Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary

Rate this book
AT STAKE: THE FUTURE OF AMERICA

The 2016 election is truly America's Armageddon—the ultimate and decisive battle to save America, a fight to defeat Hillary Clinton and the forces seeking to flout our constitutional government and replace it with an all-powerful president backed up by an activist judiciary that answers to no one. Already President Obama has moved America far down this path, and a President Clinton will act as his "third term," institutionalizing the excesses of the past eight years. In Armageddon, bestselling author and political strategist Dick Morris provides a winning game plan to take back the White House, and America. Because this is our last chance:

• Our last chance to stop socialist uniformity, corruption and executive usurpation
• Our last chance to curb welfare programs that are destroying the economic and social fabric of the nation
• Our last chance to secure our border and keep our sovereignty
• Our last chance to stand up against ISIS and terrorism
• Our last chance to protect the Second Amendment

We can do it. We must. It's our last chance. Read Armageddon, or risk losing the battle to save America!

On Tuesday, November 8, 2016, American voters will make a momentous decision.

They will decide whether or not this great country will remain a free market, constitutional democracy. The stakes could not be higher.

If Hillary Clinton is elected president, it will mean the end of the America we know and love.

Armageddon, by New York Times bestselling authors Dick Morris and Eileen McGann, is a call to arms, a call to join that ultimate battle.

Few know Hillary Clinton better than Dick Morris. For almost two decades he served as a special adviser to both her and her husband, Bill Clinton. He knows their strengths, their vulnerabilities, and even their deepest secrets.

In Armageddon, Morris offers a manual on how to win this battle and defeat Hillary once and for all. He argues that a typical Republican campaign won’t work—and that Hillary’s opponent must strike her in a very unorthodox and powerful way.

Morris says it’s a winning strategy and voters play a critical role.

A noted political strategist, Dick Morris has created winning strategies for numerous presidential campaigns in the U.S. and abroad. In this book he lays out a war plan, one the Republican nominee must use to prevent her victory:

• Throw a surprising right jab: terrorism and healthcare
• Throw the left hook: jobs, immigration, Wall Street
• Play her game on class warfare: women, Latinos, and young voters

Republicans need to stop playing by the old rules of the game. Those rules don’t work—they elected Barack Obama twice. Obama has changed America in fundamental ways and Morris posits that Hillary’s opponents need to grasp this and implement a strategy that can finally defeat her.

Quite convincing. Dick Morris, and his wife Eileen McGann, lay out the crimes and misdeeds of Hillary and Bill in some detail. An apt quote from McGann’s Introduction says, “Just imagine [the Clintons and their] ...unqualified and greedy cronies and her money-grubbing family members running our country, ruining our country, as they financially pad their pockets.” Why? Because, in more or less chronological and not nearly exhaustive order:

– Lying is Hillary’s modus operandi, even in mundane matters. She claims she saw discrimination on her middle school soccer team when there was no such team, her four grandparents were immigrants when only one was, and she was named for Edmund Hillary who first summited Mount Everest six years after she was born (when he was unknown).
– Hillary lied about how she transformed $1,000.00 into $100,000.00 in the cattle futures market, which was actually a bribe to get Tyson Chicken favorable treatment in Arkansas.
– She tried to get Morris himself to lie about a physical assault on him by Bill Clinton.
– Hillary lied about being instrumental in firing White House Travel Office government employees on fabricated grounds to steer the travel business to her supporter, Harry Thomasson.
– She lied about being the attorney involved in a fraudulent real estate transaction known as “Whitewater.”
– Every one of the women who accused Bill Clinton of sexual abuse while he was in the White House was eventually audited by the IRS.
– Her brothers, Tony and Hugh, solicited and often procured pardons from Bill and visas for Chinese cyberspies in exchange for six figure fees.
– When she left the White House she stole the furniture and the china.
– She said she left the White House “dead broke” when she had an income of $10 million.
– She said she landed in Bosnia under sniper fire and ran with her head ducked down, when in fact she was met by a girl who gave her a poem.
– Bill took a pledge of $130 million to the Clinton Foundation from Frank Giustra for help in getting a Kazakhstan mining concession.
–She lied about conditions in Libya to justify overthrowing Kaddafi.
– Hillary had all the warnings, including explosives and threats launched at the Benghazi facilities for months, did nothing, and then crafted and spread the lie that a video caused the attack that killed Americans, just to protect Obama’s story that he was successful in the Middle East leading up to the 2012 election.
– She lied about why she got a secret email server and whether she had classified information on it.
– She supported the Muslim Brotherhood here (hosting it at the State Department) and in Egypt (urging the pro-American military to surrender power to the Brotherhood).
– Hillary approved the sale of 20% of America’s uranium deposits to Russia after Bill collected $500 thousand for a speech in Moscow.
– Bill and Hillary took millions in speaking fees from banks and foreign governments before, during, and after she was in office and, no doubt, in anticipation of further office-holding.
– Bill and Hillary (while she was Secretary of State) ran things in Haiti either through Bill’s appointment as head of the IHRC (the UN Interim Haiti Relief Commission), the Clinton Global Initiative Haiti Relief Fund, or the Bush-Clinton Haiti Fund and there has never been adequate accounting of all of the funds. Tony Rodham received a “gift” of 10,000 acres on which to build housing. [As an aside, Haitian demonstrators have been on television in New York asking where $39,000,000.00 in donations to the Clinton Foundation for Haitian relief went.]

