama. The first part was funny and I didn't mind the girl but would I read this book again? No.

Fun, sweet and a little hot.

A packed read.
Texas, a little naive, sassy, full of fire and wears her heart on her sleeve. Kitt, lead singer, total player until he realises how much he loves Tex and then he's all in. The whole bunch are fun and hopefully get their own stories.

Rockstar read with a difference!
What a fab jammed packed read about up and coming Rock Star Kitt Daniels who is just about to go on his first tour with his band Filthy Sound.
Alongside their band they are being supported by well known Rock Band Engima who brings along daughter of their main man Texas.
Both strong charcters who just cant find the words to admit how they actually feel about each other .... can they be more than friends or will the lifestyle go against them?
Love the banter that goes on with all these characters involved and would love to read the stories of the other band members Milo and Cooper!
Great fun read that leaves you wanting more and more!

Overall i think the romance was amazing and how long they kept their love a secret. I love how slow we got to see their love grow and how they both found out about liking each other was super cute.

yep here comes a but....

I wish there was something else that tore them apart not just because Texas “changed” in just a month being without Kitt. I thought the girl who was pregnant could’ve been the one. it sounded more realistic and perfect for their story line. BUT they didn’t make it big enough.

it made sense because Kitt was sleeping around before Texas came in the picture. The girl being pregnant was perfect timing too. I just wish it was big enough to make their love stronger by having a huge fight over this girl being pregnant with his baby.
