I really don't understand what the purpose of Matt's role was in this book. He went from this alluring, mysterious Texan who could have been a potential hero for about five seconds (when he and Lexi kiss) to cringey man who has a weird, and sappy friendship with her when he declines.
The real hero was Alex, who she then meets. The guitar player for a successful band named Power Station. He's the one member she crushed on. Lexi becomes their PR rep, after she saves the lead singer, James' brother - Mike's life from a fatal car crash. I liked Alex. I liked their sexual dynamics in the sense that sometimes he submits to her & vice versa otherwise it wasn't very exciting. But I felt like they had chemistry which came across in the writing — a big tick for me. He realises his feelings and pursues her much faster than she does. I also liked that she's a man-eater defying the usual trope. Her commitment phobia comes from deeper issues.
Safety: not safe. She and Alex have an exclusive fuck-buddy relationship. She breaks it off when he wants more. I wish he didn't let her go but she denies that she loves him. In the separation, it's stated there is OM/OW (he has a gf - Marcy who makes multiple appearances & heroine has ONSs with men similar in appearance to Alex). They work in close proximity and try to ignore the fact that they are in love. Eventually she admits her feelings - and they reunite. The equal footing made it easier to swallow but that definitely bothered me and took it down a star.
Will be continuing since I have the series boxed set.
Edit: read the other two books. Flop for me, and unnecessary stretching out of two books. Annoying MCs/ no storyline/ crap sex/ cliffhanger bait with some drama. Plus sorry, bands are not constantly on tour; they have lives. For a year maybe before they take a break to prepare for another album. The ending stated where the random characters ended up which was ridiculous. Still wondering what the purpose of Matt was in this book.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE T. Gephart's writing so very much! I had read all of her books but The Lexi Series, and OMG WAS I MISSING OUT BIG TIME! These books are my absolute favorite, and I don't say that lightly.
Lexi Reed is a PR professional with more balls than most men. She's beautiful, independent, and refuses to to have any thing to do with men that have strings, because she was burned in the past. That is, until she comes face to face with Alex Stone, a sexy and famous rock god. They have an instant connection that cannot be ignored, which neither is able to resist. She tries to run, but then she becomes the PR rep for his band, Power Station, and is around him all the time. The more time they are around each other, it becomes apparent that she can't deny him any longer, and they start a relationship journey. With her fears from the past, his jealous ex girlfriend, and the media, will Lexi and Alex be able to wade through the stormy waters to a happily ever after?
OMG Lexi Reed is my hero, and girl crush. She has become my favorite female heroine of all time. This series has ripped out my heart, set it on fire, stomped on it getting said fire out, and finally shoving it back in all stitched up. The character development is spot on perfect, with all main and secondaries being awesome! Alex is the perfect alpha male, and again I LOVE Lexi! A fast paced, emotional, and extremely well written story line flows effortlessly, with well placed humor that had me laughing until my stomach hurt. The Lexi Series is highly addicting, as once I started, I stayed up most of the night to finish it, as there wasn't anything that could make me put it down. T. Gephart does a brilliant job in writing such a larger than life story that I experienced rather than just simply read, and my heart raced cover to cover through all three books. The powerful emotions that I experienced, were physical, and the EXPLOSIVE panty melting goodness gave me hot flashes. I can't say enough great things about this series, and 5 stars is simply not a good enough rating. In conclusion, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This the Lexi series ,which starts with" A Twist of Fate " and for anyone who hasn't read this great series you should try it ,I thoroughly enjoyed the story. Lexi has just gone through a bad controlling relationship and has decided to take control of her own future and her own life ,she also decided to enjoy sex when ever she was it ,with who ever she wants to without any ties. So she decides she needs a change in her life, so she moves to Rome with only a few dollars in her pocket, and all her worldly belongings in her suitcases. She gets a job waiting tables in an Italian restaurant with her roommate and friend Stefanie , which their are also good for each other .Lexi is learning Italian from Stefanie and Lexi is teaching Stefanie English. When they are out clubbing together their do a lot of outrageously flirting ,Stefanie is a girl who falls in and out of love just as much as people change their clothing. Lexi on the other hand is in it for a good night of sex without a commitment of an relationship.With anyone until she meets hot and sexy Alex stone a famous rock god , and oh god they have an instant connection right off and it can't be ignored in any way which both can't resist.Will she run from him or what? Can she learn to love himI could goon and tell you more about this great series ,but that would spoil it for you. I highly recommend you read this great story , you won't be disappointed

FOUR Stars- I received an ARC for an honest review of The Lexi Series Boxed Set (Lexi #1-3) by T. Gephart
This was my first book or shall I say books by T. Gephart, and let me start off by sharing that like T. Gephart, I too enjoy strong women in novels. The Lexi Series Boxed Set was terrific! The attraction between Lexi and Alex is undeniable and while this friendship is supposed to be casual and might I add HOT, it quickly turns in to something so much more. Alex and Lexi's story is similar to real relationships, it's frustrating and upsetting and things are done and said that cause you to wish they hadn't. The reactions to situations are very true to real life and at times, my heart broke. But this story isn't all sad, there is so much love, admiration, family, friendship and did I mention extremely intense sex and occasional fucking? The one liners from Dan, the banter between Lexi and well anyone willing to participate makes these novels fun and certainly entertaining. When you start this novel, hang on because...Lexi is driving!

5 sexy rock star Stars!! I loved this box set, it was fun and definitely kept my attention. Each story was more exciting than the next!
I love the Power Station series, so I was excited to get my hands on this box set!! I loved Lexi and her fireball personality!! Alex is a sex on stick musician and he’s so hot!! I don’t want to give too much away with my review but I will say this box set is exciting and so much fun to read!! Definitely worth the buy!! What are you waiting for….go get it!!!

I picked this box set up on a "freebie" offer. Well who doesn't love a freebie and especially as it's from a new author to me. What can I say about Lexi, she is totally addictive. I started reading on Friday evening and have read all 3 books by Monday evening. T Gephart tells Lexi's story with such passion. All of the trials she faces and overcomes. My heart was racing on occasions, with anxiety and anger, I was laughing at the antics she gets up to, and I was fanning myself down as things get really steamy. We see Lexi, move country, job, find love, deal with jealously and betrayal, and finding a way to deal with the most devastating of things that could happen to a woman. You will love Lexi, you will be cheering her on the whole way through, and if you read the first book you'll NEED to read the crest so just get the boxset. I don't do spoilers but if you want an addictive read and something you can't put down, I think I found it. Well done T Gephart, you have a new fan, I will be looking out with interest for your other books.

I read this series when each book was individually released mad I fell in love with the series and T's writing.
T was my first Aussie indie author that I read and I can say all these years later that I still love her stuff. Lexi and co. will always hold a little piece of my heart.
Lexi still is an awesome feisty chick who doesn't hold back and I bloody love her wardrobe and shoe collection. She has a heart of gold and would do anything for those she loves. When she meets Alex holy hotness batman, those two were made for each other.
I love the relationship between each character, they are one happyily mismatched perfect family.they go through a lot together but they manage to come through it all even stronger then before.
If you want a series that sucks you in and makes you all in love with the characters and story then the Lexi series is for you

OK this is my first book from this author, I really got into this, The story was really good and enjoyed everything about it, I love how Lexi is she's a great female character, Strong and doesn't take crap from anyone. And Alex OMG i wish he was real cause i want him. A great set and couldn't put it down.