After this catalogue of corruption and influence peddling, the authors lay out the issues on which Hillary is most vulnerable in the 2016 election. They describe it as using “The Right Jab” and “The Left Hook.”

The Right Jab is a combination of these issues:
– terrorism, which Hillary allowed to fester
– Hillary’s anti-Israel policy
– Hillary’s enabling of Iran (by opposing the sanctions and attempting to defeat them and endorsing the horrible Iranian nuclear deal), and
– Hillary’s support for the unpopular disaster known as Obamacare.

The Left Hook is weakening the Obama/Hillary coalition group by group by:
– winning the white working class who’ve suffered flat or declining wages by:
– – using the issues of trade and bringing the jobs back home
– – correcting China’s cheating on trade agreements and currency manipulation
– – reversing NAFTA, stopping TPP which Hillary helped negotiate and TISA which covers trade in services, is NAFTA on steroids, and would make international bureaucrats’ decisions on trade supreme over those of our courts, our Congress, and our President
– – controlling illegal immigration in order to support our labor markets and wages by using border security, deportation, and an E-verify system to stop illegal immigrants from getting jobs, and
– – breaking up the cabal of big banks, Washington lobbyists, and the Federal Reserve by bringing back Glass-Steagall and showing the Clintons at the center of it all, and
– gaining votes of women and blacks by supporting freedom of choice in education, as Scott Walker did in Wisconsin.

The authors present a lengthy and enlightening array of facts, figures, and anecdotes to make their case in an easy to read, entertaining way. Really good.

It should be noted that the titular armageddon refers to Morris' literal belief that the world will end if Hillary Clinton is elected President of the United States of America. So you know from page one that you're looking at an even-handed, carefully-weighted analyses.

This book is HILARIOUS. Morris' writing style is tantamount to a large club being used to bludgeon any left-leaning ideology out of a person. His prose is nonexistent, 35-40% of this book is solely hyperbolic fear-mongering and scare tactics, and the rest is unfounded and unsourced (or it might as well be *COUGH*BREITBART*COUGH*). Even if you don't like or trust Clinton, this book is so thuggish, insulting, and caustically aggressive that it comes off more offensive than anything.

Perhaps the most concerning element of this book is that Morris refuses to acknowledge his role in creating the Clinton machine. He does not give background on his tenure as one of Bill Clinton's most trusted advisor (in which Morris urged him to take a more centrist position on several key policy issues). He makes occasional references to his time as an advisor, but only instances that reflect poorly on the Clintons on a personal level, such as examples of their notorious tempers. He criticizes Hillary for living a life on the public dime, with everything paid for by taxpayers, but doesn't acknowledge that his work getting and keeping Bill in office has a direct correlation with the Clintons living that life. He criticizes Clinton for rescinding the Glass-Stegall act, which was a popular push on the part of Republicans in the 90s (and admittedly had a lot of bi-partisan support)...but we're to believe that Republican Morris would not have pushed him to make the choice to support that effort? He certainly doesn't mention where he stood on that bill. He also doesn't disclose why he and the Clintons are no longer working together or what led to their falling out. Without that context, this entire treatise comes off like the petty name-calling and childish revenge fantasy that it is.

