Want to mate a wolf? It's easy. Just make him—er, her—howl.
Braden, the Second in the national weretiger pride, put Veronica on a plane back to wolf lands for her own protection. With DoPE—the Department of Paraphysical Entities—secretly determined to control shifters through any means necessary, he needed her out of harm’s way. Especially since “any means necessary” includes the forced mating of the daughters of alphas to humans of DoPE’s choice.
But going home didn’t keep Veronica safe—DoPE still went after her—so now she’s back in Wilden… Back with him. With her so close, her delicious scent calling to him, taunting and teasing him at every turn, he’s not sure he can resist the curvaceous, delicious Veronica much longer. Screw it. He can’t. He wants her and he’ll figure out a way to have her—even if he is a tiger and she’s a wolf.
Except DoPE hasn’t given up. They have new tricks up their sleeves—deadly ones—and they’re resolute to test them on Braden. Can he survive their tactics and keep Veronica safe?
The Tiger Tails series: Fast and the Furriest You're Kitten Me
Quickshot Review I liked it. Started a little slow for me, not as funny as other Celia Kyle books, still not sure about the tail tugging thing and I wished we had seen their initial connection instead of being told after the fact (it happened during the first book, but it was shown in passing). Otherwise, it was an enjoyable little novella. If you’re into BBW heroines and shifters, I’d give it a shot.
You're Kitten Me is the second book in the Tiger Tails series by Celia Kyle.
I was a bit bored at the beginning of this book and while reading the book. The: mate-him, mate-him not was getting on my nerves.
Veronica was a fun in your face character in the first book. I admit I was not expecting her to be that boring and scared of any attacker. So when she was sent to live with the tigers I was hoping for fun, witty remarks and in return I got a tame Ronnie. Their romance was not as hot as expected. One was afraid to howl and the other was afraid to have his tail pulled so they circled this subject till the end of the book. Braden didn't impress me at all, like Ares...besides growling I had nothing to be impressed with about him. With most of the book spent with the two dancing around the mating rituals there was not much happening. The mating came so late in the book at I barely registered it. I don't quite follow the easiness that all the shifters have in killing any threat. It makes it so easy for the villain to have reasons to go after them.
Not my favorite story and I hope the next ones are getting better.
You’re Kitten Me (A title I love by the way) is another winner from Celia Kyle. With all her trademarks of a sassy heroine, a hot alpha male and humour littered throughout the story, I couldn’t help fall in love with Braden and Veronica. A must read for Kyle fans and any shifter fans.
This book follows on from Fast and the Furriest and as I was in the mood for something entertaining and hot I knew this author would deliver. We met Ronnie in the last book where we learned just how important it is to take very seriously the idea of pulling a tiger by its tail! Yes it's no laughing matter as it triggers an irreversible mating bond in them. Now wolf shifter Ronnie doesn't have that particular issue but what she does have is a very big and sexy problem in the shape of the tigers second in command Braden. Oh and did I mention he just might be her Mate? See it's not a joke but Ronnie has a secret and it's not one she can share. Trouble is there are some very determined humans after Ronnie and Braden is not letting anyone get between him and the one female who just might be able to pull his tail! I really adored Ronnie in the previous story as she is one wise cracking gal! Her sense of humour and sheer irreverence just made me chuckle and yes theres a little of that still here but with so much going on its sadly toned down. Braden is a determined guy and boy did he impress when he stands up to Ronnie's father because as the Alpha to the wolf shifters he is pretty scary! Although it seemed at times as if the couple would never get a break fortunately you can rely on Ms Kyle to give her stories a happy ending. As for those sneaking around trying to capture the shifters it's still part of the on going story arc so I'm expecting that pretty soon those evil men will get what's coming to them! An easy read that's fast, fun and sexy but with a solid plot that kept me entertained. I was gifted a copy in exchange for an honest review
"This is a super exciting series" After the first book "Fast and Furriest" I was hooked!. This book and series is so exciting to read!. The story line is amazing and the characters are awesome!. Ronnie is a she-wolf shifter her best friend Zoe just became a Tiger shifter. During this time the Shifters find out an organization called DoPE that was suppose to help shifters are not what they seem. When they tried to kidnap Zoe's mates sister. Later they try to kidnap Ronnie so her Alpha Father sends her back to Wilden to the Tigers for protection. Only there is one problem there is a Tiger who makes her wolf want to howl lol. Braden sensed Ronnie might be his true mate when she was last in Wilden. Now that she is back how is he going to keep his Tiger from claiming their mate?. Can the Tigers protect Ronnie?. Will they be able to put a stop to DoPE who want to control them?. Wow this book is full of suspense, action, humor and some of the most scorching hot romance! You will love this book!.
