Love Letter #1

Invisible Love Letter

Rate this book
Love is fatal; a snake that slithers into your life, poisons you with its venom, and leaves you there to die. I swore I wouldn’t be my parents. I swore I would stay away from the limelight. Falling in love with a musician was definitely out of the question. Weston Carter was all kinds of wrong for a girl like me. He was musician, a womanizer, and a first class heartbreaker. I didn't know a love like this could exist. Our love was epic, the kind people wrote stories about. We fell into it hard, unable to control our feelings. I set myself up for a shattered heart. A broken life. A fucked up love story.

If you really want to know what I think, here's my unfiltered review https://prettymessreading.wordpress.c...

Oh, my dear Emilia. Gosh I love you. I hate you too. No, I don’t really hate Emilia.

Let me tell you a little something, something about Emilia that will help you understand her actions. – Her father was a rock star and loved her mother fiercely.
Love is fatal: a snake that slithers into your life, poisons you with its venom and leaves you there to die. I swore I wouldn’t be like my parents. – Emilia

Her fathers intense love for her mother is the same love that left her an orphan at eleven years old. That kind of love is something Emilia wants nothing to do with. But love doesn’t give a shit about your feelings, it will find you eventually. Love found it’s way into Emilia’s life in the form of Weston Carter.

In all fairness, Emilia tried her best not to give her heart to Weston but he had no intention of taking no as an answer. I loved Weston and everything about him. I was so happy when Emilia decided to stop playing hard to get.

I understood her hesitation, her mother died of cancer and less than a year later her father kills himself. It must have been hard at 11 years old to realize that your father couldn’t live for you but would die for your mother.
I wouldn’t fall in love because I was a girl who didn’t believe and love conquered all. Love was a liar. It was created to hurt you and tear you apart. – Emilia

Now let us get the good shit…

What the fuck was going on in Emilia’s head to make her think it is okay to keep a man’s child a secret? Are you serious right now?

Is he abusive? No.

Is he a drug addict or alcoholic? No.

Do you hate him? No.

Do you think he would be a horrible father? No.

Does he love you more than anything in the world? Yes.

Then why the fuck did you keep this man away from he’s child? Last time I checked it takes two to make a baby. Every time you have sex you run the risk of having a baby. He knew that just as much as Emilia. He had the right to know that he was going to have a child. He had the to make his own decision about what he wanted to do. Emilia had no right to take that choice away from Weston. My heart broke for him.

That choice, to hide Weston's baby would come back and bite Emilia in the butt. Now, let's see her try to get herself out of this one. You'll love it, trust me.

This book is awesome and it has my feelings all over the place. I'm sleepy too, so that doesn't help. I can't wait to read book 2 because I need some closure.

I don’t really know how to end this review because the story isn’t finished. I guess that means neither is my post. I’m going to leave it on a cliffhanger since that's what the author did to me!!! :)

Not to take away from the author’s writing, but it’s been awhile since I have read a story where I have hated every thought, every action, by the heroine. I didn’t realize how lucky I was this year until I met Emilia.

description

I can’t think of one thing I actually liked about this heroine. Not one blessed thing. Emelia hates love, hates musicians but proceeds to fall for the wonderful Weston. Weston made her his world and as a reader I thought that perhaps that was enough.

”Love. It’s a poison that never leaves your soul. He was my poison. He was my soul.”

description

Emilia had to use antibiotics and well that’s all I have to say and a reader will know what happens next. She proceeds to breakup with Weston claiming she doesn’t love him and the story goes forward four years later.

Emelia’s still a complete moron and now has a wrangled a guy named Jeremy along for the ride with her Surprise, surprise she’s headed back to work and has landed a new client… guess who?

”A few hours ago Jeremy was proposing, and now I was back in love with Weston. This couldn’t be happening.”

description

Weston is still madly in love with Emilia, and has no clue about her secret and we wait for her to wake the hell up while Weston still pours his heart out to her.

description

Emelia makes her decision, her secret comes out and the epilogue is set one year later. Sadly, I could care less about what happens to her in the future and I love angsty books. Also, I hadn’t a clue that this wasn’t a standalone. Where is the #1 next this book? Anyways, for fans of this story the next book is due in January good luck for those going further!!