The root of virtually all of Morris' arguments is that Clinton is -- in his words -- a slimy, calculating liar who has never told the truth about anything since she's been in the public eye. Also:

-He insists that she is simultaneously unqualified for the position and also such an arch, clever, experienced politician that she can get away with anything.
- He talks at length about how she doesn't have the experience to do the job, yet also says she was intimately involved in everything that happened with her husband's administration.
- He constantly insists her presidency will lead to at least one more catastrophic war with no evidence to back that up aside from the fact that she, like most politicians, voted to go to war after 9/11. Oh, and the now-priceless canard that she is solely responsible for the creation of ISIS.
- She is the wrong choice because she flip flops and changes views on issue. Certainly Trump has never done that. Nope. No. Not ever.
- He says she's not qualified because she has no idea what the life of an average American is like because she's been in a position of power since the mid-90s, that she has paid staff who look after every detail of her life and cater to her every whim. Well, certainly Donald Trump is the perfect example of an average American then, right? He EARNED his money, unlike Hillary (no mention of the fact that he started out in business with a very-healthy-for-the-time $1 million loan from his "1%-er" father, a slum lord as notorious as he was wealthy).

It isn't much better when he talks about how Trump can beat Hillary. When talking about the turnout in the last election, he cites a drastically lower turnout but doesn't acknowledge the efforts by the right to gerrymander districts and suppress certain swaths of voters.

He says terrorism will be the number one issue of the campaign, or at least that will be the area where Clinton will be most vulnerable. He also completely whitewashes 9/11 out of existence, claiming terrorism has been infinitely worse during Obama's time in office because (excluding 9/11) there have been more American people killed by terrorism in America than while George W. Bush was in office. HOW CAN YOU MAKE 9/11 AN EXCEPTION?????????????????

He talks about the mistakes Mitt Romney made in the last election campaign, a section that is frankly hard to follow because the mistakes he's citing sound exactly like most of what Trump has done during his campaign so far.

While discussing the problem of immigration, Morris makes the astoundingly jingoistic claim, "There are 7 billion people on the world; most of them want to come (to America). And why wouldn't they?" GOSH. Where to start? I can't speak for the entire world, but I feel pretty confident 6,999,000,000 would never even consider it. Oops, there I go making a Dick Morris-like argument!

He also argues that most American-born Latinos are against immigration. Which may be true, but it's hard to believe it when he cites surveys with ludicrously loaded and suggestive questions, like "Do you agree that illegal immigrants are wrong for trying to take advantage of the benefits of American citizenship without being required to pay taxes?" (not a verbatim example, but close enough)

I could go on, but I'm working myself into a lather.

I don't have a horse in American politics and I am not a partisan person AT ALL. But if you want insight into either of these candidates or a reasoned, measured analyses of this presidential race this is not the place to find it. This is petty back-biting and not much else.

Don't waste you money

I am not a Hillary supporter and will not vote for her and I need to admit that I quit reading this book after ten percent of it.

I have read several of the anti-Clinton books, such as Clinton Cash; and chose to read this book because of Morris' history with the Clintons. This book reveals a strong contempt for the Clintons which may be justified (but I have to wonder about his own integrity since he worked for them for a considerable time), but it relies on broad, unsubstantiated attacks and at least one outright false accusation (he says Bill Clinton was convicted of a misdemeanor).

Regarding Trump, he appears to have drunk the Trump kool-ade. He just repeats Trumps broad attacks on immigration, trade agreements, etc., but offers no more details or support than Trump does.

From his tv appearances, I thought Morris was a hard-nosed, practical politician; but in this book he appears to be mainly interested in selling books to Trump supporters.

