The second adventure for Sammy finds him on the farm learning his sheep herding duties. Of course he is still a puppy so the veteran dog of the farm has a little trouble believing he can do it.

Sammy is determined to make a good showing for his new owner but almost everything he tries ends up going bad. He doesn’t let this stop him but instead decides to study his environment learning everything he can. Next thing you know Sammy’s the big hero.

The story is great and should teach kids even when things look bad you shouldn’t give up and there is always something new to learn. Being good at something takes work.

Overall a fun read with great illustrations.
