WHEN JACK MET EVIE he found his usual movie star charm wasn't enough to catch her attention. In fact, she seemed to be actively avoiding him . . . He's heard Evie has a fatal fear of paparazzi, but that doesn't mean he should ignore his heart, does it?
WHEN HARRY MET BETH he was tongue-tied for weeks. How was it possible this goddess of a woman now worked at their local hardware store in McLaren Vale? And how on earth will this farmer's son get up the courage to win her love?
WHEN HENRY MET GINA he instantly knew two things. One, that she was a changer like he was. And two, that his dad was right about the way their kind fell in love - instantly, irrevocably. But has Gina felt it too?
WHEN ELOISE MET ZACH she sensed something strangely distinguished about the masked intruder holding her captive outside her own ball. Lady Eloise Blakely has always longed for a world less ordinary, but is she ready to give her heart to an outlaw?

Four super super short stories that aren’t short stories at all.
Argh. I wouldn’t have read two of the titles had I known they are first chapters to the author’s full length novels. It really does pay to research every authors short story before picking one up. I was thoroughly enjoying the two and they just ended…on a huge cliffhanger, “What the heck, how can short stories finish up like that?” Did a bit of research and low and behold they’re both full length novels with different titles. Not wanting to add more books to my TBR list but here we are. And what’s worse they are not available at the library, nor are they in print and only come as an e-book. The e-books are quite expensive. I thought e-books are supposed to be cheap? Isn’t that the idea of e-books? Anyway, I’m miffed. Not happy, Jan!
A nice set of four short stories, although they mostly read like first chapters instead of stand alone stories. Quick reads, but well written and absorbing. A good introduction to these authors.
Four good short stories. Wished they had been longer to know what happened next. Good coffee time read. Or could be opening chapter of a full length novel.
"‘If I decide to marry, it will be for life and it will be to a man who is more than just wealthy. The man I marry will be strong and kind and loving. I believe I deserve that and nothing less.’"
This was a cute collection of stories. I didn't get a good sense of wanting to read more about most of the characters. I do want more about Harry and Beth! It was a fun, easy read. I do want the last one, sadly it's only available in Australia!
Grab yourself your favourite beverage sit back and enjoy these 4 short stories all about love at first sight and how each couple Jack & Evie, Harry & Beth, Henry & Gina and Eloise & Zach first met all with different settings and different reactions to the sparks that ignite within the characters.
I enjoyed these stories and I recommend them for an hour or so's reading in any type of weather>
