Read THE GATHERING first, to avoid spoilers. MACBETH is the tenth book in the series.
Macbeth, along with the rest of Culloden’s 79 Highlander ghosts, is being forced to move on to the next life. But with a small, angry army waiting for him inside the gates of the Hereafter, he’s got more reason than most to remain a ghost. After 269 years, however, he’s decided it’s time to let them have at him and be done, so he can know true peace. However, if he can’t resist the distraction of a tempestuous American lass, he’ll miss his last chance to prove his worth. And his good name is all he can take with him into the next fight. As if Catherine didn’t have enough to worry about in her life, she’s attracted the attention of a hot-but-crazy guy who thinks he’s The Highlander. Lucky for her, she is allergic to all thing Scottish, so it will be easy for her to keep her distance. Unfortunately, he thinks the best thing to do with his weekend is to barge into her life and endanger her grandpa’s delicate state of mind. The Scot wants an ugly fight, but she’s pretty sure she can kill him with kindness.
Look for the Ghost of Culloden Moor website! ADAM is next.
MacBeth is the 10th book in the series. Each book originates from the ghosts of 79 people who died at Culloden. However, each story is unique, and focuses on the specific ghost. Each ghost must complete a noble deed. MacBeth ends up in a coffee shop where he sees Catherine. Acting like a stalker, he follows her, gets taser, beats up some hoodlums, and then breaks into her home and charms her dying grandfather to the point she can’t get rid of him. I loved the scene with the police, I could envision it happening. This story has an underlying humor to it which is refreshing, especially since it was such an emotionally hard topic with grandfather’s fate. The story is well written and interesting. The characters are well developed. Narration is excellent, I love the Scottish brogue. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This is book 10 in The Ghosts of Culloden Moor Series, a Scottish Paranormal Romance. I love this series! Macbeth and Catherine's story is sweet, intriguing, and heartwarming. They are both amazing characters. The story is original, and captivating. Andrew McDermott and Jenn McGuirk did an excellent job bringing these characters and this story to life. This is another amazing addition to the series. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Adam, the next book in the series. Let me start with a tissue warning, like not the whole box or anything, but have a couple handy. Catherine has put her life on hold to care for her grandfather. People have been cured of stage 4 lung cancer, right? Armed with determination, optimism, brass knuckles and a charged taser an exhausted Catherine is ready to take on whatever it takes. When a giant man clad in a kilt comes on the scene, she appreciates the view, but can’t wait to be rid of him. Can any love fix this? Favorite quote “If they wanted a piece of me, they weren’t going to get the piece they wanted.”
This is part of the ghost of the "Culloden Moor" series. Definitely read the "Gathering" first because it sets everything up. Each story is about one of the seventy nine who died at Culloden and are now ghosts. This is a good story, that develops nicely. It is interesting and intriguing with good narration. This one is about Catherine and Macbeth. I really enjoyed this one and is entertaining.
I must tell you I cried more than I laughed., but grateful to have read the story. My mother and son have cancer so it hit close to home. Truly a beautiful story. May I do as well without a ghost hero by my side. Perhaps this story will give me an imaginary hero to believe in when needed.
79 ghosts rose on Culloden Moor after the great battle. Now over 200 years later the Muir witch has come to offer a bargain. Perform a good deed and receive a reward before moving on. Macbeth has agreed to this challenge and lands in Oregon helping Catherine in her time of need.

A really good short, long tale told in individual pieces
With each ghost tale for the 79 there is plenty of ground to cover with each individuals story. I really thought Seoc might actually manage to save Cats grandpa, I Steed of the other way around.
I think you have Catherine a beautiful sport and voice, I had an alonzo, only it was my mom, no hero though as much as I wanted one, but I am so grateful for my time, and she was my hero, thank you for Macbeth
This was another fine story of those magnificent highlanders. Macbeth was a battlefield doctor, so he feels he is not needed because Catherine's grandfather was dying. But he finds he is needed.
The Muir witch has sent Macbeth to perform his heroic deed. He meets Catherine at a coffee house where she works and follows her home. She is caring for dying grandfather , who befriends Macbeth. Another sweet novella regarding the 79 ghosts that are haunting Culloden Moor.
MacBeth was given life for two days to accomplish a feat. Of course he didn’t know what that would be until he came across it. The girl he met was worried about her grandfather dying, but how could MacBeth help them.
All things about this book led to it being a page turner. Unable to put it down until I was finished,it was a beautiful story that was told beautiful y.. One that I will read again and again. Will recommend it to all my friends. Thanks for writing it.
Another wonderful story! I loved Alonzo & MacBeth was written with intelligence & love. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a story with a happy ending but just enough sadness to make it interesting!
But so worth it because the smiles are felt in your heart!I totally recommend this series. I love the happiness that I feel for each person who finds their final path.
I'm glad I returned to this series. It did not disappoint. A quick read has spurred me to read more of them. Macbeth is unique in his role on Culloden Moor.
I really loved reading this book! The story is wonderfully written. Seoc has a good deed to do but a feisty coffee shop clerk gives him a run for his money!
Another story different from the rest. Funny, sweet, and heartbreaking. I enjoyed this story and love the series. Fun, short reads and good character writing.
Macbeth (The Ghosts of Culloden Moor #10), my eighth read from author L.L. Muir. My wife is a Scottish romance reader & sometimes the books she reads influence me. A well-written read and the tenth book in this ongoing series. I'll read more from this author & in this series, but what really got me going was narrator Andrew McDermott, I love his Irish brogue. JennMcGuirk's voice is reminiscent of Roma Downey. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
The storyline of the 79 Ghost of Culloden authors are fantastic. Each time one of the ghosts gets their calling from young witch Son I have given each the respect for their courage, loyalty, with love to give any an all there support for a better fruitful life, for their being cheated out of the richness of life, love, an happiness. Each story has been so moving I'm looking forward to seeing how the following authors do as well.
This is book 10 if you are still reading this series. I am enjoying it so I hope you are too. Seoc Macbeth has been sent to modern day times with a $5 and a credit card. He becomes aware in a coffee shop (probably Starbucks, high a88 place) and sees a female that he wishes to assist to find another job. Of course unlike the others he goes about it the wrong way cause he gets his self tasered..LOL I laughed so hard I thought I was going to choke. It only gets better from there. LOVED IT!!
