Worse than losing his life would be to lose the woman he loves.

Stranded on a half world in an unknown galaxy, seven Terrans and four Seneecians have declared an uneasy truce. But when three more Seneecians arrive at the temple, including their leader thought to be dead, the balance of power suddenly shifts.

The Seneecian D'har immediately assumes command, and he makes it clear the Terrans are now under his jurisdiction. Everyone must obey his rule as he takes full control of their weapons, their lives, and the only female, Kelen. But when Kyber announces that he and Kelen have mated, Kyber is banished from their midsts.

What follows is a harrowing ordeal as Kelen Chambliss fights to be reunited with the Seneecian who has claimed her heart, and Kyber struggles to survive long enough to get her back.

Reading this series is incredibly exhausting..but also so fun! These books must be read in order. Each one ends in a type of annoying cliffhanger, so be prepared. As always, it's a Mooney book, so it has that 2am Saturday night sci-fi made-for-TV movie feel to it.

Our survivors start this book exactly where we left them in book one, and it's one scary new alien creature after another until a possible rescuer arrives? It also has new planet math!
"You're thinking this civilization is rooted in a trinary system, rather than a binary system? That everything they built and utilized is somehow connected into being grouped in threes, sixes, or nines?"
These books are like a cross between Jumanji, Indiana Jones, and the Lara Croft games. Puzzles to solve, new alien species intent on your destruction, a sweet romance grows into deeper love, and there is an evil interloper.

Kelen and Kyber are relationship goals.
"I'm thinking of how little I know about you."

She snorted. Her breath caressed his lips. "Considering we are two different species, that's not unusual." Her tone was teasing.

"I am also anticipating learning all I can about you." Rolling over, he scooped her into his arms and pulled her closer. Kelen threaded her fingers through his fur. "It may take years. Or, after all that time, I may never learn all I wish to know about you. At least it will be a pleasant adventure."

So this is my favourite series at the moment. Absolutely loving it! It's well written and very entertaining. This kind of genre seems to be quite new. Alien romance but with a fantastic alien planet survival plot. I'm seriously enjoying these types of books at the moment (the few that I've found) by that I mean lone female in a group of desperate men/aliens small amount of sexual jeopardy all while falling in love and striving to stay alive against the odds. Call me a sadist but I think it's brilliant and very interesting to read. It reminded me of the last hour of Gann but a little lighter on the sex and scarier on the monsters - especially the clickers!

I eagerly await the next instalment and pray more authors to write more of these types of books!

The second portion of the book, Neverwylde by Linda Mooney. This portion of the book continues where the first portion left off. and then ends abruptly. The marooned men and woman continue to survive on the unknown planet. They seek answers to the previous residents of the planet and find more survivors that cause more problems.

Not much to say. It is only a piece of a book that continues in another section. Its good but sadly because it is not a complete book I cannot give it more than 3 stars.

Loved this story!

Linda Mooney has written a wonderful sequel to the Neverwylde saga. I hope it won't be the last. Two species must learn to leave their hatred of each other behind in order to survive. If you haven't read the first, I suggest you do so before you read this one. Khyber and Kelen continue their journey and fall more in love, but their old D'har finds them before they can finish their ceremony to bind them together in the way of Kyber's people. I won't do any spoilers in this review. You'll have to read it for yourself. I don't give 5's very often. I will with this book. Highly recommended

The writing was OK. The problem is this entire novel was one long act (as in a play). The novel started in the middle of an action (apparently there is a novel that proceeds this one and you need to read it to know what is going on) and it ended in the middle of an action. Thus 1 star.
