Lydia, a self-employed young hooker in Chicago, adapted quite easily to the grimy life of prostitution. She's a few bangs away from meeting her financial goal, when one of her high paying john's Max, confesses that he's madly in love with her. Max offers her things that she's only dreamed of; like free unconditional love. When she falls victim to her lifestyle, but refuses to give it up, Max takes matters into his own hands, and blackmails her into choosing to turn her life around instead of choosing to turn tricks for the rest of her life. He strips her of the one thing that she loves and takes her to a rehabilitation center called Stop turning tricks institute; ran by an ex-pimp turned Preacher named Pastor Prentice Passion. Lydia must complete the Unhooking hoes 12 step program before she can reclaim her most prized possessions. In this romantic comedy, author Obsession delivers a humorous story of a young girl’s quest to discover if loving herself and someone else is worth retiring her hooker heels.
Obsession is a dynamic storyteller known for crafting emotionally charged narratives that blend the intensity of romance, the sensuality of erotica, and the suspense of domestic thrillers. Her work invites readers into complex worlds where passion runs deep, secrets unravel slowly, and no one is ever quite who they seem.
With a distinctive voice and a talent for unforgettable twists, Obsession writes stories that linger long after the final chapter. Whether exploring fated love, untamed desire, or life-altering betrayal, her characters are as compelling as the journeys they take.
Her goal is simple: to keep you turning pages — and leave you thinking long after you’ve finished.
This wasn't what I expected when I read the reviews . First it the characters where not developed just hence of their back round . What made me want to read it where the five stars reviews . Don't get me wrong there is some humor into the story but for me there is nothing funny about a pastor that talks about being delivered from his pimping ways and the only thing that seems to change was he stopped pimping woman . The way he brought forth the word to healing was not how I call would call healing his flock . Just me I skipped most of the ending to much didn't laugh much either
Just finished reading "UNhooked: A twisted love story: Interracial romantic comedy"; eyes are burning from tears, stomach hurts from laughing so hard. In short...this reader is WEAK!!! Obsession has crafted a story that is stoopid funny. Haven't laughed this hard since watching Martin Lawrence's sitcom, way back in the day.
BRAVO! With Love, romance, poetry and lots of hilarious LOL scenes with ex-pimp turned Pastor Prentice Passion..."Unhooked; A twisted love story" is a short story with depth! I was so satisfied, I felt like I'd read a full novel! I just hope this isn't the last we hear from crazy Pastor Passion :-)
