I read this book when I was in grade school (roughly a thousand years ago), and I have never forgotten about it. It’s one of those books that stays with you.

I have read LOTS of books about Helen Keller and Anne Sullivan Macy. I find their story completely fascinating and have been obsessed ever since I was a little girl. This is probably my favorite biography about them. It's aimed towards a younger audience, yes, but it's still very entertaining for the adult. The original book was published in 1959. I have a newspaper clipping of its release. It's definitely worth the time to read if you can somehow get your hands on it! I found mine at a thrift store and wasn't quite aware of what I'd stumbled on. :)

This is a wonderful Juvenile biography of Helen Keller and Annie Sullivan. The writer tells their story with charm and holds interest throughout. Every once in a while, I need to read about these two. Fortunately, there is a wealth of literature on them both.
