هنگامی که به کشور مصر می‌اندیشیم ، چه فکری به ذهنمان خطور می‌کند ؟ صحرای وسیعی را در ذهن تصور می‌کنیم که سراسر شمال آفریقا را در بر گرفته است ، جایی که مصر در آن قرار دارد ؛ می‌توانیم رودخانة نیل – طولانی‌ترین رودخانة جهان – را ببینیم که از شمال به جنوب جریان دارد و این سرزمین را تقریباً به دو بخش مساوی تقسیم می‌کند و به مردمی با تاریخی بسیار کهن ، زیبا و اسرارآمیز می‌اندیشیم . هنگامی که به مصر باستان می‌اندیشیم ، به اهرام ، ابوالهول و البته مومیایی‌ها نیز خواهیم اندیشید ، و سرانجام به نماد دیگری از زیبایی این سرزمین اسرارآمیز : نیم‌تنه‌ای از نفرتی‌تی ، ملکة محبوب ، مزین به رنگ‌های روشن . ویژگی مجسمة سنگ آهکی نفرتی‌تی این است که جزئیات آن به ظرافت پرداخته و با واقع‌گرایی ساخته شده است . او سرش را با وقاری شاهانه بالا گرفته است و گردن باریکش که به گردن قو می‌ماند ، گونه‌های برجسته‌اش و لبان کاملاً سرخش ما را به یاد زنان زیبای امروزی می‌اندازد . دیهیمی به رنگ آبی آسمانی به سر و گردنبند بزرگی از دانه‌های بلند طلایی به گردن دارد که به آن‌‌ها دانه‌های نِفِر می‌گویند . بارها و بارها تصویر نفرتی‌تی بازآفرینی شده و به نمادی از این سرزمین باستانی و مردمانش مبدل شده است . ممکن است از خود بپرسیم آیا زنی را که هزاران سال پیش ، این‌گونه در برابر هنرمند نشسته است ، می‌شناسیم ؟ برای شناخت بهتر و بیشتر از او مجلد دیگری از رهبران جهان باستان تحت عنوان « نفرتی‌تی » منتشر شد .

اخناتون را پادشاهی با روح یک شاعر نامیده اند..
دوره اخناتون چون طوفان کوتاهی میان تمام تاریخ مصر باستان‌گذشت..طوفانی متضمن یکتا پرستی..عقیده ای که با اخناتون نمرد و راهش را در تاریخ و سایر ادیان یافت..مانند یهوه یهودیان..
نفرتی تی همسر اخناتون..انچه از او پیدا شد مجسمه  نیمتنه ای ست زیبا..مجسمه ای در مقام ظرافت مانند مونالیزای جهان باستان..مجسمه ای که چه اسرار و نا شناخته هایی در ژرفای چشمانش پنهان شده..
ناگفته هایی از دوره ای منحصر به فرد و پر تلاطم ازتاریخ مصر..

Could have been one (1) chapter only, since most of the information is not about Nefertiti at all.
Also, I hope that this was written intentionally in this way—very repetitive and poorly structured—so that literally everyone could understand, because otherwise it'd be the worst writing I've ever read.

While this was an informative book and I did learn a few things that I hadn't previously known, the book was so repetitive it made reading tedious. Over and over the author states that Akenaten aka Thutmose III aka Nefertiti's husband in every other paragraph - we get it. Stop saying it.
Or we don't know this, we don't know that, we speculate this...... This book basically is 80% filler. Good thing it's short or else it would've been a waste of time. I picked up the book to learn about Nefertiti, not about clothes, religion, etc. If I wanted to read about that when I would have, but I wanted what information there is about Nefertiti.

my book is talking about Nefertiti she was an Egyptian queen, during 14 century B.C, and mother of 6 daughters. Nefertiti and her husband Amenhotep IV who changed his name to akhenaten established new religion and changed the believes of the people to worship one God Aten, or the sun disc. She was the main wife of the Pharaoh, his favorite one, and beside her elegant beauty she was wise and intelligent women. A bust of Nefertiti is one of the most iconic symbols of true beauty around the world.

This was a good book, exactly what I needed for my research, as it also contained some chapters on the life of the people in the Amarna period. It is written in a clear, simple style. I did expect more information on Nefertiti, but I know we barely have any. Good read anyway.