You're Kitten Me is book 2 and the saga continues with Ronnie and Braden. They both have issues that they needed to over come and on top of that we have the DoPe making things difficult. They have new tricks up their sleeves—deadly ones—and they’re resolute to test them on Braden. Can he survive their tactics and mate with Ronnie. I have to say for the length of the story around 140 pages it sure packed a lot of action, spicy scenes and great characters. I really enjoyed reading it.
I receive a copy of this book for an honest review.
I really struggled to stay focused on reading this book. I was constantly getting out of it to do other things, which was super weird for me because it's short. I don't know if it was the book, or it would have happened no matter what I was reading, but either way I 'liked' the book and that's about it. I still don't know if I'm keen on the tail tugging stuff, or also now, howling. In the end I just needed it to give me something a little bit more.
These are somewhat like the Molly Harper books. And I find the book names cute...Following the example of the first, again a quick fun read. Nothing extraordinary, but a good way to pass the time.
Veronica wasn't t looking for a mate but she did have the boys for the national second Braden. Ronnie could not help but to flirt outrageously with Braden while visiting her best friend Zoe on price lands that is until she was sent home. Tigers found out they had a new enemy slithering around looking for an easy way to control them. Will they uncover the enemy before he strikes again?
I liked the fact that Ronnie and Braden had to learn to trust their animals so they could mate completely. Veronica had to come to terms with an incident from her past. Braden had to trust in what his tiger wanted.
I bought this book when it first came out,I love it. It reminds me of the old Celia. The Heroines are sassy and snippy. I love it. Wish she still wrote like this. I love the plot and growth of the characters .There really needs to be a follow up book. 😊
I am barely holding on for the next installment!!! Well written as always by CK. I always love the humor and snark. It makes the books enjoyable, likeable and relatable.
I absolutely loved reading this one. A wonderful addition to this series. A well written shape shifter romance. I hope that there are many more in this series
I really enjoyed all the back and forth between Ronnie and Braden. Sparks galore between 2 strong individuals just made the interaction between them fun to read.
Here is the thing, Celia. You are pretty much the Queen of Awesome-sauceness. So say I, and so say we all! And who couldn’t agree? Everything that flows from your pen (computer? Tablet? Whateves.) is a delicious blend of funny, dramatic, suspenseful, and just darn fun!
Take You’re Kitten Me. The newest series by Celia is a blast. So far centering around the “coming-out-of-the-closet” of the tigers in her much-like-ours world, the first story, Fast and the Furriest introduced us to the tiger pride, and its leader, Ares. Poor Ares. Even though the lions and wolves and bears (Oh, My!) are “Out” to the public, the tigers just want to be left alone. And they stay hidden – that is, until they are rudely shoved out of the closet by an article, complete with photos, in a nasty little bit of yellow journalism. An article printed under the byline of the woman Ares thought was his. Oops. Of course, it doesn’t help that the article points out that, if you can pull a tiger’s tail, he (or she) belongs to you forever. Ah, Hell, thou hast no idiocy such as that of a human shifter stalker. “Uh, hey, lady? Really not cool to terrorize the poor pregnant tiger lady up a tree trying to pull her tail. Uh, yeah, I said pregnant tiger lady.” Oy. Needless to say, it was a zoo. And it doesn’t help that DoPE (Department of Paraphysical Entities) is trying to capture high ranking female shifters in order to force them to mate with humans, so that said humans puppet masters can take over the shifter groups and control them (read: Turn them into war machines). Again, Oy. In this second book, the women are still under attack, and the stakes continue to get higher. A few women have been taken or attacked and had their tails pulled – Ares sister among them. And the daughter of the national wolf alpha, Veronica, “Ronnie” to her friends, has been attacked twice.
