A chance encounter with Chloe, aka 'Nina', an erotic dancer at The Fox Hub, leaves Six, VP of Company of Sinners MC, wanting more. The passion that sparks between them is electrifying but their relationship, while hot and insatiable is also dangerous.
If Six lets Chloe into his heart it could cost her life. If he doesn't it could send her into the arms of another man.

I requested this book because I really love MC books and this one sounded good but unfortunately it wasn’t for me.
I didn’t like the writing style. I couldn’t connect with the characters and I didn’t feel their chemistry. I love my bikers tough, dominant, possessive, self-assured … all things alpha but Six didn’t feel that way. He acted more like an insecure gentleman! He kept on pushing Chloe away because he felt she deserved better. One time ok but not again and again … Let her decide if she wants ‘better’! And then when things get dangerous instead of protecting her he forces her to move far away... They get separated for about 2 years until Chloe gets a professional opportunity in his town. Now she’s the one to deny him until danger from the past surfaces.
While reading I often had the urge to DNF but with ARC’s I feel obligated to finish the book but it wasn’t easy with this one. I hate doing this but I can’t give this book more than 2 stars!

3^^^ Stars from me
Well i love MC books but unfortunately this one didn't excite me so much, don't get me wrong it wasn't bad, i just didn't enjoy the story a lot it wasn't so consistent, passionate, intense as i expected it to be.
Nevertheless it was a fine story and i can say at first i liked the heroine Chloe, very sweet character but i lost my excitement for her later. On the other hand Six was...how can i say i didn't like his ways towards Chloe... Generally i didn't like them as a couple nor i think they had great chemistry and also the background story was a little uninterested for my taste.
However i liked the hot scenes and the cover which is indeed very beautiful i wish the story would be like the cover.
Six and Chloe have a very up and down kind of relationship. The go back and forth so much I got whiplash. The story was good but the transitions felt very choppy. Some of the things the rivals did to each other seemed very very silly to the tune of a shaved head while others took it to the extreme. It seemed unbalanced. The formatting of the book was also difficult to follow but I was able to get through it. The sexy scenes were indeed sexy so kudos for that.
This had some good humor and followed a believable timeline . The feud that came up with was a good addition to make you wonder what was going on with the two of them. The suspense in the book about what was going to happen to all of them was amazing and could leave you on the edge of your seat especially how realistic the ending was. Most of the time you read people disappearing or being taken and them being found almost right away or something and this was more realistic with what they go through with trying to find them and the PTSD afterwards. I just wish the two main characters would have gotten their shit together and stopped blaming themselves and just get together but at the same time I understand with how they saw themselves through others eyes throughout the years and what people said to them that they felt their self worth was less than they really were. Didnt help that her best friend constantly said how bad the MC lifestyle was. Overall it was a great book I just got tired of the back and forth with them on their inner dialog about how they felt about themselves.
ARC kindly provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. It was difficult to read because of the horrible spelling mistakes. I understand that this is an ARC and might be a rough copy of the book , although it was not specified , but to write every single word with one "l" when two are required (well, hell, sell, call, small, tell, etc) really gets on your nerves.Every. single .double L. word. I'm a lot into MC books and this is the reason why I accepted to read Six, but it did not worked for me. It isn't solid and has far too many unrealistic scenarios.
Characters are like two kids and I couldn't connect with them. Chloe is too naive, Six is too annoying . Six doesn't even belong in a motorcycle club . He is too docile and confused . He doesn't really know what he wants and takes rushed decisions. The plot was ok, the story itself had its good parts but some parts were forced just for the sake of going on.The plot was easily predictable . Sorry to say this but I was expecting something else...
This book blew me away the sex scenes between Chloe and Six were so hot they nearly melted my kindle!! The book goes back to the start of what was happening between the two rival biker gangs and gives an insight of what happened to Cain and Melody while also focusing on Six and his obsession with dancer Nina/Chloe. I love Six's caring side (even though he tries to be all big and bad) which always wins out but also nearly costs him dearly as he pushes Chloe away for her own safety but he doesn't always get things right, but you do understand his reasons for doing it. Chloe drove me nuts trying to turn her feelings on and off for Six I just wanted to scream at her, he wants you woman stop being a total b*tch! But I do love a good story where they have to fight for their love and this book did not disappoint me. Lissa Jay has created a great series and i cant wait to read what comes next.