It is truly shocking when you see so much of her (and his) corruption summarized in one place. Dick Morris is right, and right-on when he says time is her enemy. People do tend to let the impact of a scandal diminish over time. Issues like White-water and her mistreatment of the many women abused by Bill and even the Monica Lewinsky issue were before the time of many of today's voters.
We need to question why anyone would even want...OR FEEL THE NEED for the secrecy of a privacy E-Mail server. She knew it was not only wrong but violated our National Security, was often advised against it, and did it anyway. And then lied about it...And then tried to hide AND DESTROY evidence.
Her record on Education, supporting the Unions and Teachers at the penalty of Quality Education for our Children is disgraceful. Her only concern for the Economy is Her Economy...how much will it benefit her personal economy. The phenomenal Bribes she and Bill get in the guise of speaking fees is criminal and Treasonous.
Her goal of driving the United States of America into Socialism is very close to being realized. It's becoming clear another Revolution may become necessary for our "American Way" to be restored.

"After all sometimes guilt or innocents hangs on what the definition of 'is' is"
WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?!?!?!

Ugh, I really need to start researching books a little more before I read them! I thought this was going to be about how apathy and other mistakes could lead to a nightmarish Trump presidency, but no, apparently Hillary is the Antichrist! Nothing in this book makes any since! It almost seems like a parody. I can't wait til this election is over!

Yet another intriguing & thought provoking selection pertaining to the current presidential race in America. I have now completed all three volumes currently on the NYT nonfiction BEST SELLERS list. While I am not usually outspoken when it comes to politics, I am thankful to have experienced all three of these editions. We, as Americans, can no longer afford to sit back & allow the news media to loll us into a trance. Researching and becoming informed...as well as following through with the vote is of utmost importance for our future as a country. My research will continue. Thanks to Dick Morris & Eileen McGann for writing such a thought provoking volume!

Dick Morris must still be mad about getting fired over his hooker listening in on President Clinton's phone calls. Interesting book, lots of questionable references from the likes of Breitbart

First, I'm rating this as a non-fiction book, NOT a work of literature. Lately I am very stingy with my four-star ratings, but as a non-fiction book, I give this high praise.

The book that's all the rage right now--and which I read before this one--is Shattered-The "truth" behind Hillary Clinton's Doomed Campaign. Since its authors are avowed liberals, of course they are on the lecture and media circuit getting praised every which way for their "reporting" of the Clinton campaign. To be fair, Armageddon was published last year, long before the events of last summer, and long before the election. However, I do not recall ANY attention from the press to Dick Morris or this book, save Fox News. Between the two, Armageddon is a MUCH better book...a much better read, filled with far more accurate and relevant information about Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

I want to be clear, because I have no doubt that since Dick Morris was a former Democrat, and the architect behind Bill Clinton's triangulation and ultimate re-election in 1996, that he has been and will continue to be accused of having an axe to grind with the Clintons. The reality is that this is not a "tell all" expose of all the Clinton scandals (though undoubtedly at least a cursory mention is made of most of the major scandals through the years, but the tone isn't one of anger and spite). Indeed, anyone who bothers to write that kind of a novel today is wasting his/her time, since the Clinton scandals are so numerous and so ingrained in our public consciousness that we all already know all we care to about that. No, this book is a "how to" guide for beating Hillary Clinton, and while the subject matter may seem irrelevant at this point, since Trump has already trounced Clinton and is president, I have to admit that I was shocked by what I learned in this book, and indeed gained a much greater respect for Dick Morris as not only a political operative, but a great historian. He demonstrates acute knowledge of the issues that were most important to Americans during this past election. I would submit that if Hillary Clinton had read this book before and during the campaign, she would have been armed with the information she needed to counter Trump, and beat him. But, to condescend to read a book by Dick Morris, who she clearly despises, would have been unthinkable for Hillary. The reality is that Dick Morris predicted, in EVERY SINGLE WAY, the issues that Trump used to beat Hillary. Nostradamus has nothing on Dick Morris. I found myself just shaking my head and saying "how the heck did he know this?" Every issue, from immigration, to school choice, to tax cuts, to Wall Street, to scandals--I have no doubt that Donald Trump read and studied this book throughout the campaign, and designed it around the strategies Dick Morris promulgated in this book.

