Kiva had been the dutiful daughter. She lived a sheltered life as a simple farmer's daughter.
One day, a sudden rainstorm and a chance encounter changed everything for her.
Stolen away to a land she does not know and a future she is unprepared for, at least she has one good friend by her side... Part of the time.
An enchanting, historical novel about the next great oracle and a terrifying sea journey.
A story of wits and will and an important role that no one informed her of, with a man she doesn't know if she can trust.
I was not expecting such a cliff hanger ending! I hope it will not be long until the story continues.
I enjoy the author's style but there was inconsistency in the tense in which it was written which made some sections less smooth. Overall, a well paced story with interesting characters.