Too many holes in the story. Too many unrealistic scenarios. (Really? Her Library course is in that same town?) AND, Chloe is the luckiest girl alive. The biker drama wasn't fleshed out enough so that part of the story just didn't flow at all. Also, the Cain and Kelly thing (from book 1) didn't work here either. Melody was the only one for Cain and then apparently he goes off and meets Kelly (not in this book though), but comes back and if referred to. Confusing for someone that hasn't read book one I guess. Anyway, there are definitely better biker books out there.
This had a great storyline with the author giving you insight into Six and Chloe’s lives. I’m not sure if these two were a match made in heaven or a match made in hell because they had to go through a lot of hell in order to make their relationship work. Six was VP of the Sinners MC and he lived the rough life in a deadly mc having to do things that “normal” people would never think of. He looked the part of the sexy biker with his tats and muscles but he did have one weakness and that was to be at every risqué performance of pole dancer, Nina. Nina wasn’t like most of the dancers there because she always made sure she had some type of clothing on no matter has small it might be. This wasn’t a job she was proud of and she had to talk herself into going out there to perform every time but she needed that money to pay for rent and food. Nina was Chloe’s stage name and she wanted to keep a separation of her private life and her working life.
Chloe had self-esteem issues which stemmed from the abuse she had taken from her mother’s boyfriend, Brett. Brett came on to Chloe every chance he got and when she would deny him, he would make her feel like the ugliest most unwanted person alive. The breaking point for Chloe came when she confronted her mom as to what Brett was doing and when her mom wouldn’t believe her that is when Chloe hit the road and ended up entertaining men at a strip club. Chloe had noticed this same guy at her performances for quite some time and he wasn’t like many of the others who were lewd and obnoxious. Six came to watch Chloe actually dance because he was enthralled with her gracefulness and beauty. Oh, yeah, and her boobs and butt…I didn’t say the guy was dead. Anyway, Six was the guy who rescued Nina/Chloe at the club when a rival biker was trying to take Chloe against her will at the club. That was the beginning of the Six/Chloe relationship.
Six knew that Chloe was too good for him and that he would bring nothing but danger and possibly death to her if they kept this relationship going so he thought he was doing her a favor by cutting her loose. With the mindset that Chloe had due to Brett’s constant degradation of her, Chloe thought that Six did not think she was pretty enough to waste any time on. It was then that Six realized how messed up Chloe was and how much he wanted to prove to her that she was beautiful inside and out. Six was torn throughout much of the time because even though he wanted Chloe to see how he saw her he also wanted to keep her safe from his lifestyle so he was back and forth a lot with Chloe having hot sex with her and then telling her that he didn’t want to see her again. That poor girl’s head was spinning with so many mixed messages.
Things were getting even more dangerous with the Sinners and their rival mc. People were losing their lives over this so it was then that Six finally put Chloe on a bus that took her as far away from him as possible. After a considerable amount of time apart were Chloe and Six able to find their way back to each other? Would all of the complications be something that they could overcome? Who was a bigger threat to Chloe; her mother’s boyfriend Brett or someone connected to the Sinners rival gang? Would Six be around to rescue Chloe this time when she needed him most?
This book was provided as an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Chloe life has been challenging to say the least. She left home at 18 after her mother’s boyfriend kept making sexual advances and her mother didn’t believe her. Now she finds herself in a small town in Utah working as an exotic dancer, under the disguise of Nina, just to make ends meet. She refuses to believe that this is the best it’s going to be, she won’t go topless, she doesn’t do private dances, and she doesn’t drink at work. She’s watched too many other dancers make poor choices or end up on a path of disaster because they didn’t keep their minds clear. She’s watched the crowd and there’s one guy who seems to be watching her with a protective eye. He never touches her, never talks, and has never approached her but somehow he makes her feel safe.
Six is part of the MC more by default of not knowing any other way of life than by a choice. He goes to The Fox Hub to hang with his club buddies but also to watch a dancer Nina, he’s entranced by her grace and beauty. He’s watched her enough to know she holds boundaries, given his upbringing the life in the club he believes she is too good for him. Then one night, on his birthday, their worlds collide. His buddies have talked her into a private dance just for him. Later in the evening, Nina is attacked inside the club by a patron who belongs to a rival club. Six steps in to save her and in the process spurs on events that no one could have imagined, that paired with people from Chloe’s past aligning with the rival gang and you have all-out war on the streets of Rose Acres.
