My absolute favorite book ever. It was so hard to put it down. The way Markus Zusak tells the story of Liesel Meminger and her family, friends, and neighbors is outstanding. The description of the setting and environment places you in their world. You can feel the emotion they feel as they struggle to survive and thrive during WWII. Well written characters, great story, and a plot that sucks you in as if you were living their life with them. Exactly what a good author should do.

I loved Markus Zusak's descriptions. They were so right on. The story, although, sad is uplifting in that it offers hope.
