This fifth prequel novella set in the Endgame world continues the digital original series the Zero Line Chronicles and follows an underground group determined to put a stop to Endgame—and save the world at any cost. They call themselves the Zero line.
Endgame has not yet begun in 1972—but it is coming. Mike Stavros now knows about Endgame and the Players in charge of humanity’s fate. He has joined a group determined to stop Endgame by hunting down a generation of Players who preceded the Players from today in Endgame: The Calling. In Feed, the second novella in the Zero Line Chronicles trilogy, Mike embarks on a global journey to set their plan in motion.
James Christopher Frey is an American writer and businessman. His first two books, A Million Little Pieces (2003) and My Friend Leonard (2005), were bestsellers marketed as memoirs. Large parts of the stories were later found to be exaggerated or fabricated, sparking a media controversy. His 2008 novel Bright Shiny Morning was also a bestseller. Frey is the founder and CEO of Full Fathom Five. A transmedia production company, FFF is responsible for the young adult adventure/science fiction series The Lorien Legacies of seven books written by Frey and others, under the collective pen name Pittacus Lore. Frey's first book of the series, I Am Number Four (2010), was made into a feature film by DreamWorks Pictures. He is also the CEO of NYXL, an esports organization based in New York.
Feed is the second Zero Line Chronicles novella. The line has been split into different squads after training for months, and each squad has been assigned to a line to send their invitation to the fake Calling. Mike is separated into a different squad than Mary and he's having a hard time letting go and being trusting towards her since she allegedly requested to be split from him. Mike, Kat, and Eugene are responsible for the Minoan and the Sumerian. They plan on luring the Players to the Olympics site in Munich, where they will hopefully convince the Players to not participate, or they will be forced to try and kill them. I really enjoyed this novella - it was fast paced, full of action, and I'm still fascinated by the concept of a group of people attempting to stop the Endgame and going against several highly trained killers. Can't wait to read the last novella.