Desperate to protect her, her father sends her back to the tigers, where her best friend and Ares mate, Zoe, lives. Only, they aren’t on the ground for ten minutes before Ronnie is attacked by humans – twice. Though she has a knife at her throat, the human press don’t catch that part, only the part where Ares’ Second, Branden, and two of his security team kill two of the attackers and critically injure one. Don’t mess with an Alpha Second when his ‘gonna be mate, no matter if she is a wolf or not’ has a knife at her throat. Ah, well. So much for the whole “We really are just harmless little kitty cats” motif. And of course, DoPE (perfect acronym, BTW) jumps on the opportunity to lock up Branden, his security team – and Ronnie as well. And you can just bet what will happen to poor Ronnie if a certain manipulative General gets his hands on her. Daughter of the National Wolf Alpha, chosen of the National Tiger Second? Score for General Disgusting Monster, all the way around. Hum… you know, as usual, the humans come off as the true monsters. Well, yeah, I can see it. If shifters showed up amongst us tomorrow, you can pretty much call it from the UF books – some salivate to get themselves a piece of ‘critter ass’ while others variously hate, intend to kill, and intend to force them into military service – or onto autopsy tables – in the name of ‘National Security’. Sigh. Hey, as if the guy next door who mowed your yard for you when you were sick and his wife who brought you chicken soup are suddenly monsters just because you suddenly found out that they like to run on four legs when the urge strikes. Ugh. Humans. The gift that keeps on needing a good gene pool cleaning . . .
So, again, Celia is Awesomesauce to the Max! And you really should rush right to your reading device, or local book store, and grab up everything she has written. But starting with the Tiger Tails series is a great start if you haven’t done so already. Enjoy! I absolutely did.
I sometimes get books from Celia in exchange for realistic reviews, but in this case, I just bought it. Couldn’t help myself – So excited to get the next in the series!
With the DoPE on her wolfy butt, Ronnie father sends her back to the pride her best friend belongs to and the man that could be her mate. Ronnie tried everything to keep away, but when her father, the National Wolf Alpha, makes up his mind there is no changing it.
It doesn't take long before the DoPE finds her and puts not only Ronnie in danger, but also her mate.
Braden doesn't know how he would ever be able to take Ronnie as his mate. After all he's an 800 pound tiger and she's just a little wolf. He's not sure how they would ever get through the tugging tail tradition to be fully bound. But as the threat of the DoPE continues over their heads, Ronnie and Braden can't stay away and will do anything to be together, even not fully mate.
Once again Celia Kyle pulls her story together with laughter, great romance and sharp tongues. I already liked Ronnie in the first book of the series "Fast and the Furriest". She came to the rescue when her best friend sounded in distress over the phone. Braden is the strong Beta, but all alpha, who doesn't want to lead and would rather be all the muscle when needed.
This story is fast based and quick on whit and charm. It can be read alone, but you'll want to check out the first in the series to learn the story of the tigers and why it is so important to "pull their tails".

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review. The saga continues with Braden/Veronica and DoPE revealing themselves to be enemies instead of allies. Shortly after returning to the Lakes DoPE agents break in Ronnie's home, in order to force her into a mating, so her father decides to send her back to Wilden. Ronnie is reluctant to return even though she would get to see her best friend Zoe, because Braden would be there. Both Ronnie and Braden know that they are mates and they each have reservations about acting on those feelings. Braden does not know if his tiger would accept Ronnie's smaller wolf and he isn't sure if should would be able to pull his tail. Ronnie has a hidden pain in her past, that makes the thought of mating anyone too much to bare. Her wolf was forced to act out and protect Ronnie, and now she is afraid she won't be able to keep her from harming Braden if they attempt to mate. The two butted heads on the issue quite a bit, but then decided to mate on their own terms and let the rest be what it would be. Ronnie comes up with a solution to help Claire deal with the situation she in from the forced mating from book one, she suggests Claire going to the Lakes with her mother-who helped Ronnie come back from her own ordeal.I thought that was really cool that she took an interest in talking to Claire and suggesting it. Ares wasn't too keen on the idea at first, but that's okay. Cadman and his crew are up to a bunch of mischief this go round, its hard when you can't rely on people you once trusted. I liked Ronnie's attitude, she was tough one moment and cracking odd jokes the next. I really enjoyed the part where she and Zoe were rolling around on the ground and then the guys come in and it almost turns into a big fight with the guys and she break it up by trying to hiss at them, wolves can't hiss.
I love reading Celia Kyle Shifter stories! This Series has a different twist to it, humans know about the Shifters. The government has a branch called the Department of Paraphysical Entities or DoPE. But somethings not right.
They've had soldiers, & humans, trying to kidnap & claim high-ranking Shifter females starting with Claire, the national tiger Alpha's sister. She was injured & claimed without her consent, her tail was pulled, an act that binds the souls of the couple. Not nice! Claire's a mess.