I hate Emilia. There I said it. I don’t feel any better.

I am going to try to put my thoughts together in a way that makes sense, but being that my kindle barely survived this read, I can’t guarantee anything.

We meet Emilia, who after her parent’s died moved to Brazil to live with her aunt, but returns to the States to do a semester abroad. This is where she meets Weston (swoon) the night before she’s about to go home.

Weston is the type of guy that Emilia refuses to date. Musician and player – too much like her father in the music department and unwilling to get lost in the life of a man in the spot light like her mother did.

But when she returns to the states for good, Weston slowly works his way under her skin, showing her that he isn’t quite the guy she thought he was. Thus begins their love affair... moments filled with these fantastic scenes and swoonworthy moments as Weston stole your heart. And then Emilia happens. She makes a really BAD mistake and continues to make that mistake over and over again.

There are a few hard limits I have as a reader and Emilia hit one dead on. I wanted to strangle her. The angst was out of control. The type of out of control that requires venting to fellow readers, the type of venting that doesn’t calm you down – just gets you more worked up. So yeah, I hate her. But you know what? I loved this story. I loved Weston. I loved the angst and I love that I hated the character so much that I want horrible things to happen to her.

This is not a standalone. Second book is due out in early 2016 (Jan), so I might die waiting for closure, resolution or retribution... all work.

I find it pretty amazing that this author was able to take something that typically makes me hate a book and creates this angst fueled romance that has me counting down the seconds until the next book.

If you like angsty reads, perfect heroes and don’t mind plotting the death of the heroine, check this out. It is worth the read, the almost broken kindle and all the swear words that are going to fly out of your mouth.

"When you smile, it's as though the universe has given me a gift. I feel you can see into my soul and touch it."

Invisible Love Letter is the kind of book that you read and then stays with you long after you are finished. Why you may ask? Well, let me explain.

First of all, the hero Weston, is absolutely amazing. He is the type of guy that you wish you could meet for yourself in real life. Yeah, he may be a musician and may come across as a womanizer, but he is anything but. The way he feels for our heroine, Emilia, is so adorable that you can't help but swoon at every thing he says to her.

The romantic parts in this book (sex scenes included) were not just sweet and adorable, but HOT as well! Whew!

The story is one that has been told a billion times before, but it is told in such a way that you can't help but hope for nothing short of a happy ending...for the hero at least.

description

Yep, and this leads me to the reason why I rated this novel 4 stars and not 5 stars. That's simple- the heroine Emilia. I legit could not stand her. Her reason in the beginning for not wanting Weston is simply because he is a musician and she doesn't want to end up like her mother.

"Love and music are a deadly combination. But impossible to avoid. I was setting myself up for a shattered heart. A broken life. A fucked up love story.

Now let me reiterate again, Weston was AMAZING with her. He proved to her time and time again that he is a man who is trustworthy and loyal, and yet, it wasn't enough for her. She FINALLY gives him the time of day and then does something so incredibly messed up that I pretty much wished death upon her.

Will I read the next book? OMG YES. There was a cliffhanger in this book that KILLED me and I truly cannot WAIT to read the next book!

This book should come with a warning: protect your kindle, because you are going to want to smash it into tiny pieces, have alcohol on hand, and take your blood pressure meds because your blood will boil in rage.

"Love left you shattered and broken. I wouldn't fall in love because I was a girl who didn't believe love conquered all. Love was a liar. It was created to hurt you and tear you apart. It was designed to make you insane and hurt the people you were supposed to love the most." Yeah, that about sums it up!

Emilia, oh how I despise you! At the beginning of this story, she claims that she's afraid to fall in love because she will only suffer from a broken heart at the hands of someone else's actions. In reality, she should have feared herself. She meets Weston, who at first seems like a player. But once we get to know him and yes, eventually love him, Emilia then takes a turn into crazy town. She makes one selfish, awful choice after another. Everything just snowballed and as I read I just got more and more furious. I don't want to give many details of the plot away, but I will say the second half of this story is FILLED with angst. Those are my favorite types of books, and it's been a long time since a book wrecked me like this one did. And I loved every second of it! This book could probably read as a standalone if you don't read the epilogue. And WTF happened that damn epilogue?! I have no idea, and I am impatiently waiting for the sequel to release in a few months. I can't even imagine how the rest of the story will play out.