"Shattered" provides a biased account of Hillary's colossal defeat, and as it does so, it absolves her from "almost" all responsibility. What "Armageddon" does is detail the breadth and depth of Hillary's corruption, but more, it analyzes point by point her weaknesses as a candidate, and how Trump could exploit them. This novel is as relevant today as it was a year ago. The talking points and issues will continue to matter to Americans in elections going forward, and if any Democratic candidate wants to know how at least to attempt to pierce Trump's armor, all he or she need do is read this book, because Dick Morris exposes the hypocrisy and colossal weaknesses of the modern-Democrat's positions, and, as they say, knowledge is power. Now, Morris no doubt would not like to think that his book would be helpful to Democrats, but the brilliance here is that following Morris' advice will lead to a greater America for all its inhabitants, and in that way, this book is invaluable as a guide for anyone interested in bringing back the values that have made America the greatest country on earth for over 200 years.

N.B. Listening to an audiobook should not count toward the Reading challenge. Reading is reading. Listening is listening. They are not the same thing.

This book is an effective demonstration of just how stupid the American people can be. I started reading it after Trump won the election, hoping to find something in it that would mitigate (in my mind) the disaster that had just occurred. I did not find that; the entire book is an expose of Hillary Clinton and makes mere mentions of Trump or his statements or policies. The brief references to Trump are assertions that Trump is very intelligent, with soundbites of Trump making a general statement and then the author's explanation about the hidden meaning in Trump's words that displays Trump's insight, intelligence and understanding of the role of the government and productive policies. Essentially, the author is positing his own policy ideas, which are well-thought out, onto Trump's very general statements. In this way, the author reminded me of a biblical scholar engaged in exegesis, finding meaning in every letter, every vowel, and even the cantillation of a particular text.

I'm giving the book 3 stars because it is well-written and it did help me to understand why Trump won the election. Trump won the election because Americans are both stupid and racist. Americans really disliked Hillary and were willing to turn a blind eye to the human turd that is Donald Trump in order to prevent Hillary from entering the White House (again). To that, I would say that the Hillary criticism are well laid out and reasonable. But, given the complete lack of any close examination into Trump, there is no attempt whatsoever for this to be a balanced examination of the candidates. However, the author never said he was looking to evaluate the candidates fairly. He stated that this was the strategy for Trump to win, and indeed it worked. Trump made mountains out of every Hillary scandal (and there are many Hillary scandals, notwithstanding that Trump has many worse scandals of his own) and appealed to the segment of American society that hates minorities and immigrants as well as the many Americans who prefer empty rhetoric and blind hope over actual plans/solutions. The book plainly spelled out that it was to Trump's advantage to make it clear that immigrants are not welcome in this country, Muslims are not welcome in this country, and minorities are not welcome. Essentially, the book encouraged the Republican Party in general and Trump in particular to cross that line between implied racism/xenophobia to explicit racism/xenophobia as a strategy for winning the campaign. So 3 stars for effectively conveying just how this piece of human excrement could win an election by appealing to the dark side of the American people.

At last a concise account of the real Hillary is described in vivid easy to understand passages. Putting Hillary in the white house is to send this country down the path the 3rd world like governance - corruption.

I read this book eight months after the presidential election of 2016, not expecting any surprises because the thesis of the book is clearly revealed in the sub-title. My interest was in locating any evidence to support the hate-filled diatribe of that election campaign.

While the authors take no effort to conceal their political bias, the evidence they promise is not as overwhelming as we were led to expect. Clearly, Hillary Clinton does not possess the character traits of honesty, integrity and truthfulness I want to see in my president but the inside information, while confirming those undesirable behavioral traits, often resorts to personal dislike of Hillary and Bill Clinton and Batak Obama.

A summary statement reveals the unsurprising content: "The list of her negatives is so long as to be daunting and her record is so filled with evidence of corruption, incompetence, receipt, prevarication, inconsistency, self-dealing and cover-ups as to make her practically unelectable."

Of course deranged Conservatives love this book. When Roger Stone calls you a shill, you know you're pond scum - and that's exactly what Roger Stones considers Dick Morris to be. Morris has no principles of his own, and will prostitute himself to the highest bidder. I don't believe a word he says and he deserved to be shamed.