Now can Six has to send Chloe away to keep her safe. Can two people who have learned not to love or trust find a way to work together? Is there any way for fate to give these two enough chances to get it right or are they just destined to live on what might have been.
I read a lot of this book in a single setting. I was intense and captured my attention in a way I hadn’t had happen recently. This is a must read for anyone who reads romance, a little down and dirty, or biker club books. I look forward to reading the rest of this series. Take note the book has a disclaimer for readers to be 18+ years of age.
I have been a fan of the authors alter ego for quite some time, and also enjoyed the first in the Company of Sinners series. I was really looking forward to reading more from her, and meeting Six again.
I would definitely say you should read Bad Company (Book 1) before reading this one. Due to an overlap in timeline we get to see part of the story covered in the first book, just from a different point of view. In order to totally understand what is going on the books should be read in order.
This book has a different feel from Bad Company. That doesn't mean it is any less enjoyable to read however. Six is a complex character. He has a duty to his 'brothers', that is something which is extremely important to him. He also has a softer side, but in allowing this to come out he opens himself up to a whole world of hurt. Being part of a group such as CoSMiC what happens to one member affects all of them in one way or another. The consequences of Six' actions are, in fact, the catalyst for what happens in Bad Company.
Chloe is simply trying to survive as best she can, but is attracting attention she would rather not have. This leads her life, and that of Six, to connect in an explosive way. Once they meet their lives are changed forever, and the fallout lasts for a long time.
What happens during the course of the book is sometimes not easy to read, but it was a good read for me. I already liked the character of Six, and I liked him even more on finishing this book. I think the constant 'to and fro' of the relationship between Chloe and Six works as it brings the other characters into the mix.
I really enjoyed this story, and I look forward to what the author brings us next.
To say I was eager to get hold of this second book in the Company of Sinners #MC was a bit of an understatement, to finally get to meet Six!!! I didn't think I could love this character Six as much as I loved Cameron in the first book, oh boy was I wrong!! Six is the VP of Company of Sinners who is tempted by Chloe aka Nina who works in the Fox Hub as a dancer. Set up on his birthday as a surprise Six finally gets up close to Chloe, he is totally smitten by her and she has no clue as to the affect she has on him. Knowing the danger he could put Chloe just by being around her quickly becomes apparent but he can not let her go. I loved Six, his awkwardness around Chloe and the affect she has on him is endearing specially since he is also a badass no nonsense type of biker. This was one story that I found difficult to put down, the twists in the story were gripping and I spent half my time hoping and wishing for their HEA. I can not wait until Colt's story in the next book in this series. Thank you Lissa for another fantastic storyline.
Chloe/ Nina was a dancer at The Fox Hub. Six is the VP of Company Of Sinners MC. He is obsessed with Nina. But he pushes her away as he feels that is best for her. Six is very loyal to his brothers of the Company Of Sinner. Chloe/Nina goes away for two years but then she is back but this time she is saying no. I had problems with this story and barely finished it and really didn’t enjoy it which is odd this is the first MC book I have read and did not like. I guess it just wasn’t what I expected it to be.the ups and downs with Six and Nina just didn’t really get to me in any way. I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.
Lissa, are you sure Six isn't a female? He (?) Sure sounds like one! I read a lot of MC romance books and Six definitely lets his female side show, in almost everything he(?) says! Lissa, before writing any more MC stories please try reading a few MC romance books written by aREAL authors, then try writing a REAL MC romance story. Sorry to be so critical but I really hate spending my money to read a book that stinks! And I did read the whole book, thinking/hoping it would get better, unfortunately that never happened. I'm actually going to ask for a refund from Amazon...
This is the first time I have read any of this authors work, and my word, it will not be the last! I love MC romances, and this one did not disappoint at all. This is the second book in the Company of Sinners series, and can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Six who is the VP in the MC, and Chloe who is a dancer. Six is totally smitten on Chloe, and then two of them have an intense chemistry. This is a gripping and enthralling story with all of the twists and turns, and I was captivated throughout. I cannot wait to get 1-clicking for more of Lissa’s work. I recommend this authors work for all MC romance lovers!
Wow. What can I say. I loved this one too. From the characters to the way it tells Cameron/cains story from a different point of view too. I love the fact that it's like a before and after book. And six...wow, is definitely right up my street. Love him. I think he is my favourite character so far in the company of sinners series and I defiantly can not wait to see what else Lissa has in store for us. I would love to see dee's story too as a bad ass biker chick. :) xx Another 5star review for me. Definitely a book you won't want to put down. X
I'm not really sure how to put this into words.. I liked the book, I didn't love it. There were parts I was so frustrated with six & Chloe! There were both so stubborn & lashed out on each other saying hurtful shit! & that bothered me! But I did enjoy it mostly. I read it in less than 10 hours!
