Crave… something a lifestyler knows all too well
There are predators in every lifestyle. I truly wish we were better at teaching our youth how to say no and to be more discerning and cautious… not overzealous cautious or paranoid but a healthy amount of caution to be sure. One of the first things I would teach a submissive in the lifestyle is that submission does not mean doormat. It does not mean they are the plaything for all dominants. They have the right to say no. But what happens when someone lets a wolf into the well guarded and monitored hen house?
Linnet finds out in excruciating detail when the vetting process at the club she attends lets in several unvetted guests, one of which is a total madman. Uncomfortable from the vibes the dominant projects she acquiesces to his demands for a tour… after all her dom will be there shortly… what could possibly happen? To say it was a very painful lesson in just what could happen is to say the least. What was a beautiful and transcending experience has been corrupted and Linnet has been left scarred inside and out. Her method of coping… leave the Master and the life she is totally in love with. But Linnet finds that while leaving Gage she still finds solace in the lifestyle… now from the other end of the spectrum. Her life has also taken a total 180 because today she is sporting a detective’s shield for the sex crimes division.
Ryder loves to serve Mistress L. The pain she delivers is exquisite, the pleasure rewarding. She is everything he wants in a Domme, but getting past that inflexible exterior seems an almost impossible task. Discovering that Detective Linnet Adams is none other than Mistress L is a definite eye opener. Finding out that she is also the target of a serial killer and the one that got away has this quiet psychologist fighting to protect and care for his Mistress. As a specialist in BDSM-related crimes, Ryder has been working this particular case for the past seven years. Clues at the latest crime scene up the stakes and the threat to Linnet more than doubles. Linnet was everything to Gage. The club was his only remaining connection to Linnet. So he bought it and has sworn that never again will he allow the atrocities that were committed to happen in his establishment. With the escalation of the serial killer’s actions Gage decides it’s time to be a bit more proactive. Imagine his surprise to find out that his Linnet has been under his very nose for several years as Mistress L. Imagine his joy when she walks into his office… and his despair when he realizes she has another man in her life.
The solution to their interpersonal issues isn’t cut and dried… or are they? What would you give? What would you do for the woman you love? What would you risk to make sure she’s safe? With a madman dogging her heels, things are bound to get dicey.
Crave was a fast read. The emotions and the action were intense. While some might think that portraying BDSM against the backdrop of violence and suspense might give someone the wrong impression of the lifestyle, I don’t find that to be the case. I think Ms. Bishop did a wonderful job in portraying the beauty of BDSM and the fact that any lifestyle can have it’s predators. I thoroughly enjoyed reading Crave and fully understand why it was nominated for the Golden Flogger Award. So if you are looking for a great BDSM romantic suspense/thriller, Crave will definitely meet your needs.

