Life is a journey and for Mercy it has been more than a bumpy road. She’s loved, she’s lost and now it’s time to atone for her decisions. Everything she’s gone through has come down to one moment, one twist of fate, one decision that will impact not only her life, but all the lives around her and beyond.
Faced with the impossible, she will grasp at all the answers, all the truths she’s so long sought. The question remains, is she be willing to make the sacrifices necessary to win not only all the battles but the war, at any cost including her heart?

This ending left a bitter taste in my mouth... You can't make everybody happy and I think that's what the author tried to do here. Only for me it didn't work. Dissapointed :/
I've been waiting for the conclusion of this series for a long time. The series started out strong, an immediate favorite of mine. And thankfully, because when I discovered the series several of the books were already out, I was able to read at least books one and two (if not others) back to back. Flynn has always been my favorite but I loved all three of the guys, especially Luke and Flynn. With such a crazy love triangle I found myself pulled in both of their directions but for different reasons.
Mercy is a succubus...but she's an anomaly because she was born human and has a soul. Part demon and part human. Through the series she has battled with her demon side...even so far as to give that side of a her a different name. It's not until later in the series that she learns to accept both parts of her and come into her full powers and strengths.
I still felt the crassness, sarcasm and overall badboy we came to love in Flynn early on was toned down by the end of the series. He became much more tame....and that just isn't Flynn. Thankfully the heat was turned up more in the last book than it had been in book 4. Mostly though I felt the earlier books were the best of the whole series.
Overall, I got my happily-ever-after....so I can't complain too much. The ending had me smiling and I felt content with the resolution between Luke, Mercy and Flynn. But I felt there are still some holes left unfilled and questions left unanswered....a few things left unexplored. Perhaps it's because there's a spinoff series in the works.
Fans of angels, demons, and hot guys in young adult books should check out this series.
Favorite Quotes: *Spoilerish Quote*: "I'm married to Luke not legally, but still. I'm mated to Flynn, and his life hangs in the balance if we don't consummate our mateship. And I'm betrothed to Sebastian, who has his sights on revenge against me."
But, fear doesn't inspire loyalty and trustworthiness.
You are a burst of light I want to consume.
"There is nothing more in this world I'd rather do than walk with you to the sun and moon and dance with you across the stars."

Well it happened. It's over and Mercy gets married. I'm happy to that its finished, since I didn't see where else it could go. But I will say ---->

My thoughts while reading this one"
-What, Luke? -Mercy has lost her marbles -Never mind there's Flynn -Damn roller coaster, I need to re-read everything to remember it all. -Who are these other people? -Okay, I remember Maggie -Tom what? -Sebastian, where the hell is he? -Mom, dad, wtf? -Oh, Flynn, all is right in the world -Wait, false boyfriend? -Why does this feel like whiplash? (skip a bit....maybe till 75%) -Okay, we're being honest, less whiny Mercy -Flynn, we all know what you need to hear -WTF blondie go away! #TeamFlynn -Okay, Okay, I see the light at the end of the tunnel -Mercy finally figures it all out -Wait? She won't just get a happy ever after with Flynn? Luke is some how still in the picture? WTF?
Side bar: this bothers me, I feel like Flynn accepting that Mercy will have paradise with the best friend (/spiritually married to Mercy) is admirable, but me, in my gut, for this character I've always adored (Flynn) it's cheating. I can't explain the bitter taste in my mouth, but I have one. A promised eternity with Luke totally throws a tidal wave of the wedding of Flynn and Mercy. You basically would rather play in the freeway over it.
I have more to say on it, but I refuse to go any further about it.
Sometimes we need to acknowledge that a ending that gives everyone what they want is always so satisfying. -Oh yeah, she's pregnant. -and it's Flynns *gushes*
*screams again*
Shannon Dermott is an incredible author that I will always look forward to reading
After finishing this book, I can't help but feel nostalgic, I fell in love with several characters through out this series, in fact, I love one character so much I would name my first born after him *sighs*. Sacrifice of Mercy was a tough book, the stakes were higher than ever with everything piling up for Mercy and the gang. There was so much angst in this story, it was killing me! I just wanted Mercy to catch a break, she went through so much and at times I wanted to shake her because it felt like she hadn't grown enough as a character I was tired of her and Flynn's never ending arguments every single thing that happened, but overall Mercy was always selfless, caring and brave and I love her for that.
What I didn't like about the book was that I felt like many many things were glossed over and we actually needed a better explanation for how things happened, it was too much of a telling instead of showing, plus it was kind of out of the blue, for example the part about Paul and the profeci, we're just supposed to accept he was able to decipher it? When? how? I still don't get the part about Luke's room being a key for something??? Nina's situation was never really explain and What was up with Mia?? her character was never really explain and what she said to mercy about Flynn was the opposite of what David told Mercy. Sebastian introduced the other players, but for what? in the end they weren't involved.
Over all, I loved the way things ended.By the time I reached the end I had a big smile on my face, even though I was Team the other guy.... I love Finn and who he really belongs to! Oh I almost forgot, One of the things I loved most, was Sebastian I am hoping Tom will get his own series, because I really like his character and it was kind of foreshadowing that he will have a long way to go in finding the girl, plus we don't know when Maggi ended up with or what happened to so there is still much to tell.....