Chloe a woman who has lived through so much going from having this bright future ahead of her to running away to get out of a bad situation. Chloe is a Pole dancer to help her survive, she has went out of her way to make sure she is unrecognizable in case that part of her past comes back. Six a man who has grown up around Motorcycle Clubs and is in one now, Six has been watching Nina for months at her job, she is the girl he wants but is out of his League. Once they have a chance he is always hot and cold with her and pushing her away, she just doesnt get it.
What I enjoyed most about Six is watching a woman go from having it all to being strong enough to walk away and to want better for her life even if her job isnt top shape, watching Six want her like he has never wanted anyone, but to afraid to have her in his world for the dangers that lurk. How they both get tongue tied around each other and have this nervous thing due to how they each feel when it comes to the other. I really enjoyed how protective Six is of Chloe even before he knows her knows her.
I loved this book, I was glued to each and every page. This book has two people who have lived hard and different life styles but they each click well together, Six wanting to protect the woman he thinks is too good for him and wants better for her than what he can give her, Chloe a woman who has not trusted men much but has already sorted fallen for him in a short amount of time and feels safe with him, with dangers on both his and her ends and not knowing how it will end. If you like stories like this, then Six is a must!!
I try to find something positive in every book I review, mainly because I will never be the type of person to just bash someone's work. Something that they have poured all their time into, their hopes and their dreams. It is just not the thing to do. I am the type that wants to build up a writer, even if I hate their book, so that they can be better.
With that being said, I really didn't like this book. It felt like a knock off of the T.V. Show Sons of Anarchy.
The writer did an excellent job at writing erotica however. They were not kidding when the book said 18+ It was surely a book that will cause your face to flush and steam to rush from your ears, if you are looking for nothing but steam this is a book for you. If you are not looking for a storyline, this is the book for you.
What I did like about the book however was the description of the leading guy. He was not some sex god who turned everyone's eye. No Six, was a big hairy biker that most people curled their lip at. His description was one I could see in an every day setting.
The female lead however? That is another matter entirely. She was just so...stupid and helpless. Something I find hard to tolerate in women roles, she landed herself in one scenario after the next. She was always being kidnapped or sexually assaulted, it just felt over done and whiney. I was actually rooting for someone to kill her off so I would not have to deal with her.
I think the writer shows promise, I mean the idea was interesting enough it just felt poorly executed
I reviewed Six because the book blurb sounded interesting. And although it wasn't a horrible read, I have to admit it just wasn't my cup of tea. I love indulging in a good MC read. I like the rough alpha males that usually serve as a H in a good MC romance. But Six just didn't seem to be that qay. Six had my head swiveling thru the ebtire book. He tried to play alpha during the erotic scenes but fell short every time. And during the rest of the story line he just seemed to be an insecure quiet not sure what to do with his life or where he wanted to be sorta guy. Chloe , or 'Nina' as she was known on stage, was also totally insecure and lacked any sort of depth to her character. im not sure if the author intended for the characters to come across this way or not. The writing style did not appeal to me at all and quite honestly the only reason I finished the book was so I could leave an honest review. Unfortunately otherwise I probably would have just put it aside. There was almost too much going on in the book at times as if the action was forced and then when we did reach a climatic point, the crescendo left me dumbfounded because so much more could have been done to make the story better. This book may appeal to some and it wasn't the worst I've read, but due to the fact I've read so many good MC romance maybe, it just completely fell short for me. The author needs to work on giving more depth to her characters and her storylines. Slow down a bit and give more detail.
Six (Company of Sinners MC Book 2) By: Lissa Jay 5 out of 5 stars
The story Six (Company of Sinners MC Book 2) by Lissa Jay is an Erotica romance book. Chloe is a dancer at The Fox Club. She goes by the name of “Nina.” Six comes to the club just to see her dance. Unexpected events pull them together. Six knows he has it bad for Chloe, however with his lifestyle she would be in danger. Chloe is attracted to Six and doesn’t understand why Six doesn’t make a move. Can this romance be recovered or will it be broken?