Callie Anderson is going to piss a lot of people off with this story. This is not one of those stories where everything gets wrapped up in a nice little bow in the last pages of the book. I applaud her for taking a chance and going against the grain. For writing a story that you think you know how it will play out, and then takes turns in all different directions. It makes me even more of a fan of this debut author. Thank you Callie for this fantastic story!!

Edit: I originally had marked this as 4 stars as soon as I finished the book. It's been a week since I've finished this book and I just can't get over how much I hate the heroine. She's an asshole. There I said it.

Argh! This book drove me nuts! It was so frustrating and the angst almost killed me!

I loved Weston- swoon! He was so sexy and so perfect. Emilia is just selfish - plain and simple! I had BIG issues with how she handled...well, everything! She hurt so many people. All I can say is karma is a bitch.

Sadly, this is another book that ends with a damn cliffhanger. Bring on the next book, because I really need my happy ending!

I stayed up until 4:00 in the morning to finish this book because I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN! But, be warned you might want to protect your E-reader with one of those heavy duty military protectors.

Emilia, how I wish I could have gone inside my Kindle and slap some sense into you. Weston, what a beautiful man; he captured me from the moment they met and then when he wanted Emilia to meet his mother, clincher!!! How he loved..deep..loyal. Jeremy,he loved and he cared unconditionally. My heart hurts for all three.

This is a story full of angst. Emilia decides to go against her own rules and falls hard for Weston. Weston gives his all and they get into this beautiful relationship;but Emilia in the back of her mind doesn't totally give in. She has her fears and she feels that at any moment things will go bad. Her fears create obstacles and then she makes a decision that changes everything.

This story made me cry. There is a lot of pain for all the characters; they are all hurting bad. There is a cliffhanger and we have to wait for book 2. I cannot wait to find out how the story will be resolved. Highly recommend it;be ready to scream and to cry. Get ready for a rollercoaster ride.

So I JUST finished this book and it is taking everything in me not to sound like a spaz, but YOU NEED THIS BOOK!

Emilia and Weston are from the same world. They were MADE for each other and were so perfect it was hard to find flaws when you are rooting so hard for them.

This is the author’s very first published book, but by the writing, you would never know. She has a style that throws you into the story and makes you a part of the world in which she has created. The characters have flaws that any of us could have, and for that reason alone, they are relatable. They could be any one of us, even if their careers are ones that not many of us have any experience in.

To say I loved this story is an understatement. I felt like my heart was ripped out, I was pushed off a cliff and I felt the love of the characters many times over throughout the story. This is one of those books that will stick with me for a long time. There are so many subtle things in this book that have a huge impact on the story, I am still having a hard time wrapping my mind around all the pieces.

After speaking with a friend who also read the book, I knew I had to get this all down in my review right away so the emotions were fresh. So, I am sorry if this sounds like an over excited five year old hopped up on sugar, but the moral of the review is… BUY THIS BOOK, and make time in your schedule to read it because you won’t want to put it down! ~ Devlynn, 5 stars

Review by Lisa Kane

Boy this one ripped my heart out! Great story about Emilia, the daughter of a rock and roll family, who is determined to never get involved with a musician.

Of course the man who comes in and out of her life is Weston, a talented and insanely dynamic musician. In spite of her best intentions, she can't help but fall in love with him. But theirs is not an easy road, and their story is unfinished.

I can't tell much in this review, so I don't spoil a couple of key plot lines. This ends on the mother of all cliffy's and my heart was hurting for more. Hurry up I need my closure!!

Wow I loved this . Emilia and Weston have an epic love story filled with much drama and angst. Emilia is the daughter of a fallen musician. Her past is very tragic. Weston is an up and coming very talented musician in her friends band. When they meet there is no denying they have an incredible connection. The journey with Emilia and Weston is slow burning over a period of time. I loved these characters but at times wanted to smack them. So much angst and beware it ends in a cliffhanger.