It had been a rough week, and her exams were finally done, freeing up more of her time to devote to Master Gage. Just the thought of her dark haired, muscular Dom sent shivers down her spine. The good kind. “Master Gage said we had to keep everything low key until the semester was over. I just hope he’ll make it in tonight. He texted me he was going to be late and to help with the visitors.”
“Maybe he wants you to help the new guy feel at home.” Her best friend April grinned and spun from side to side on the bar stool, her feet dangling. “He’s supposed to be Master Gage’s special guest.” She polished off her cranberry juice and turned to slide the empty glass across the bar to Bernie.
“Thanks.”
“No problem.” The large black man smiled, his eyes dancing merrily. Everyone understood Bernie was the biggest teddy bear in the place, but if anyone threatened one of the subs, he would rival even the toughest Dungeon Monitor. “You girls be careful tonight. The boys upstairs are on another membership drive, and I’m not so sure they checked out everyone like they normally do.”
“Hmmm.” She eyed the charismatic blond man from across the room. He was surrounded by women, each one eager to get a taste. “God. It’s like a feeding frenzy.”
April laughed. “It is. I hope they leave more than the bones for whoever gets him tonight.” Her Domme Evelyn waved at her from the St. Andrew’s cross. “Look, I have to go. Mistress Evelyn is summoning me. You have a great time, honey, and give me a call tomorrow.”
“Will do.” Linnet picked up her ginger ale and took a small sip. She tugged down her frilly micro skirt and checked her corset to make sure everything was in place. It felt good to sit down. The new black heels she’d worn tonight were absolutely killing her, and it hadn’t even been two hours yet.
Bernie narrowed his eyes, his lips turning down in disapproval as he gazed at the blond. “You be careful around that one, Linnet. There’s been talk.”
Linnet cocked her head. “What kind of talk?”
“The kind that makes me want to throw his ass out the front door and not care where it lands. I can’t believe he wormed his way in here.”
“Really?”
“Just don’t let yourself be alone with him, okay?”
“Point taken.” She swallowed the last of her drink and heaved herself off the stool and back onto the floor. Her feet still hurt, but at least it was a little better after sitting. “I’d better make my way into the fray. If Master Gage comes in and sees me sitting, I’ll get my backside warmed but good.”
Bernie chuckled. “You know you like it when that man paddles you. Hell, he could paddle me anytime.”
“Naughty, Bernie.” Linnet giggled.
“Don’t you know it, babe. Now you watch yourself, you hear?”
“I will. Don’t worry.”

I received a copy of this book from the author and Paranormal Romance & Authors that Rock, in exchange for an honest review. The main character is Linnet, a woman with a deep desire for a kinky lifestyle and she’s determined to indulge. Do I need to say more? Ok, how about fetish shops, butt plugs, Doms & Subs, Masters & Mistresses, oh and can’t forget BDSM.
To prevent spoilers I’m going to try to stick with my basic likes and dislikes about the book. The story is in third person, but switches between a few POVs, which I enjoyed. I find multiple POVs most interesting rather than a one-sided story, which I think a lot can be missed out on by not knowing how other characters feel, self-explanations for their actions, etc. Plus one POV is… let’s say, the villain. That was interesting. Yes, there is a lot of sex here, but there is an actually story in there too. Crave is the name of the main Club where most events take place. This is where one particular event changes Linnet and the course of her life forever, but here is one place where I found the story lacking. I don’t think there was enough detail given about the tragic event that happened to Linnet. I would have liked more detail of what occurred during the altercation and an explanation as to how it traumatized her. Despite what happened to her, she grew into a strong woman. I’m glad she turned out that way. When I began reading I hadn’t looked at the length of the book, so when the end came I wasn’t expecting it. The story plot is very fast paced and events just fly by. I believe this book has potential for more. I wish there’d been more pages that covered some of the time gaps. Editing was done well. The sex scenes were actually tastefully written for an erotica. There are some but the author didn’t overuse vulgar words, which I find too much vulgarity can take away from the sensuality and realism of the story building. The sex scenes were hot and the chemistry between the characters was palpable and believable. Overall I enjoyed the book.
PRATR rating, I give it (4) Fangs. I recommend this book only for Adult readers due to explicit and detailed sexual content. ** Beware all prudes** This book is not for the timid and uptight. It is straight-up raunchy, kinky with multiple O’s, and tie me up situations. The book will be available for purchase on Dec 1st, 2015.

If BDSM isn't your thing, then this book isn't for you!, although saying that, it wasn't my thing, but I thoroughly enjoyed this short but intense story.
The author handled the intensity of the BDSM scenes really tastefully, and managed to pack the short 79 pages full of so much more than just the sex and role playing. For a short story there was plenty of description to help you visualise the scenes. This is a story full of pain, hurt, heartache and eventually retribution for our characters. As the book is only 79 pages saying anything more would give away too many spoilers, I will say that this book could have easily been a lot longer, and I would have been more than happy with a few extra pages to get to know Linnett, Gage and Carter a little better.
This was a first for me from author Erzabet Bishop, the writing style is easy and flows really well, I would read more from this author.
The only negative thing I will say is that the cost of the book is a little high for the length of the book.