I'm torn between giving this 3 or 4 stars. I'm sticking with 4 for now because it was my favorite of the series. I did love the ending, and I think things ended with Mercy, Flynn, and Luke in the best possible way considering all of their obstacles and their super complicated relationship.
The thing holding me back and making me consider lowering the rating is that there were many unanswered questions and loose ends, at least for me.
• What came of Sebastian? • The epilogue takes place 5 years (if I remember correctly) later. Where are Queen Mab and Belial? Would they ever return? That seems unfinished. • What about Tom and this mystery girl? • The two demons Sebastian introduced Mercy to (can't quite remember their names)... was that all for nothing? I thought they were supposed to play an important role in the conclusion, yet they just disappear.
There were SO many things going on in this series, it often felt as if I was reading multiple books at once. Because of this, I feel there was a lot left unfurnished, and I'm wondering if the author plans on doing any spin-off series. I really hope so.
Overall, this last book had me more enthralled than the rest of the books combined. So, while I'm a little unsatisfied with some aspects of the conclusion, I still have to give this one a higher rating. If even for Luke and Flynn alone. THAT ended perfectly.
These are the words that best described the ending of the Cambion series. Don't get me wrong, I ❤❤❤ the ending. BUT I feel like it is unfair for anyone to share the love of their life to another, even if it is not in your lifetime but on the afterlife. It is difficult to explain without me giving out the whole story. Perhaps Shannon Dermott wants everyone to be happy. How can one break a love pentagon or at the very least a love triangle when all the boys are equally good for the girl or when she loves them equally? (What a complicated web that I never want to be in hahaha)
All told, Shannon Dermott gain a fan in me! ☺

“I still love you. I’ll love you ‘til the end of time.”
5 out of 5
I squealed like a pig. This book was worth all of the others. What an amazing ending to a somewhat annoying series. I loved it. The action and the suspense and.... well can't tell you. :) https://infinitybookloveblog.wordpres...
I first read this series when this wasn’t finished yet. I really enjoyed reading the whole series again I loved the ending, loved the story and all the characters, I wasn’t ready for it to finish.
I feel like there could have been another whole story on Flynn’s personal development now being in a relationship and how there relationship blossomed once Luke gave his approval

Iam so bummed 😩 this series has so much potential but the lack of sex and action killed it. Not to mention the ending felt so rushed. Not once did we findout what happened to the other charactors like Brent or Maggie?
I guess I’m just too cynical to enjoy an ending like this one. Stuff started to fall into place to easily after 80%, and I’m sorry but...one act of selflessness does not make up for four books worth of selfishness. Time and time again she admitted her words and actions were selfish, rude, and petty. Yet I can’t recall if she ever apologized or tried to make amends. If she did, I can bet it was when she needed their help or wanted something from them.
And I am truly sorry dear author if this comes out a little too harshly but the ending and the epilogue made me want to rip out my hair. I would say more about that but I don’t want to give anything away for those who haven’t read the book yet.
This was a good series. Didn't know who she would end up with. It had a good ending. I would like to know what happen with the others. Did Maggie get with Brent? Did Tom find the girl? Overall great series.
Charlize/charlie was a sixteen year old girl lost in the woods and doesn’t remember how she got there or what had happened. .That night Charlie just found herself in the woods with torn clothes but no scratches. Charlie was a daddy’s girl and having problems accepting his unexplained death. Her dad had been attacked and brutally murdered in the woods that Charlie loved. Charlie doesn’t believe animals killed her dad as the police do. Her dad had belonged to a “lodge”and there are secrets surrounding that. Charlie was raised to be tough , independant, and able to stand on her own two feet. A mysterious boy named Peter appeared and escorts her home. Peter should keep his distance from Charlie but doesn’t. He always seems to show up when Charlie is in trouble or danger. They start to develop a relationship. But Peter comes and goes as he wants and that is hard on Charlie. Charlie only had one regret in the last three years she let the guy she could have loved get away. Charlie always seems to be saved by guys when she is in danger and she wants to learn to be able to save herself. Charlie can’t seem to get Peter off her mind and finds herself falling for him. Than her one time best friend Alex dumps his girlfriend Raine and declares he loves Charlie. Charlie grew up with Alex. But than Alex would say he wanted Charlie but went back to his ex girlfriend Raine and than come back to try to get Charlie. Charlie is the one who ended their friendship in the beginning so she wasn’t sure what to do or who to pick in the love triangle she is now in. Charlie never had any friends beside Alex for a while and never had a boyfriend. Charlie felt like someone was watching her. On some of her hikes Charlie seems to forget things and then the nightmares start. Than people are trying to kill Charlie. I liked this book a lot but also had issues with it, I ended up with mixed feelings on it but was still glad I read this book just won’t read it again.First off I HATE CLIFFHANGERS!!!!! That is how this book ended. I did enjoy the plot and pace. Parts of this book seemed rushed to me. And some of the sentences just didn’t make sense to me. I like the author gave up the history of the shapeshifters and skinwalkers. I loved the danger, mystery, and suspense in this book. But there are a lot of gramminatuel and typo errors. I know I have them in mine but I do try to catch and correct them but don’t always get them all but I ma not a author or publishing company. I didn’t want to put this down even with the issue I had with this book. At times Charlie just annoyed me. This book had: murder, attempted murder, skinwalkers, shape shifters, werewolves, vampires, time weavers, demons, angels, danger, mystery, and a love triangle, and so much more. But I had mixed feelings in the end of this book
