Rating: 2.5 This was an odd story. It felt like whole parts of the book were missing. The pacing started out even and then started speeding ahead in fits and starts. Things were suddenly just there and other things were never explained. The concept was a good one but the execution was very uneven. I may try the next one in the series to see if the issues get worked out (I can do this risk free on Kindle Unlimited or I wouldn't try).

Love the cover and I love the concept, but I feel like this should have been at least twice as long as it is. It feels like huge sections are missing and everything was only surface deep. There's a whole huge world here that can be explored and I feel like we barely even touched the surface.