Ignore the cheesy cover - I am happy to report that Crave was not at all what I expected. It was quick, well-written and intriguing cross-genre read of suspense and erotic romance. While I am one for the BDSM lifestyle and would never willingly ask for or allow anyone to strike me, I must admit, the sensual scenes were well-done and found me rather squirmy and with an erratic heartbeat. Oh my. Ms. Bishop is a talented wordsmith.

But don’t let the length of the story fool you; at no time does it feel rushed or incomplete as you learn of the loss and trauma that shattered the life of a vibrant young woman and discover her strength and determination to overcome a dark and violent past.
The plot was enthralling and the characters played out to perfection. Crave is definitely a must read and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves their D/s romance with a touch of danger and intrigue.

I found this novella very interesting. This was suspenseful thriller, BDSM and very romantic. These character were believable and not a rushed ending. The emotions and doubts in this book was a joy to read. The story was fast-paced, an action-packed. The heroine showed strength with determination to overcome a very dark and violent past. I loved a book which gives difference POV's even the villain. Again a great read and even with BDSM against the backdrop of violence; It also showed the beauty of the lifestyle. There were some hot sex scenes which show the chemistry between all the characters be credible to the readers.

OMG WOW! I'm hooked on Erzabet Bishop and her books and I have barely scratched the surface of what she's written. These short stories pack so much into them and they flow so well, I'm absolutely thrilled.
If you haven't read the blurb for Crave, read it. It's worth it. Then I'm going to say that THIS story is all that and SO MUCH MORE. The plot will have you on the edge of your seat waiting to see what's going to happen next.

Erzabet Bishop has created another hot story! A fast read, and I definitely crave more of this trio. The characters of Linnet, Gage and Ryder were complimentary and wonderfully written. I really like the world she has created here. It’s interesting and not farfetched. A definite fun and fast read! Looking forward to more form Ms. Bishop! I received a copy for an honest review. 5 out of 5 stars!

Intense....
I was gifted a copy of this book and wasn't sure what to expect, but WOW!!! I had no idea I was getting a suspense thriller and a BDSM "smut" book all in one. Very intense. Loved Linnet, Master Gage and Ryder and how their lives came together. Parts of this book were gut wrenching. SO GOOD, must read short story.

Linnet's story is a powerful one. We start her story when she's a submissive; her Dom is Master Gage. While waiting for him one night at a local BDSM club, Crave, she gives a tour to a new member, believing that this is what Master Gage would want from her. It goes horribly wrong, the new guy turning out to be an abuser, reckless and unsafe, and unhearing of any of her attempts to say no. By the time the others find her, the damage is done; Linnet is taken to the hospital with irreparable damage done to her body and spirit.
Seven years later, Linnet has become Detective Adams, working in the sex crimes division of the local police department, but she's also Mistress L, hiding her identity so she doesn't have to face her past. One of her submissives, R., or Ryder, hopes for more with his Mistress, but doesn't know exactly how to achieve his desire. Things come to a head when Linnet is put on the case of the Bondage Ripper, a serial killer who kills a woman on the same day each year in a bondage club, the anniversary date of Linnet's attack. I admire Bishop's ability to write BDSM in a way that reinforces the safe, sane, and consensual mantra that is the basis of the community, yet still makes her scenes hot, raw, and erotic. You can't even root for one of these men over the other, because each one is so different and each one fulfills a need in Linnet that the other can't. I'm not sure how well the triad would work over time, because the men are really different from each other, and there would have to be lot of work and communication involved. But the book ends on a hopeful note for Linnet, with each man seeming to want to make it work. All in all, this is a great little read that can certainly get your motor revving.