So I must admit that I didn't read book 1, Invisible Love Letter, until after it released and because it came highly recommended from my friend Lisa over at Three Chicks and their Books. And I waited to read it because I heard there was such high angst that I had to hold out until I could read both books together back to back. Boy, I am so glad that I waited because WOW! This series! These books! I don't think I have been on a roller coaster like that in such a long time...the feels! The tears! This series broke me; I don't think I have cried like that in such a long time. If I could sum up this series in one word, it would be BREATHTAKING.

So I will try to keep this as short as I can as this is a review for 2 books in this series - Invisible Love Letter and Endless Love Letter.

When we meet Emelia in book 1, she has rules: No falling in love and no musicians.

So imagine my utter surprise and delight, when we are introduced to Weston. Weston is everything she doesn't want yet on her last day in the US before she is to leave the country, she meets him and he makes her feel things she doesn't want to feel.

I fell for Weston right away. You see Weston made me believe in love. He was sweet and romantic and I wanted so badly for Emelia to let him into her heart.

Now without giving anything away about this book - the angst nearly killed me. And there is something that Emelia does that made me want to throttle her. She broke my heart and stomped on it and ripped it into tiny tiny pieces.

Thankfully I didn't have to wait for book 2 and dived right in to Endless Love to find out how it would all play out.

Now Endless Love Letter picks up where book 1 left off. I am completely heartbroken for this couple and all of the secrets that kept them apart.

I will say that this book completely devastated me..obliterated. I won't share one detail as this is a part of Weston and Emelia's journey that you need to experience firsthand and without spoilers to ruin the effect.

All I will say is that sometimes life can be so cruel :(

What I loved about this series was the emotional breakdown I had while reading it. You may think that sounds crazy but I love when my blood boils, when my heart squeezes in my chest from the pain and hurt, and when tears flow freely from my eyes. Why you ask? Well because you know you have a good book in your hands. Callie Anderson did a phenomenal job in creating a story that I not only devoured in a matter of 2 days because life did not exist outside of the pages of these books, but she created a story that I know in my heart I will never forget. Stories like these are why we read - because it shows you how true love, that epic love should be. Yes, sometimes life can be cruel, and nothing is ever easy, but it's the moments you have with your loved ones that make life worth living.

I didn't understand some of Emelia's actions in book 1 but in book 2, I fell in love with her and Weston and their journey that will stay with me for a long time to come <3

WOW!!! Where do I begin, with this story. Amazing debut novel from Callie Anderson cannot wait for Endless Love Letters!!!

From the Prologue to the Epilogue I did not want to put it down, and couldn't. This book grabbed me from the start and kept me till the end. I read it in one sitting.

Weston and Emilia, I love these characters, I hate these characters. I want to hug them, I want to strangle them.

This book was a roller coaster of emotions, and I loved being on this ride. The writing is perfection. I look forward to more work from this author.

If your a lover of drama filled love stories, add this to you TBR.

I need more NOW!!!! Hurry Callie and write faster the cliff hanger killed me!!!

Invisible Love Letter is the debut novel for Callie Anderson. Considering this is Ms. Anderson’s very first book, she’s done a phenomenal job in creating the perfect story with the most angst I have read in a while. You will absolutely hate everyone around you and break your kindle while reading this. If you love books that shred you apart and rip your heart out of your body, then this is PERFECT for you. While I don’t tend to enjoy the heartbreak all the time, Invisible Love Letter was pure perfection for me. You are sure to feel every single emotion along with the characters, this will leave you raw to the very end.

“You’re caring, and you wear your emotions on your sleeve. When you smile, it’s as though the universe has given me a gift. I feel you can see into my soul and touch it.”

“All girls have their flaws, but the one you fall for, the one you’re loyal to, is the one with the least number of dents.”