Now Veronica, the daughter of the national wolf's Alpha, has been attacked & drugged only days after leaving Wilden, the Tigers Pride. Fortunately, the drug hardly affected her & the soldiers were taken into custody. Once they get all the information from them, they'll face Shifter justice. Ronnie is being sent back to Wilden, so she can be protected & her father can take care of business, finding a solution to the DoPE problem.
Braden has mixed feelings about Veronica coming back. She's his mate. He sent her back to the Lakes to be safe, now that she's coming back to Wilden, she's his mate & she won't be leaving again. Can his tiger mate with her wolf?
Ronnie knows Braden is her mate. But previous trauma tells he she couldn't follow through with a mating.
The Shifters are being attacked using their Alpha families females. They're trying to force them to mate with humans of DoPE's choice, then the Alpha's can be controlled. The focus needs to be on protecting them by any means necessary. For Veronica that means she'll mate with Braden. And the Were's will work on finding a solution.
I loved this story of Braden & Ronnie! I hope you love it also!!
Wow! I found You're Kitten Me (Tiger Tails Series, Book 2) by Celia Kyle to be just awesome.
It was spicy and entertaining read. While reading the book, I was eagerly hanging on trying to find out what would happen next. I could not put the book down. Celia Kyle delivers her unique storytelling with dynamic dialogues for the characters. Ronnie says quirky, funny expressions, and has a sense of humor. She makes me laugh, and smile.
The main characters are Veronica "Ronnie" Barrington (werewolf) and Braden (weretiger). Braden has alpha qualities and it comes in handy. They have both denied the mate bond and gone separate ways. Second chances don't happen often for these star crossed mates. What will happen next when they meet up again?
Danger is coming. The shifters need to work together against a common enemy.
The story does have an HEA. All the scenes unfolded at a good pace throughout the story. The story held together and characters' dialogues made sense. The sexual tension and chemistry between Ronnie and Braden hot. The steamy scenes were spicy. The setting was vivid. I could imagine myself in the town of Wilden or seeing the botched kidnapping attempt on Ronnie.
Readers are in for romance, spicy scenes, drama, danger, action, and suspense. Readers get a view of wolf pack dynamics, tiger pride, romance, pride life and pack life. The story is well paced and well thought out. I was entertained with Celia Kyle's vivid storytelling, and the world she created.
I give 5 stars for You're Kitten Me (Tiger Tails Series, Book 2) by Celia Kyle!
This was sooooo good!! I absolutely loved it. Braden and Veronica are awesome characters. I loved them in the first book and so was very happy to see their story. I was drawn in from the very beginning and didn't want the story to be over. I can't wait for the next installment. I love this world that Celia Kyle has created! Veronica is sent back to Wilden to stay with the Tigers because someone is trying to take her to force a mating on her. She tries to avoid it because her mate is in Wilden and they were denying it. Once Braden sees Veronica again though, he is done with the denial. He has decided that he wants Veronica as his mate and is not going to be denied. They are both iffy about how it will work out because one is a Tiger and one is a Wolf but they are both strong and totally made for each other. They have to keep Veronica safe and figure out their mating and work through Veronica's past. I loved how this was written. It's a great story that I couldn't put down once I started it. I love how the action and emotion are blended together and the way that Braden and Veronica work together. Braden is strong enough for Veronica, she just has to figure out how to trust her wolf regarding a mate. The sex is explicit when they finally get there. The story is so much more though and I love getting to see the rest of the characters and I can't wait for their stories as well. I'm hooked on this series! Definitely recommend reading it. It's a pretty quick read for me and I'm always left wanting more (in a good way!) Can't wait for the next story to come out!
I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.
In this book we get Veronica (Ronnie)and Braden's story. As you remember from the first story Zoe's boss printed pictures of the tiger alpha as he transitioned from human to tiger. This brought in the DoPE and with them even more trouble. In the beginning of this book we find that though they can't prove it they believe that the DoPE sent men out to kidnap Ronnie. They believe that they are trying to get the alpha's children and mate them by using their very private ways of mating. Case in point when the men pulled Claire's tail it bound them on a soul level that still has yet to be answered for. In this book they wanted to make Ronnie howl for one of the men to bind her to them.
Neither alpha knows what their ultimate goal is but Braden being Ares second is determined to not only protect his mate but also the entire pride as well. Braden knows that this may be more difficult with not only his mate being wary of something but also with them being different species.