I was given a copy of Crave by the author for my honest review. I was really excited to start reading Erzabet Bishop's books. I started with Crave first. I never read the preview of the book on Goodreads, so the story line was an honest surprise.
Overall, I liked it. I liked that it was erotic, bdsm, and a suspense/crime story all in one. Linnett starts out as a sub of an apparently gorgeous Dom. One evening while waiting for her Dom to show up to their favorite BDSM club, Crave, Linnett was forced into interacting with a visiting Dom. This Dom hurt Linnett and once she was released from the hospital, she disappeared, became a cop, and then became a Domme that visited Crave masked and hidden from any of her friends. Over the 7 year period from the incident up to current, the Dom that hurt Linnett got away. Every year around that date, this Dom went to random BDSM clubs and killed a woman who looked similar to Linnett. Linnett became a police officer after the event and eventually was put on this case because she lives the lifestyle and could understand the crime scenes better than the coworkers currently working the murders.
As a mini spoiler, I ALWAYS take a star when an animal dies in the story, especially if the animal was MURDERED. When the pet is a predominant character, I deduct more stars (here's looking at you Patrick Ness!!!!). So, I almost stopped reading when Linnett's cat was murdered by a serial killer out searching for Linnett. Not okay.
Other than that, I really enjoyed this story. I liked the bedroom scenes, I liked the overall character sketches of each character. I am very glad of how it ended. I look forward to reading more from Erzabet Bishop!

This is my first book by this author and I am thoroughly impressed. This sexy, hot, and suspenseful story would have you hooked from page one. Linnet is a happy submissive in love with her domm Gage until the club they frequent lets in unvetted new people and she ends up in a very bad situation. Gage hasn't seen her in a long time and thinks about her every day. Linnet is now a detective and responds at the request of her captain to a BDSM crime scene. Also responding is Ryder a psychologist specializing in BDSM crimes. The crimes are all linked and the link is surprised. The suspense will keep you on your toes and the sexy, hot romance will have you smiling! I couldn't put it down!

This was a first book I've read by Erzabet, I snagged this one from Manicreaders to read and review. I kind of went back and forth in what I wanted to say.
Generally speaking it was a good story, showing that through something tragic you can over come it and move on. Not easy by any means, you jump life's hurdles, you dodge this perverbial bullet. Sometimes you may even become something you're not.
Being in the lifestyle I know no one's perfect well in or out of the lifestyle, but a few points about the Doms bothered me. How I read it was they were brushing the lines of irresponsibilty. But again this is just my opinion. When I find myself in a review delima, I will come back at a later date and reread it.

Wow!
Not only was this book a fair reflection of what is safe, sane and consensual in BDSM, it was also a riveting police procedural.
It kept me reading...long into the night.
The plot was gripping. the characters were believable and the story arc had nothing contrived...there was no rushed ending, the emotions, doubts and the denouement fit perfectly into the story.
Hence the five stars.

I actually enjoyed the book. There are some serious aspects of it. I do like reading BDSM and there are some great authors who can write in that genre and I have to admit Ms. Bishop is one of them! This hit home in some situations and I am sure I am not the only one who can relate. Being coerced and having such a horrible experience and there are predators everywhere. It takes a special amount of trust to be in this lifestyle as a Sub and Master/Domme. This was an intense read and short and sweet. I enjoyed it immensely.

I absolutely adore this. Turning a woman from a victim into a strong protector. The BEST!!!! I love showing that a female can turn the tables and take charge and care of her own self. I also know that the idea of a sub being a pushover or who is someone to be walked all over is complete B.S. (this book shows that awesomeness). This whole story right here just proves it so well. Much love for this book and the amazing author who shows how amazing and healing this world can be.

An ARC was given to me for an honest review. I can't pretend to understand this lifestyle but I do know a well written interesting and entertaining read. This story shows you how a young lady comes back from being mauled by a depraved person with the help of her master and her sub. This is a story of redemption and retribution. This is a quick intense read. Enjoy I did.