This is a story about a musician, a sexy talented loving man who gives his heart to a beautiful woman he can’t seem to stay away from. The last thing Emilia ever wants is to fall for a musician. She’s had a life full of musicians and the last thing she will ever do is fall for one. She’s been burned by the tragic past she’s lived through. Sometimes love can’t be turned away. The pull between Weston and Emilia is so strong that nothing can keep the electricity from sparking when they are near each other. Invisible Love Letter is a story of love and heart break, there is happiness, joy, sadness and plenty of tears. The story of Weston and Emilia is absolutely beautiful but also tragic. Sometimes in life, there is a love so beautiful and so strong but it doesn’t always mean happiness.

“He would be the second man to break my heart; my father had been the first. Weston would shatter it to pieces, but I didn’t care. Apparently love made me do insanely stupid things. And he was my love, my stupidity.”

I find myself thinking daily about the love Weston and Emilia shared. I am absolutely hooked. This story touched me so deeply, I felt every single word written in this book, every emotion Emilia and Weston felt, I felt like I was there beside them living through their love. I so badly love a story with a happily ever after, but will Weston and Emilia’s love and faith in each other conquer all? I find myself counting down the days waiting to read Endless Love Letter, January can’t come soon enough. I really need to know how this story ends for two of my favorite fictional characters. Weston will always and forever be a top book boyfriend for me. He’s absolute perfection! Plain and simple, he is swoon worthy, sexy and says the most amazing things that come directly from his heart. Emilia is strong, stupid and very emotional, I still love her and hope for the best. There were times I wanted to rip her hair out and scream at the choices she’s made, but at the same time, I could also understand them. I’ll just quit rambling and tell you to just get on it and read this. This is another one of my favorites this year. Just don’t blame me for having your heart ripped out. Ms. Anderson is to blame for this and trust me, she’s received plenty of hateful messages from me already

When my book friend Linda messaged me one day practically screaming at me to READ THIS BOOK I know she was serious! She works in public relations and it’s not often that she is telling me to drop everything and read this one so I knew I was in for it! I knew at one part it would probably rip my heart out (but Linda knows I love a good heart ripping) and I knew it would be I soon wouldn’t forget! Well after reading I can tell you that this is one that you need to NOW STOP EVERYTHIND AND READ! Invisible Love Letters by Callie Anderson just blew me away! It sucked the life out of me and left me heart broken. I love it when a book brings out so much emotion in the reader and this did if for me! I wanted to strangle Emmy and I wanted to have Weston’s babies! I wanted them to find their happy place but it just seems like things could never be in sync for them.

Emmy knows the rock and roll lifestyle, she was born into it. Her father was a musician and her mother toured with his group. Her parents had to kind of love that is once in a lifetime. They were soul mates and when Emmy’s mother passes away, she saw the devastation first hand that left his father in shambles. She saw how it destroyed him and she vowed never to fall in love, especially with a musician. Even though one of her closest friends is in a band and she works in the music industry she knows to stay far away from falling for one of them. With groupies and drugs, it’s a combination she wants no part of!

Weston… sigh….. Just saying his name makes me all warm and fuzzy! I just loved him! Weston is everything that Emmy thinks she needs to stay away from. He’s the lead singer of a band and he always has different women around him. But Weston is determined to show Emmy how wrong she is. He is determined to have her fall in love with him. Against her better judgment, she opens her heart. They start a passionate love affair you can only dream about.

Just when I’m thinking finally, Weston gets the call that every band dreams of. The band is starting to make it big and Emmy knows first-hand how love can hold back a music career. But she also has a secret that she feels will change everything, that it will ruin Weston’s dreams. So she does the one thing she thinks is best, she sets him free. She tells him they could not be together, that he needs to live his dream and forget about her.

Right about now the kindle throwing starts, the angry messages to the author happen, and I’m left pissed off!!! And then I think to myself, gah… I love it!!!! Fast forward four years and Emmy and Weston’s paths cross again. Being the sucker for true love, I’m so frustrated with Emmy! Why can’t she just let her guard down and open her eyes to how good she and Weston’s love can be???!!! She thinks she is doing the best thing for her and protecting herself when all she is doing is going through the motions of life.

Will they passion they share still be there all these years? What happens when Weston discovers her secret? She has protected herself for years and now in a blink of an eye, her world starts to crumble around her. Will Weston be able to forgive her? You’ll need to read Invisible Love Letter to find out!! 5 huge stars!!!

