Perhaps I have now learned to eschew Romantic Suspense novels. The suspense is fine, but the romantic aspect could be shoved. I shall keep this in mind the next time I go to a book sale! Yes, and we shall see how well I do at that. This was an okay book, but it seemed to get bogged down at times. For the crime involved, there was a great deal of killing. Aidan and Olivia made a nice couple, but do you notice that all heroes and heroines are always tall, good looking and sometimes even well dressed? I was glad that the dog fared well.

Enjoyed the plot. Main characters were really good. But I found the sexual tension broke up the plot and I ended up skipping bits of it (though I thought they were well done) it just felt like another book was shoved into the mystery. I wouldn't mind meeting these characters again after they've come up for air.

And I don't get the New Orleans PD #2 at the top. The Big Easy is nowhere in this book, I mean, not even mentioned. This book is definately New York/London/Seattle but NOT New Orleans. You can definately tell the author lives here in the NW as I knew every spot to which she was referring. Actually, all her descriptions were very well done. (Yes, the sex, too, but let's not go there.)

the best thing about this book was the dog. it was long, strung out, too many characters it was hard to keep track of everything that was going on between all of them. i’m still not sure i really understand what the book was about other than sex. it had a sappy stupid ending that might have been made better if the dog had been allowed to be the ring bearer. this is the 4td book by this author i have read & agai. it was a disappointment. i don’t think i will waste anymore time on her books.

Probably the least favorite I've read. Story line jumped over things, went quickly from topic to topic. I almost gave up. The main character? Give me a break, "ooh I forgot I had the negatives for the prints we just flew acrross the country to find!" Really??

I was lost in the beginning - I couldn't keep characters straight between what was happening in London vs. NY. After a few chapters it got better. The mystery part was fun - I liked the inept bad guys because they were so over the top stupid. The sex was way over the top. I'm okay with a little romance but some of this was in your face, frequently. I didn't realize I was such a prude! Overall I enjoyed it as a funny romantic comedy, with guns.

This was wholesome. It was cute . My only critique would be the stupidity and annoyance I felt everytime the heroine thought she could keep Aiden safe by running away. But this is an old book so I'll let slide as a sign of the times back then. I absolutely love how Stella builds up the story and completely has you tangles and at the end, all theories are disproven and you're left kinda dumbfounded. The suspense keeps you turning those pages till you get to the final one

this was a lack luster romantic suspense for me.

the villains were inept and ridiculous. the heroes fell into bed and then love and all while they were running for their lives. the girl was somewhat clueless and helpless, whilst simultaneously being intelligent and independent. the fellow was a detective who didn't behave anything like one.

it was sort of dumb.

Fans of Sandra Brown’s steamy romantic suspense often find Stella Cameron’s books fulfilling. Cameron began writing historical romance, but has recently made the move into romantic suspense. Both Sandra Brown and Stella Cameron write stories of independent heroines in danger, and often include a hint of jet-setting glamour.

British photographer heroine and NYPD Detective hero are the targets in a dangerous game that will take them across the country. On the run from a ring of thieves a quick read that I had a hard time getting into.

WOW, this book was boring! SLOW, under-developed characters. Long drawn out plot! Will not be recommending! Those darn 1/2 off book sales! Ah well, I'm sure I'll get suckered into another 1/2 off book!

Glass Houses, Stella Cameron, HB-B, @ 2000, 9/00. While tending to his fellow Officer Ryan Hill's prized orchids, NYPD Homicide Detective Aiden Flynn intercepts an "I'm scared" message on Hill's computer and decides to help Olivia Fitzduham, an English Photographer. Not impressed.

First time with this author. Lots of tension, but shallow resolution of the plot.
Really snappy dialogue between the two main characters.

This book was terrible. I finish what I start, so I trudged slowly through. I would not recommend it to anyone!