This book is another hit in this series. I do recommend that you read the first book in this series before this one just so parts of this book make sense. This book show how the power of love can start healing anything. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Speaking of being honest I haven't had a chance to read the first book yet. Its on my list though. Only reason I went ahead and read this first is because it was a time sensitive ARC. Going to read the first book this weekend ha. Anyways, I was a smidge lost at first but I got the gist but will obviously fill in the blanks once I read book 1. So, technically this COULD be read as a stand alone but not without a little confusion and a need to read about Ares and Zoe.
I really loved the book. It was cute and funny and one of her shorter books but loved it nonetheless. It took me some time to connect with Ronnie honestly. I didn't dislike her I just didn't understand where she was coming from at first. Once it came together Ronnie and I were like best buds! LOL. Braden is cute and all growly and hawt! I loved their chemistry and lemme tell you they had it in spades! Great secondary characters and cant wait to learn more about them. I will say these mating's are really different than what I am used to reading about. They are very unique and kinda cool and sorta sad in some instances like Claire. Loved the book and look forward to more stories!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This series is getting better and better with each installment! This one certainly delivers exactly what we all wanted - to see Veronica faced with her own mate.
Veronica, who we met as the outrageously vulgar and hilarious bestie to the alpha's mate. Their friendship was so wonderfully "real" in that way that two women who are close can be. Watching her mock the mating of the tiger alpha meant only one thing - karma was going to come back and bite her... literally. Turns out, while her best friend was working out the logistics of her relationship, Veronica was spending her evening snuggling with a certain second in command. When she was called home to her alpha wolf dad, she eagerly ran away from something she didn't want to worry about.
Now that the bad guys have gotten brazen enough to try to break into her house, she finds herself flung onto a plane heading back towards her confusing mate situation. Can a wolf and a tiger even mate? Well, if there's a way, the chemistry between these two won't let them *not* do it. This couple may have a lot of obstacles, but that's what makes the HEA even more enjoyable.
Veronica knows by leaving Wilden she has dodged a bullet. But now DoPE has forced her father’s hand and she finds herself back where she least wants to be, near the shifter who is more dangerous to her than any other threat. Can she move beyond her past and embrace her future? In You’re Kitten Me by Celia Kyle we see DoPE is still up to its nasty tricks. And Veronica is the next female shifter in its sights. Braden did the hardest thing by sending Veronica home. Now she is back and he doesn’t have to strength to sending her packing again but can he convince her to trust in him? I loved the back and forth between Braden and Veronica. Ms. Kyle’s snarky sense of humor was out in full force as Veronica fought her attraction to the tiger shifter. I loved the laughter even as the emotions were engaged. Veronica’s history was painful and full of mind fields but Braden was up to the challenge. He was determined to show Veronica he could be trusted with her heart. But Veronica wasn’t the only one who needed to learn to trust, Brendan also needed to trust in Veronica’s strength. I enjoyed this story and am looking forward to where Ms. Kyle will take us next in this series.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I was looking forward to this book since I read Fast and the Furriest because I had fallen in love with Ronnie. She was badass and hilarious. This is not the book I expected to get. I expected funny and a lot of ass kicking, what we got was a lot of past trauma, angst and almost a 180 in Ronnie's personality. There were very few funny scenes, and our seemingly badass she-wolf has firmly tucked tail. I think if you read this book first you'd enjoy it more since you wouldn't have any expectations. Braden is sweet but I didn't fall for him like I did Ares, but that could be because he was almost too sweet when it came to dealing with Ronnie....not sure I find it believable that he could respect a mate that found herself unable to help when it became necessary. He was so concerned about her ability to tug his tail when he should have been concerned she'd hide if someone was sticking a knife in his back. So definitely not one of my favorite CK books, but not so bad I'll quit reading her just because I didn't get the book I was hoping for.
This is the second book in the Tiger Tail Series. Braden and Ronnie come together with the expected sparks and verbal fights. Both knew they were mates but did not act on it because both had reason why they could never truly mate completely. But are forced to mate to protect each other from DoPE. I expected Ronnie to be more of a fighter not to freeze when she was in danger. This just fed into Braden's fears and did not really leave a reason why he was suddenly all in. For Ronnie's fear Braden and her work on them in what I believe was a believable way making hers a non item. Claire's story is also moving along as a side story and she is on her way to get help and support she needs. Hope to see her story soon. This book was funny and sexy and a good read, I am looking forward to the next in the series.