What a highly addictive superbly written debut novel! This book has exceeded all expectations I had going in. With so many books to choose from out there and a growing TBR list it is hard to decide which books to move up on your list and deciding if you want to go out of your comfort zone and explore a new authors work. Let me tell you deciding to read this book is one of the best choices I have ever made!! My mind has been blown!!!!! I literally could not put this book down!!!!!!
Grab a glass of wine/vodka/ scotch get your Kleenex ready and buckle up for one hell of a ride!

Let me start off with Emilia. I felt very differently about her than others did. Though you may not agree with her decisions through the book I could truly understand why she made them. Do I agree with the decisions made? No, I do not but I can understand why she felt she was making the best decisions at the time. She was purely in my mind doing what was best for everyone she loved and putting them a live her needs and wants. In my opinion that made her a very strong lead character. I genially felt for her character.
Westin..... Oh Wes!!! I am in absolute love with his character!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! However, he is not without blame for making bad decisions. I can not go into details because I don't want to give anything away but..... He left me completely shattered!!! Like curl up in a ball and sob my eyes out shattered!!!! But god how I still love him.

Side characters such as Jeremy and Chelsea, OMG I could not even hate them!!! Dammit!!! I am devastated for all involved!!! The character development in this novel was remarkable. I found myself attached to all characters and shared in their pain.

Even though I have been left brokenhearted... Make that devastated and on edge craving more... I have found a new favorite author to add to my list!! Greatly anticipating the conclusion of their story in Endless Love Letters and seeing where these twists and turns lead us. And by the way I no longer have any nails left...umm or hair.... Or a working kindle... Just saying....

Bravo Callie! You have succeeded in breaking me… I am broken... Lol

Invisible Love Letters is one of my top reads of 2015!!!!! THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ!!!

Ok resuming fetal position now

The author once again not disappoint and I can't wait for more of hers. I personally recommended 100%. Hands down!

2.5 stars-I am not really sure what to write about this book. The heroine was deplorable and without giving anything away, karma is a bitch! Not really sure about an emotional connection between Emilia and Weston, physical yes, but emotionally no, Emilia is far too immature. There is more angst and bad decision making in this book than an episode of "Teen Mom." This book has a cliffhanger (which should be disclosed) and at this point, not sure if I care what happens to Em and Wes. This book also needs another good proofread and a serious wordsmith to edit it.

Every now and then you come across a book that you find yourself moved beyond words when you close the last page.
I could go on and on and on about this book and how it made me feel. But I won't because no matter what I say, it will be nothing that compares to the experience of actually reading this book.
This book has definitely earned a place on my “favorites” shelf and I will absolutely be re-reading it.
Kudos to you! Looking forward to read book 2. ❤️

Outstanding!!!

If you love to be in love this book is it! I kept reading the reviews on this book and decided to go for it. So let me start with my review!

First, I loved the cover of the book. It was perfect for the storyline and I fell in love with the colors as well. Em and Weston WOW, talk about can't get it right. Well we are only human, right...we tend to see everyone else shi@ but not our own.

Epic love story in my opinion. Can't wait to read the next book. I recommend this book to all the romance readers out there!

So I don’t know that I’ve ever really wanted to throw my kindle at the wall, which shocks me. So, as I’m reading Invisible Love Letter and this thought crosses my mind, I was a bit perplexed. For the first time, I truly wanted to toss one of my prized possessions at the wall. For that alone, Invisible Love Letter is a great read. I also don’t know that I’ve ever despised a female character this much. And once again I realize that the face that this story is eliciting this response points again what a great read it is.

So, here is where I’ll declare that Invisible Love Letter is a 2015 MUST READ.

Invisible Love Letter is a rare read where it’s hard to pinpoint what exactly inspired such feelings. The story follows Emilia's a tragic past, losing her mother then losing her father and more than once she says “he loved her more than he loved me” and I get that’s hard on a soul. But what was it about Emmy that drive me to the brink?