What an amazing story. I like books with biker’s clubs. The storyline is really interesting and keeps you reading to know that happens next. The characters are well written, Chloe and Six at first don’t seem to communicate well. They both want a relationship however they somehow keep pushing each other away. Of course with any book you then have the baddies. They are the arrogant and self-serving type and will do anything for their plans to work.
I highly recommend this book. You will not regret a minute of time you spend reading it. The book does contain violence, scenes of a sexual nature and plenty of adult language. It is intended for readers 18 years or older. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
What first caught my eye about this book was its cover. And while the old saying goes don't judge a book by its cover always comes to mind, a hot guy on the cover is always a bonus. The second thing that drew me in was the fact it is a series book about bikers. My real life is tame, after all I am a librarian, so I like to live vicariously through my books and bad boy bikers are fun. Unfortunately that is where my captivation ended. I want to say that while I under stand this is a galley, the formatting errors made it very difficult to get into the story. For some reason the letter l was constantly omitted from the book and at times I had to try and figure what was going on. While the cover of Six made me want to get to know him, it only took about 15% in before I decided I didn't want to anymore. He was cruel to Chole and her constantly allowing it really aggravated me. The gist of the book was sex --- say mean things to push you away----stalk---sex repeat. I hate leaving a book unfinished but I have gotten half way threw it and I don't see anything changing as it progresses.
My Review of Six by Lissa Jay My Rating 2 Stars I love a good MC story and after reading the blurb I was excited to read this one. I was unfortunately disappointed. The storyline had such potential but I could not connect with the characters. When reading the MC genre I enjoy reading about a gritty alpha male who takes what he wants and a female heroine that gives as good as she gets. This story had none of that. The male character Six was an insecure wimp, and the female Chloe/Nina was just as insecure. I had a very hard time actually finishing this story and almost DNF, but I pushed through. I’m sorry to say that this story was not for me and it maybe for someone else, and because I read so many good MC books that may have attributed to me having a higher expectation. Unfortunately I’m just not able to score it higher than a 2 star rating. *** ARC kindly provided by the publisher 5 Prince Publishing, via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. *** **Reviewed for Hellmouth’s Bookblog & Reviews**
This one wasn't as good as I was expecting it to be after how good the last story in this series was. The push-pull, we're not good enough, and the leave for your own good got old real fast. I did not like how the hero and heroine treated one another for a majority of this book. I seriously wanted to Gibbs them each a few times while reading this story to help them snap out of their own stupidity. The lies started to work the nerves as well that the heroine kept telling. Never judge a book by its cover! These two characters had some strong chemistry. This story did keep my interest;just to see how it all resolved. I can say that it definitely got a reaction out of me. This story was still just an okay read for me though. I had a problem with the main characters relationship for a majority of this book. I still look forward to reading future books in this series!!
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher for an honest review.
This is the second book in the Company of Sinners MC Series but the first I've read. I feel that it was a standalone as I didn't ever feel lost in understanding. After reading this, I would like to go back and read the first book about Cain. I am also looking forward to reading Colt and Ellie's story in book three.
This story was filled with up, down, and twirling around emotions. There were times I started tearing up at the outpouring of emotions spilling from the pages. The interesting thing is that those times were when I was reading Six's point of view, not Chloe's. He's this big, bad, tatted up, biker dude who has emotionless badass written all over him. However, his feelings for Chloe show he has a sensitive side. I really enjoyed this story. *I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy provided by the author.*
I was very excited for Six and Chloe’s story. Parts of this story run parallel to book 1 so I think it would be a good idea to read that too. It's a standalone but I always love to know everything lol. Six is not as I imagined he would be..He was tender hearted, kind, but he had a dark side too. He had this war going on with himself.. he wanted Chloe but had to think about protecting her too. Chloe is sweet and shy, but she has a sarcastic side too. She is very smart yet her past kept her from doing what she wanted. She is hiding but involving herself with Six brings her past to her. I admit I wanted to shake them both a good few times. They both thought to keep things to themselves and lashed out to protect their hearts. At the end tho I was happy how things turned out.
Wow, I love Chloe and Six. We met him briefly in Bad Company, which if you haven’t read this then there are some elements of Six you may struggle with (so not a standalone). Lissa has captured the softer side of the big bad biker, sometimes I did wonder if he was a bit too soft, but sometimes it’s nice to see. He wanted the best for Chloe, and he thought that didn’t include him. He has a lot of ‘stuff’ going on within the MC club, and didn’t want her dragged into it. Unfortunately sometimes this happens anyway. A really good read. Can’t wait for Prez.