With an extremely volatile election right around the corner, I am trying to learn as much as I can about the candidates. I felt the book knocked Hilliary's decisions while she was in a position of political power but it does not reflect that Trump has made no political decisions yet because he has never been in the position to do so (which I have heard many times since the debates have begun). This is not anything new.

The book talks about the Republicians trying to get more grass roots, poor, Americans back to their party and away from the Democratic party and that Trump could relate more than Hilliary can because she was born into wealth and lives a wealthy lifestyle. Sorry, but I don't think Trump is living on hotdogs either.

Trump wants to ban all Muslims from America because some of them have caused problems. Well, I hope he doesn't start banning all Irish folk, because I might be on that list.

The book goes on to talk about how middle income has not increased and how it works in Wall Street, the Federal Reserve and with tax shelters. All of this is good information. I hope if Trump does get elected, he can fix some of our financial worries. We definitely need help fixing our debt.

It ends with saying that if we elect Hilliary, it will mean the end of American as we know and love. Obviously this was written by a Trump follower.

I respect everyone's decision to vote for who they feel is the best candidate. We all need to stay informed all the way to election day.

Dick Morris' inside and intimate knowledge is once again riveting. The book, rather than a hit piece, is a well articulated blue print of not only what Donald Trump needs to do to win, but why Hillary is such an incredibly bad choice to lead our country. He details she is a hawk at heart and we will go to war. His analysis of our Libya and Syria policy paints a different picture of what went on between her and Obama and even more troubling is her indebtedness to all of the folks and corporations and some of our enemies who have donated to the Clinton Foundation. What I left from reading the book is if all of this is out there, what is the Justice Department doing? Very good and easy read....

The author of this book, Dick Morris, is a political consultant who knows the Clintons well. Here he has offered a well supported argument explaining why Hillary Clinton would be one of the most corrupt presidents in history and how she can be beaten. In his words, "We know all too well what a Hillary Clinton presidency would look like: four long years of another bizarre Clinton administration, featuring the Clintons' signature style of endless drama, interminable scandals, constant lies, blatant cronyism and corruption, incessant conflicts of interest, nepotism, pathological secrecy, hatred of the press, his and her enemies lists, misuse of government power, inherent paranoia, macho stubbornness, arrogant contempt for the rule of law, nutty gurus, and thirst for war."

Good Book, before you cast a vote you should read this book. I am not a big Trump supporter but I will vote for him before I will Clinton. TRUMP might be rude and crude but I believe he truly loves his country, where as the Clintons are just out for what they can get no matter the cost to the American people, her and her family will always be protected by men with guns so she don't care if she puts the rest of us in danger. the claim that she is all for women is a load of crap after what her husband has done to women and she protected him and I believe he will do it again. the young interns in the WH would not be safe around him.

I didn't have great expectations for this book, but it turned out to be excellent. Morris spends little time not the usual stuff about Hillary, no need for extensive rehash of what is in the news daily. Where this book shines is in its detailed history of Clinton-Obama policies and their effect on our country. One particularly useful piece was the actual Wall Street connection and its effect on our overall economy. He also provides enlightening details on the various trade agreements and their effects on our labor market.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in understanding what is truly at stake in this coming election.

The political environment over the past few decades makes it impossible to determine who is telling the truth about anything. What I find intriguing about this book is that the author was a political advisor to Bill Clinton who is now lambasting his wife in her run for President. If only some of the narrative is true, it sends a clear message that this woman is totally unfit to be President. Infact, she should be in prison. All people who intend to vote for this woman should read this book. It's a definite eye-opener.

This book is a must for Independent, Democrat, Libertarian and young voters who want true documentation for why Mrs. Clinton cannot be allowed to run this country. Open up your minds and think if you want a woman is a pathological liar, a crook. In cahoots with Russia, China and makes over $30,000,000 between her and Bill for speeches during a sixteen month period while she is running for The Presidency !!! If that doesn't stir you up read about the Foundation. For the sake of this country please read this book.

Armageddon by Dick Morris gives a strategy into how Donald Trump can upset one of the biggest political machines in American history. Morris begins the book discussing the reasons Clinton should not be president. After discussing the reasons, he transitions into strategies the Trump campaign can use to court more voters. Overall, a great read and strategy.