I have a real love-hate relationship with Emmy - meaning I LOVE to hate her. It’s almost comical. She’s never all that likeable, but we go into the story assuming she’s simply broken and redeemable. At first, she comes off as kinda bratty - which I’ll give over to her due to age. She’s jealous and acts out, forms an opinion which she then has to rationalize through. Then when things finally seem that they are headed down a good path, Em is headed towards a good life, she makes a complete idiot of herself. She sabotages her relationships, like ALL of her relationships. She makes poor decisions - most of which we can blame on her age, but that’s almost too nice as they are decisions that have such far reaching impacts and E just doesn’t get that it’s not ALL about her.

At about 30% I was anxious about the characters - didn’t really feel like we had Weston's story, and it’s obvious he’s crucial to the storyline. But then as events unfold, turns out we know enough, at least enough to form a positive opinion. I will say I didn't see the "womanizer" side of Weston. He has women around a lot, but he didn't come off as a massive jerk. In fact, I was firmly a fan of Westons' and its her treatment of him that makes Emmy as dislikable as she is. She doesn't want to take responsibility for anything - She lays everything off on Weston. She’s madly in love and terrified, makes poor decisions, then hides her head in the sand for four years. I’m not sure how she does it, but knowing there is likely possibility that he’ll be around (they share mutual friends) Whom she’s also lied to. And it gets worse.

Enter Jeremy. Jeremy is her salvation and I think she doesn't even see it, but she's using him as a way to guard her heart. Its hard to be torn about he leading man thing and with Jeremy, there is reason to not like him. In fact he does so much for her that you do like him, but she doesn’t deserve him at all. Ems lies are staggering and they add up quickly. She thinks if she is not asked the very specific question (which she makes sure no one would), that by not disclosing the whole story, she tells herself and us that she’s not lying. I’ll give Emmy this, she knows she has betrayed everyone, she knows she’s wrong, but undoing so many years of lies is truly going to change life as she knows it. Such delicious drama!

When I finished the book, my emotions were all over the place. Invisible Love Letter is probably one of my favorite reads this year and I’m itching for the follow-up Endless Love Letter. I’ll also say that Invisible Love Letter has made the rare list if books with almost completely irredeemable female leads, but one you WANT to see every second of their story.

A love story different than what you have read in the past with passion, angst, secrets and of course a musician, Invisible Love Letter will have you swooning one minute, frustrated the next and hoping that you will find the ending you want for Emmy and Weston as you turn the final pages of this incredible story. Invisible Love Story by Callie Anderson is a 4 star read for me and i suggest that you drop what you are reading now and pick up this book, the tears may make you wish you hadn't at first, but the love that emanates off of the page will have you recommending it to all of your book buddies.

Although Emmy grew up with music in her soul, she also grew up realizing the pain of true love, especially when lost after seeing her father lose her mother. Believing that the pain is not worth having, she avoids love at all costs, especially with musicians; that is until Weston walks into her life not taking no for an answer. Emmy is adiment that she will not become involved with a musician, no matter what her heart wants. She is following her head on this one. Weston, oh Weston, I almost fell head over heels for him myself. He was the perfect mix of sex god, easy on the eyes, and deep with his words. Although Emmy is skeptical Weston does everything in his power to break down her walls so that she will agree to be with him. When Emmy finally gives into Weston, it seems as everything is perfect, until Weston gets the chance of a lifetime and Emmy refuses to stand in his way. Despite the secret that she carries with her, she makes sure that Weston follows his dreams, even it it means crushing her heart in the process. Believing what she is doing is the best thing for both of them Emmy lives a life without Weston, although she carries him with her wherever she goes.

When Emmy and Weston reunite it is electric, but the reader is perched on the edge of their seating wondering how he will react if she ever reveals the secrets she has kept. I was frusterated with Emmy at times for not coming clean with Weston, for doubting his love for her, for doubting the kind of man he was. And I turned each page wondering what would happen next.

Will Emmy and Weston be able to move past everything in order to be together or will the secrets tear them apart for good? You will have to read this incredible story to find out, a story that will have you going through every emotion as you read, but well worth each page.

Alrighty then...this debut novel by Callie Anderson is one you won't be able to put down. So take my advice and prepare ahead of time. Put the take-out menus out where the family can see them. Then...lock yourself away in your favorite reading nook with your favorite beverage, snack of choice and a box of tissues. This is a story that will evoke all of your emotions, hence the tissues, for the good cry and the bad.

