Dead Man Dancing: A Maddie Fitzpatrick Dance Mystery

Rate this book
It’s not unusual for an elderly person to die in a retirement home, unless of course, they do so during an Argentine Tango class taught by Maddie Fitzpatrick. Maddie only wants to bring joy into the lives of the senior residents of Shadylawn and some much needed income to her employer, the St. Claire Dance Studio, when one of her students collapses and is later found dead under suspicious circumstances. The investigation takes an unexpected turn when it’s revealed that the dead man held a salacious photograph of Maddie in his fist at the time of his death, and is further complicated when Maddie’s former boyfriend Craig unexpectedly shows up in town, opening a whole new can of worms for the young dance teacher. Maddie's current beau, detective Joe Clancy, forbids her from teaching at the retirement home to protect her, but Maddie is determined to continue giving her lessons and to track down her student's killer. Can she discover who it is before her present boyfriend and her former boyfriend come to blows? If anyone can, it’s Maddie Fitzpatrick, Argentine Tango teacher extraordinaire.
