Gutsy investigator Cassidy Clark is the star of “Bye Bye Bones,” a thriller that crackles with snappy dialogue and feisty females. Tucson author Lala Corriere expertly tracks a series of abductions, including that of a powerful Arizona congresswoman, building this savvy suspense novel to a breath-taking conclusion. Betty Webb, best-selling author of the Lena Jones series and the Gunn Zoos series. Jaxon Giles' beloved dog is dead. He can't prove it, but he knows who killed Gecko. His stalking ex-wife wants to take away anything and anyone he loves. Private investigator Cassidy Clark agrees to run surveillance for Giles, while in the midst of helping the city of Tucson. Women are disappearing. Gone. The women are from all socio-economic walks of life, races, ages and marital status, and throughout the entire Tucson metropolitan area. Were they murdered? Kidnapped and being held captive? A cult that enticed them to leave all of their belongings behind? Without bodies and crime scenes, there is no DNA. No evidence. No trace. This novel is no whodunnit as, characteristic of Corriere's voice, there are more twists and turns then found at Space Mountain to keep the reader guessing.

I enjoyed the premise of this book but the editing errors were very distracting. Multiple punctuation errors and words that did not fit into the sentences.
I would have given a 5star rating for enjoyment but a few grammatical errors prevented that
Living here in Tucson, it was enjoyable to know the settings and locale. I liked the fast but even paced growth of the characters, intriguing and interwoven as the plot developed. Good suspense and increasing tension levels kept me riveted and curious to discover the next twist. The ending did not disappoint at all, but made me want more in future stories. My huge pet peeves however are grammatical or spelling errors. It just ruins the whole experience for me! I noted a few and grew more exasperated with each one. I can suffer 1 or possibly 2 , but even that takes away from the professional expectations I have of a published work. I just don't feel that it's acceptable in this day and age of spellcheck or even better, a couple of proofreaders! I will nonetheless purchase the next novel by this author, as I do adore her spunk, witty cynicism and sense of humor!!
Set in Tucson, the book features heroine Cassidy Clark, a female P.I. Cassie has two cases. The first is a study in stalking by the divorced wife (two years ago) of Jaxon Giles—Sandra (pronounced Sondra, please!) Vickery. Sandra has the most inventive ways of driving Jaxon crazy—and Jessica, the new love of his life. Sandra has money, so she can accomplish some amazing feats not possible by a moneyless stalker. Jaxson hires Cassie to keeps tabs on Sandra, and later to protect him and Jessica. The other case Cassie is working involves women who have disappeared in the city. There seems to be no common denominator, except that they are all young and pretty. Chief David Manning asks Cassie to help. Eventually she ties the two cases together. A fun read. Bridge Publishing.
Lala Corriere has a unique writing style which, while not always our normal English usage, puts us right inside the head of her equally unique protagonist: private investigator and bestselling author Cassidy Clark. While the subject matter, the characters, and some of the plot twists were a bit over-the-top for me, Corriere’s Cassidy relentlessly pursues all leads until she can tie the ends together and solve the mystery. Not a book for the very faint of heart, but sure to please those who aren’t afraid of a grisly plot. Some questionable words and some grammar errors do pull you out of the story occasionally.
So, I love women detectives who are with, strong and a little crazy. This book has all of that and a good mystery to solve as well. The problem I had was it didn't flow well. There isn't a lot of background information on our heroine which made it hard to follow. There is a romantic interest but there wasn't a whole lot of detail so it was confusing as well. I also thought there were too many POV's.
Some parts were interesting but I didnt get real interested by the other parts. A man and woman get divorced - shes not happy she wants her husband back with her. Woman were going missing and no bodies were ever found. It was decided that they probably all were kidnapped and taken to Mexico, raped then murdered. But not everyone ignored this, some started doing some searching to find these families missing victims. Over time the truth comes out. What an ending.
Very entertaining as well as mystifying. Even though you think you know who the murderer is, you have to wait till the end of the book just like everyone else... no peeking ahead! I loved it!
You know from the first who is the AutoZone an my husband used Murray's acid .in our swimming pool ..I not sure that there some of it that is stronger but what we used did burn a p erson.