Your first love is special. The one that you always remember forever.

This is Emilia's story and it begins on the day her friends are giving her a going away party. She is now 20 years old and she's been in LA going to school with her best friend Leslie. Tomorrow she's leaving to go back to Brazil where she lives with her Aunt and Uncle. Both of Emilia's parents died when she was young. Her father was a famous rock star in a band and they lived in the US. When Emilia was 11 her mother died and then on Emilia's 12th birthday her father died. After her father's death she was sent to Brazil to live with her Aunt and Uncle. The tragedy of losing her parents has scared her deeply. So deeply that she believes "Love is fatal; a snake that slithers into your life, poisons you with its venom and then leaves you there to die."

So when she meets Weston, it's on the day before she's leaving the US. They have an instant connection, that sizzle when they touch. It's a connection that is embedded in their hearts and minds that reignites when Emilia returns to the US a year later and they meet again. Thus begins the story of Emilia and Weston, the story of their love.

I'm not going to say anymore here. You need to experience the story on your own. So grab your copy and settle in for a great read. By the way, I loved this story so much I reread it the very next day.

I applaud Amazon for featuring this the other day, and the fact I actually paid enough attention to click it is feeling making me feel pretty good at this point too.

Typically, I do not write reviews for the simple reason I do not feel I can do the work justice. I have to feel very compelled to write a review and in this case I do.

I had not heard of this book or author prior to the Kindle email, but again, so happy I got the memo (LOL!)

Wow, let's start there. 3 little letters that sum up my feelings of awe, love, wonder, contentment, shock, emotional upheaval..yes, it has it all.

The lead characters are electric and admittedly, I became emotionally invested in the storyline and characters. For me, the mark of a great read is being moved, having the story resonate long after I close the Kindle and I have no doubt this will be one for me. I'm literally counting the days, and I'm not even sure of a release date, for the follow-up, "Endless Love Letter" (be still my beating heart)!

I wanted to throttle Emilia so many times that my fingers are cramped from holding the Kindle so tightly, but I understand her feelings of insecurity which led to some questionable and poor choices. Weston, well..yum, new book boyfriend. What's not to love and swoon over with this dish of musical goodness?

This has something for everyone and I highly recommend it.

My heart is broken... I really did love this story of Weston and Emilia. There invisible love letters were swoon worthy. They love is special-True love, yellow gel, no dents, love songs, Lyra Skye. The angst in this book about killed me. Then when I thought happiness was in sight, BAM!!! Weston's last words crushed me. Really crushed me. Why??? It doesn't match any of his words or actions. I am just going to pretend he didn't really mean it. I can feel the ache in my heart. Then the last part with Emilia before the epilogue made me want to cry and throw things and scream and chase and gouge someone's eyes out and throw my kindle and beg and I don't know-- give up or fight.. I am too crushed to decide. I hope book two puts ime back together again somehow. I don't want to wait two months!!! Someone talk to me about this book to heal my breaking heart. Any teasers out there?

This book was full of angst!! So if you are a fan this book is for you. The story had so much potential. I am just not a fan of cliffhangers. This one is a major cliffhanger and I had no warning prior to reading this book. I like to have some type of resolution even if the story will continue. This ending left me very confused.

That being said it was a beautifully tragic love story. I loved the musician aspect of the book. Who doesn't love a hot rockstar? I think I pulled through most of the book based solely on Weston. Emilia was very annoying in my opinion. I understand she didn't want to go through "what her parents went through" but come on at some point she has to move on.

If you love angst like I do, you'll love this book...it's chopped full of it. That being said it also has a swoon worthy hot musician that is so sweet he'll leave you with a toothache.
I devoured this book in one sitting, it constantly kept you on your toes making you want more. I loved Weston and I even liked Emmy. Sure she makes mistakes...some so bad I wanted to smack her but I also think Weston made some along the way too.
I didn't realize this book ended on a cliffy, so now I'm going crazy for book two and book one isn't officially out yet.
Highly recommend this book.
