the author gifted this book to me. I read the first 2 in the series and couldn't wait to read this one.
I think they would make an excellent action movie!
I found some editing errors towards the end but was so engrossed my mind skipped over them.
from beginning to end the story races along and swept me along with it.
Not going to recap the story as others do. read other reviews if you want that!
Ms O'Brien is a rising star in a tough field! I sincerely hope she keeps writing!

A good trilogy that kept me buying the books until the end.
Great realistic dialogue, strong character development, and of course, a good story.

The third book in a three book series. I don’t want this series to end. The characters are so well fleshed out and the storyline so well developed that it is close to impossible to put the book down.
Avery and her friend Sadie, along with Sadie’s family are under police protection, while police hunt a serial killer determined to make Avery his tenth kill.

I received an arc of this book and voluntarily provided a review.

Fast paced and well written. My only complaint with this series was the complete inability by the police to secure a location without being killed. Apparently having guns and training is useless against a serial killer. It was good though to see some great female empowerment and overall a good summer read.

I gave this 3 stars because I wanted to learn what happens with Avery, Noah, January and the guy who cannot be stopped. It is an engaging story, but it is too far-fetched in describing an incompetent police force, and--similar to the first book--there are far too many grammatical errors to suit me.

Final act

Nail-bitingly tense, suspenseful atmosphere, good characters and dialogue and of course, books 1 and 2 emotional cliff hangers. So much, however, was predictable and contrived and the end just kind of deflated. Very unsatisfying. So much depended on the ending and it just wasn't there.

A happy ending but a hard time to get.to it.

Finally Avery and Noah catch Arnold but all of the slicing and dicing that they and the team go through is a spine tingling page turner. Interesting characters make the trilogy one of the best stories l have read in awhile. I started and finished all 3 in one weekend.

Wow!!!

Excellent, Emerald O'Brien is a sensational author. The third and final book in the Avery Hart trilogy was just as heart pounding and emotional as the first two.books. These are definitely must read books, but not for the faint hearted. Fantastic.

This series had me holding my breath the whole time. The story was captivating and exciting all the way through. I was glad it ended the way it did and somebody ended up with something good out of it.

An amazing story arc of the search for a serial killer and the team of detectives after him. Many twists and turns later the three part story concludes with this volume. I will miss the new friends I made. Tension and suspense pervades all three volumes. Worth reading.

She gets there

You know in the end Avery will win, but how it comes about was not expected.
She becomes stronger every day, against what the killer believes.
How he started was a shock to find out.
Really enjoyed this series.

suspense & bravery

Filled with suspense right from page one to the very end. There were twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. There were also moments of tenderness among the main characters.

Good read

This trilogy kept me turning pages well into the night. Part with anxiety as to what might happen and part horror at the darkness of the perpetrators. Well worth a read.

What an incredible finish to this trilogy! I couldn't be happier with the way it all ended and was wrapped up. Emerald does an amazing job once again of keeping you on the edge of your seat and not wanting to put it down. I stayed up WAY too late one night reading because I just couldn't put it down. I had to know what happened next! My feelings toward January have not changed, I still didn't like her by the end of the third book, but I did feel somewhat bad for her knowing how hard it was for her to loose Charla.

I couldn't be any happier for Avery and Noah. I think they were destined to be together from the beginning. Unfortunately it took this whole murder business to bring them together, but everything happens for a reason!

If you're looking for an edge of your seat, can't put it down mystery/suspense series this is the one for you!

An exciting, heart pounding story to end the trilogy with. Arnold is still out there and Avery is just waiting until he is caught, so the nightmare can finally end. How many more innocent people will need to die first? Noah, January and the rest of the police are working their butts off to find Arnold. I enjoyed how this last book tied up loose ends and left you feeling complete and satisfied as you read the final words. A great series that will keep you up reading, until you have finished and close the book.

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 Thrilling Stars!

This was a great end to this stimulating trilogy. This, like the previous two kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next, while trying to solve it in my mind as I went along. Emerald knows how to deliver a story! Avery has show such growth and development from the first installment. Noah...just love him! The supporting characters are all amazing. I look forward to reading more form Emerald in the future.
